“Taylor was super sweet and kind to my two fubabies and I got regular updates. My babies respond fed better than I thought they would because she was u familiar to them. Very pleased and will look her up to watch them again when I need boarding and care for my animals ☺️”

“Kailyn was awesome! She sent us photos and updates frequently! Our girls loved her! Our standard poodle struggles with separation anxiety and she made her stay extra special and comfortable! Would highly recommend! 10/10”
“Murphy loves coming to stay with Shayla. She eliminates all of our worries about leaving him. Shayla sends pictures and gives our dog love and attention. Would recommend her to everyone.”

“Denny and her husband are so incredibly kind. We could not have been more grateful to have them take care of our two fur babies. We had some last minute changes to our holiday plans and were in need for sitter. Denny and her husband were available - we even hopped on a video call to meet each other beforehand. The one thing I loved the most is that they keep the dog families separated from each other. One of our fur babies has a lot of anxiety with other dogs and this really helped ease our concerns. Scooter and Taz had the family room to themselves. They went on daily walks and we received multiple pictures several times a day to keep us updated. They were also flexible with drop off and pick up. Although we were sad we couldn’t spend Christmas with our fur babies, we were happy they were in good hands! We 100% recommend Denny and her husband and would use them again in a heartbeat!”

“I can’t say enough about Sarah! She was absolutely wonderful. I had to extend several times and she was so accommodating. Thank you Sarah for taking care of my boys! You are the best!”

“As always Katie took great care of our dogs while we were away on a cruise. I especially loved that she sent us photos and even dressed them in cute Christmas outfits which made our hearts so happy. It was hard being away from them over Cbristmas but much easier knowing they were in great hands.”

“June was so wonderful! She treated Wilson like he was her own. She sent updates and pictures each day and we were so very grateful to have found her! We will certainly contact her again when we need someone to keep Wilson in The Villages.”

“Lovely family! My pup had an amazing time there, Maria was excellent on communication and sent pics my dog while I was away. I couldn’t be happier and am excited to have found Maria and her family. Thank you so much, we will be back!”
“Nola B. took excellent care of my dogs. Hiawatha & Ziva had big smiles every day. I know because she sent pictures! I did not worry about them while I was on vacation.”

“Katherine was an excellent sitter for my two dogs. She kept me up to date throughout the day and shared pictures and videos of my girls. She took care of my girls as if they were her own - spoiled and pampered. Katherine was great and I highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs! I'll definitely call on Katherine again in the future to take care of my girls.”

“Left my pups with Lorraine for 12 days and they were very well cared for. They came home happy and tired! Lorraine sent pics and videos daily (usually several times a day). I highly recommend Lorraine and we will definitely be back!”

About: I've had dogs my whole life, worked as a bather at a grooming solon & worked at 2 different dog boarding kennels. I've also pet sat before for neighbors & friends. I'm also very comfterable around dogs & cats. I'm a stay at home mom, so I have plenty of time to give your pet lots of love, care & cuddles that they deserve! I have 1 dog that NEVER interacts with pets that stay in my home. When the guest pet is to be let out/ played with my dog is crested behind a closed door & vise versa. The safety of all pets is my top priority!
About: I’ve been caring for animals for over 15 years. I speak fluent Spanish! I’ve raised my dog Zoso since I was 14 when she was a puppy, she recently passed away at 17 years old so having other dogs around makes me so happy. I also have two cats who are young, orange, and friendly, and I own horses, so I’m experienced with pets of all sizes and personalities. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, and care for their pets, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. I am an expert on giving medication too from having a senior dog for many years! What sets me apart is my reliability, genuine love for animals, and the peace of mind I give owners knowing their pets are safe, comfy and happy. I spend most of the time at home working remotely so they will get all my attention! I currently work part-time from home, which gives me plenty of time and flexibility to care for pets during the week and weekends. I’m available for walks, drop ins, and boarding. I love spending time playing with animals, giving them attention, and making sure they feel comfortable while their owners are away. I provide a safe and comfortable environment where pets are treated like my own. I have a private yard linked to trails that I walk daily, and I’d love to bring your dog along for exercise and fresh air. Most importantly, I always follow the owner’s instructions closely to make sure every pet feels secure, comfortable with routine, and well cared for!
“Was very attentive to my dogs and their needs. Communicated frequently and put my nerves at ease. This was our first experience with Rover and was very thankful Samantha could take us last minute.”

“Jackie and her family were amazing sitters for our dog LuLu, Jackie kept me well informed of how LuLu was doing and they treated her like she was their own. They have a beautiful setting and have really thought of everything and clearly very experienced in being able to care well for your dog. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
