“Diana was amazing! She accommodated a last minute request and took great care of our pug, Casey. Casey is an older girl who needs lots of snuggles and love. We had to extend the trip out a day and Diana helped with getting more food. Her communication was great! Highly recommend!”

“Clara had a great time with Peggy. She is a high energy dog and needs a place that is understanding of this and has a facility that is stimulating. Communication was top notch throughout the registration process (meet & greet, pre-boarding info, boarding time and post boarding).Peggy has a real interest and competency in dealing with animals. Clara came home safe, tired and well cared for, which is exactly why we booked with Peggy, I look forward to our next visit. I highly recommend her.”

“Heidi was amazing with my senior chihuahua yoyo. She responded promptly and sent photo updates daily. Would HIGHLY recommend Heidi and will definitely be booking with her again if needing a pet sitter in the future.”

“Laquita & James where so helpful and friendly. They gave me constant updates (with pics) of how my dog Millie was while I was gone. They genuinely care and it shows. Millie will be back next time we need a sitter for sure!”

“Linda was the best sitter I’ve ever had. She boarded my dog Kaedy for 3 nights and sent me a lots of pictures which made me feel like all was good . Kaedy was leary at first because it had been awhile since she was boarded but Linda knew how to put her at ease. She trained my dog not to jump on her bed and she wouldn’t when she got home, which I was grateful for. And I like how she only watches one dog at a time so she gives them her full attention. I highly recommend her.”

“She is awesome!! I love the way she is with the puppies.( i call all dogs puppies). We rescued a 9 year old and she was wonderful with him. I can’t thank her enough!!!! I was not worried about him. She sends pictures and videos everyday!!”

About: What sets me apart is my lifelong experience caring for both dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, and personalities. I was raised with pets and have hands-on experience caring for dogs ranging from Boxers and German Shepherds to Terrier mixes. I understand that every pet has unique needs, energy levels, and routines, and I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I have also completed a Leash Reactive Dog Course Certification, which has given me valuable training in understanding and safely handling dogs that may be reactive, anxious, or overstimulated on walks. This helps me provide calm, confident care while prioritizing your dog's safety and comfort. In addition, I have experience caring for cats of many breeds, including Siamese, Himalayan, Maine Coon, and both long-haired and short-haired domestic cats. I've cared for cats from playful kittens to senior companions, giving me experience with age specific needs and senior care. Whether your pet is young, energetic, shy, reactive, or in their golden years, I provide dependable, attentive care and treat every pet as if they were my own family. I currently work from home while my husband grows our family inspection business, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time for walks, playtime, enrichment activities, and lots of belly rubs. Animals have always been a big part of my life. Recently, I lost my beloved cat after 17 wonderful years. While we're not quite ready to welcome another permanent pet into our family, the universe seemed to have other plans. A wounded stray cat found her way into our driveway and into our hearts. We took her in, got her the care she needed, and are now helping her heal and thrive. Caring for animals brings me so much joy, and I'd love the opportunity to provide the same love, attention, and dependable care to your pets while you're away. I provide a calm, low-stress home environment where pets receive plenty of individualized attention. Because I work from home, I'm able to give pets lots of supervision, companionship, and engagement throughout the day. Whether your pet prefers relaxing in a quiet setting or needs extra playtime and exercise, I tailor my care to their unique personality and routine to help them feel safe, comfortable, and right at home.
“Dennis was an amazing choice to watch my 4 month old puppy. He was able to keep him busy through walks and play, as well as love through lots of cuddles. He provided me plenty of photos and periodic updates about the pup. Can’t recommend him more! We will definitely make sure to bring Ace back to Dennis the next time he needs to be watched.”

Peggy took wonderful care of our Rottweiler and treated him like her own. We received daily updates along with pictures and videos. Peggy is very professional and a great communicator. We highly recommend her and will definitely use her services again for our next vacation.

After investigating a number of overnight options for our sweet Standard Schnauzer, we were delighted to find Sarah! At the initial meeting, it was evident Sarah would be able to offer Eli a safe and secure home away from home while still keeping him active and healthy. We have received daily updates and feel comfortable that our pup is having a wonderful time at his sleep away camp! Thank you Sarah! Garrett & Mary

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
