“Andrea provided great care for our dogs during a recent stay. They were clearly comfortable with her, her family and the environment. We received regular updates and pictures. We will definitely have peace of mind when the pets are in Andrea’s care for our future travels.”

“Michael and his family were such generous hosts to our pup! He was very communicative and flexible with our schedule. I would definitely use them again if we’re in the area!”

“Lynnette is a dog whisperer! Our dogs love staying with her and I’ve said this before, but I think they would live with her if they could. Doggies that are normally “chatty” in the car never said a word on the drive home! It’s like they were depressed to leave! Excellent communications and just a really sweet lady. Highly recommend!”

“Katherine was amazing! She took excellent care of our Yellow Lab. She sent lots of pictures with cute captions and we could tell our dog was happy and comfortable. We will definitely use her services again and we’ve already told our friends about her. You will be so happy to see all the love that she pours on to your dog. We took Nala on Wednesday night and picked her up Sunday. We texted Kathy minutes before we picked up Nala, and she was gracious and brought Nala to the car.🥰”

“The dogs seemed to have a great time. They were happy and healthy when we picked them up. Korie has several acres for the dogs to run and play. Korie is very responsive and sent lots of pics and videos of the dogs which made me happy and comforted. We will definitely bring our babies back to Korie!”

“Isabella was awesome. She created an affectionate connection with Lola right away while we were still in her house introducing Lola to her. It was obvious to us that Lola was feeling very comfortable. Isabella kept us informed of how Lola was doing and would send pictures of her playing as well as the two of them walking during the day. There's no doubt that Isabella has a special gift for loving animals, and they seem to love her back. We were very happy and we'll for sure use her services next time we need it.”

About: My name is Omi, and caring for animals has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My love for pets began in childhood while growing up in Puerto Rico, where I was surrounded by cats, dogs and many other animals. Living with so many different animals taught me from an early age how to understand their unique personalities, care for their needs, and appreciate the unconditional love they give. My very first pet was a Chihuahua with a wonderfully spicy personality who quickly became a cherished member of our family. As I got older, I naturally became the person family, friends, and neighbors trusted to care for their pets whenever they traveled. I regularly looked after my aunt's dog, Rosie, cared for my neighbor's cat, Chloe, spent time with my cousin's Husky, Brooklyn, and cared for my sister's three cats by feeding them and making sure they were happy and comfortable while she was away. I truly believe every pet deserves to feel loved, safe, and cared for just as they would at home. I have a naturally nurturing personality and genuinely enjoy spending quality time with animals, whether that means going on long walks, playing fetch, giving belly rubs, offering plenty of affection, or simply keeping them company. I understand that every pet has its own personality and routine, and I take the time to make them feel comfortable, secure, and loved. Today, I still enjoy caring for animals and currently have a betta fish of my own. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or prefers a quiet cuddle, I will treat them with the same love, patience, and attention I would give my own. I know how much our pets mean to us because they truly are family, and I would be honored to care for yours while you're away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home and spend only a few hours each day on my computer. This gives me plenty of flexibility to provide your pet with the attention, companionship, and care they deserve throughout the day. I have a fully fenced yard where pets can safely play and explore, and there's also a nearby dog park for walks, exercise, and extra enrichment if desired. I make sure every pet receives plenty of love, playtime, affection, and one-on-one attention while respecting their individual personalities and routines. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or prefers a calm, relaxed environment, I'll make them feel safe, comfortable, and right at home. Whether I'm caring for your pet in my home or yours, my goal is to make them feel as comfortable and loved as possible. I carefully follow each pet's normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and any special instructions you provide. I believe consistency helps pets feel secure, so I strive to maintain the routine they're accustomed to. I provide plenty of affection, exercise, mental stimulation, and companionship while ensuring they always have access to fresh water and a clean, safe environment. Communication is also important to me. I'll send regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, healthy, and receiving the same love and attention they would get at home. Every pet is unique, and I treat each one like a member of my own family.
“I felt at ease the first time I met Cherie. My dog, Blaze, was very comfortable with her at the meet and greet. Cherie took good care of him and updated me regularly with photos. I was happy that Blaze had a buddy (Cherie’s dog, Fox) to play with during his stay. I will definitely contact her again the next time I need to board Blaze.”

“Beautiful home & perfect place for my dog! Her doggies kept mine company, and so did her kids. There is so much yard space (5 acres) to run around, and Diannette and her family cared for Buttercup like their own. He seemed very content in photos she sent. Highly recommend.”

“Luna had a great time staying with Jean and Stephanie! Luna has lots of energy and she gets lots of play time here. We felt that our dog was safe and even a little pampered in their cozy home. Thank you!”

“This was my first time using Rover and I had a good experience with Kayla! Not only did she accept my last minute request, she picked up and dropped Lily back off to me, sent updates, and communicated.”

“Our dog, Harper, is very timid around people, but did well in Bill and Krista's welcoming home. They frequently sent updates to assure us she was settling in and we were able to travel with peace of mind knowing Harper was in good hands.”

“Jennifer was amazing! Our puppy had the best time. She has a great setup for dogs and she was very communicative. She gave us updates and sent beautiful pictures the entire time. Will definitely book with her again in the future.”

“Viviana and her husband are great people. They definitely know how to care for animals, very trustworthy people and they send tons of photos and videos which are always a plus! Thank you so much for taking of Kali!”

“Brittany was fantastic for watching both our Luna and Tito while we were gone for a week long trip. She provided plenty of pictures and updates of how they were doing, gave them special attention to make sure they were comfortable, and gave us peace of mind. Luna and Tito were well taken care of and we would highly recommend Brittany for anyone needing dog sitting services. We will definitely be bringing them back to her in the future!”

About: I've grown up with pets around me my entire life. My first pets included a rainforest macaw named Peter, and a Shih Tzu named Bala. Since then we've owed many pets and they all have a special place in our hearts. There is always someone at home, so the dogs are never home alone. They are part of the family when they are in our care. The kids love the company too! I have a fenced in yard and we currently do not have pets as our 15 year old Chihuahua recently passed. Now we get to share memories with all the ones that come stay with us at our home.
“She was so great with Benson, accommodating us very last minute on emergency and taking such great care of him, keeping me updated, giving him lots of love and play time. I so appreciate her and it's a great environment with a big yard and playmates. He had a blast and I'm so happy!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Leesburg
Shayla and her family were great with my boys! She sent pictures, videos, and comments that proved to me that she spent time getting to know them and caring for them. She even sent them home with the cutest treat bags! I appreciate that she had everything packed and together for me when I picked up. I'm usually in a hurry to get home after my trips and not waiting around to gather all their things is an extra nice touch. However, she didn't make me feel rushed and was happy to share about the highlights of their stay.

Maria was amazing with my very energetic dogs! She made me feel completely comfortable leaving them with her for a couple of days. They had plenty of playtime and running around, and she sent lots of pictures and check-ins throughout the day. They came back home happy and well cared for!

We left Chloe and Nugget with Keisha for three days, and once again, she was absolutely amazing. This was our second time trusting her with our little ones, and we couldn’t be happier. She truly goes above and beyond, she even set up a pretend picnic for them and had them paint with their paws, which was the cutest thing ever. Keisha communicates everything clearly and sends a daily update at 6:00 PM. Anytime I reached out, she responded quickly and gave me the reassurance I needed, letting me know they were doing great. Thank you so much, Keisha. Your home is truly a home away from home for our pups. It honestly felt like they were on their own little vacation. We’ll definitely be recommending you to our friends and family!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
