“We had a fantastic experience with Alexus! This was our first time using Rover, and she made the entire process so easy. We probably overwhelmed her with a bunch of information about our dogs, but she handled everything perfectly. We loved receiving pictures of Webster and Charlotte and felt completely at ease knowing they were well-loved. We are very thankful and will definitely be booking with her again in the future. Highly recommend!”

About: Hi my name is Cassandra. I have owned dogs for most of my life so I have a good sense of how to tell what your furry friend wants. Provided hair clips for your little girl and bandanas for the boys. All animals love me so if you have cats or other animals that won't bother me. So please contact me if you are interested. Thank you very much. I am available weekday and nights and weekends for your pet sitter needs. I accept all pups as my own with loving arms. Thank you I have a fenced yard and two playful pups to keep your little one company. I can easily crate if needed. You may also request your pups to be crated.
“Maryjane is by far the best choice we could have made for Loyal. She was a tuff case due to extreme attachment to us during covid. We were worried about leaving for a week on vacation and looked high and low for a doggie lover that would be able to deal with her. We started 3 weeks before our trip and Loyal was stubborn and wishy washy for a couple of weeks but finally with Maryjane’s persistence and patience they had a breakthrough of connection and friendship. Maryjane sent us several pictures and really made us both feel comfortable to enjoy ourselves out of town without worrying about her mental state. We are keeping our normal visits and fully recommend Maryjane. She is truly one of the best! Thank you!”

“The boarding with Gage and Ann was everything I could hope for and more! My recent rescue melted into their loving structure like he had always been family. The regular updates and the prompt communication made it easy to relax and not worry about my pup one bit. My pup isn’t the easiest to manage and Gage was spectacular at recognizing body language cues and helped bring out more confidence in my dog. I will happily rebook any time I need a sitter!”

“We had Bailey stay with Krista over our extended Thanksgiving Break. Krista did an amazing job settling our anxiety and concern with having Bailey receiving care with fur kiddos from other families. Krista integrated her well with the crew, and we received excellent Rover cards regarding Bailey's stay. Bailey made friends, found new toys to love, and discovered a new love of chaise lounge chairs. Krista was an excellent and proactive communicator. I appreciate all of her help working through the logistics of Bailey's stay. We drove an additional 45 min after driving across the country for our holiday to drop off Bailey, and we'd do it again to have her as our sitter for our fur babies. As exuberant and excited as Bailey was when we picked her up, she still ran back to Krista for a final hug and butt scratch on her own before dashing back on the road with us. I think that's Bailey's seal of approval! Thanks Krista!!!!”

“Susan is an amazing care giver!! She goes above and beyond!! She is so loving and caring with my baby Ripley!! Ripley was happy and relaxed staying with Susan Communication was terrific!!! And most of all my little guy trusted Susan!!! Recommend her 150% Won’t ever leave my boy with anyone except Susan!!”

“Beautiful home & perfect place for my dog! Her doggies kept mine company, and so did her kids. There is so much yard space (5 acres) to run around, and Diannette and her family cared for Buttercup like their own. He seemed very content in photos she sent. Highly recommend.”

About: I've been caring for cats and dogs for over 5 years, looking after pets for friends, family and neighbours. As a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Oxford, I'm responsible, detail-oriented and great with routines — your pet's feeding, medication and walk schedule will always be followed precisely. I have my own car, so vet visits or unexpected trips are never a problem. I genuinely love spending time with animals, whether that's long walks, play sessions or quiet cuddles on the sofa. Your pet will get attentive, affectionate care while you're away. I work flexibly from home most of the time, which means your pet will rarely be left alone*!!!!!! The only exception is Monday and Tuesday daytime, when I'm out at the office — outside of those hours, I'm fully available evenings, nights and all weekend for feeding, walks, play and cuddles. This makes me a great fit for boarding, drop-in visits and dog walking throughout the week. I own my home, so there are no landlord restrictions or sudden moves — your pet will stay in a stable, welcoming environment. The apartment is clean, quiet and pet-friendly, with a small private garden where dogs can safely stretch their legs, sniff around and enjoy some outdoor time. Inside, I'll set up a comfortable spot for your pet to relax and settle in. I always make sure doors and gates are secure before letting them out, and I stick closely to any feeding, medication or walking routine you provide. You'll get daily photo and video updates, and I'm always reachable by message if anything comes up.
“Jennifer is an amazing women. She quickly responded back to me. We met the next day for a meet and greet. She was so lovely to speak with. My dogs loved her as well. It was the first time I was leaving my dogs with a stranger. She made me feel that I was leaving my dogs in good hands. She was in contact with me through out her stay. Within minutes of being home I received a phone call of a family emergency. I quickly reached out to Jennifer that I needed her back within a day and she was there for me. I don't know what I would have done without her. She took amazing care of not only my dogs but my home as well. Jennifer is kind, loving, sensitive, attentive, respectful, and professional person. I will definitely be requesting her again. Thank you”

“Tifany is very nice and took good care of our pup, with plenty of pictures and updates. Reese had a blast playing with her dogs, and passed out in the car immediately after pickup from how tuckered out she was! I will definitely be booking again and can highly recommend her.”

“We absolutely love having Andrea watch our Labrador. He doesn’t even look back when it’s time to go to her home. We know he’s well taken care of and we’ll continue to use her.”

“Thank you very much for taking care of my 3 fur babies on such a short notice. I know they can be a handful at times but they came home as happy as when they were dropped off and that means the world to me.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
