About: I've been caring for cats and dogs for over 5 years, looking after pets for friends, family and neighbours. As a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Oxford, I'm responsible, detail-oriented and great with routines — your pet's feeding, medication and walk schedule will always be followed precisely. I have my own car, so vet visits or unexpected trips are never a problem. I genuinely love spending time with animals, whether that's long walks, play sessions or quiet cuddles on the sofa. Your pet will get attentive, affectionate care while you're away. I work flexibly from home most of the time, which means your pet will rarely be left alone*!!!!!! The only exception is Monday and Tuesday daytime, when I'm out at the office — outside of those hours, I'm fully available evenings, nights and all weekend for feeding, walks, play and cuddles. This makes me a great fit for boarding, drop-in visits and dog walking throughout the week. I own my home, so there are no landlord restrictions or sudden moves — your pet will stay in a stable, welcoming environment. The apartment is clean, quiet and pet-friendly, with a small private garden where dogs can safely stretch their legs, sniff around and enjoy some outdoor time. Inside, I'll set up a comfortable spot for your pet to relax and settle in. I always make sure doors and gates are secure before letting them out, and I stick closely to any feeding, medication or walking routine you provide. You'll get daily photo and video updates, and I'm always reachable by message if anything comes up.

“Maryjane is by far the best choice we could have made for Loyal. She was a tuff case due to extreme attachment to us during covid. We were worried about leaving for a week on vacation and looked high and low for a doggie lover that would be able to deal with her. We started 3 weeks before our trip and Loyal was stubborn and wishy washy for a couple of weeks but finally with Maryjane’s persistence and patience they had a breakthrough of connection and friendship. Maryjane sent us several pictures and really made us both feel comfortable to enjoy ourselves out of town without worrying about her mental state. About: I've had pets in my life since I was young. I've taken care of dogs, cats, wolves,snakes and horses. Dogs and cats from youth to end of life care. Animals seem to like and trust me, so much so that my wife calls me the animal whisperer. :) I'm retired and am available every day of the week unless I'm out of town visiting relatives in North Carolina. I do go to the gym several times per week but I'm not gone over an hour each time. I have plenty of places to take pets for walks and there are dog parks close by as well. If your pet requires being crated at night etc that's no problem.

It was the first time I was leaving my dogs with a stranger. She made me feel that I was leaving my dogs in good hands. She was in contact with me through out her stay. Within minutes of being home I received a phone call of a family emergency. I quickly reached out to Jennifer that I needed her back within a day and she was there for me. I don't know what I would have done without her. She took amazing care of not only my dogs but my home as well. Jennifer is kind, loving, sensitive, attentive, respectful, and professional person. Recently rescued 7 newborn kitties from outside, and they now have a forever home with us. Supporting the Akita Rescue Society of Florida, my lifetime passion is rescuing pets, and giving them the love and mattering they so deserve. I have traveled the country with my dogs, from mountains to beaches, and everything in between. If my babies are not welcome, I do not want to go there. Pets are precious gifts, are innocent, and should be cared for with devotion.
