“Lori was excellent with our two senior cats. We have very detailed and specific instructions as they are senior cats (16 and 18) with multiple health issues. Lori did amazing getting them both to take their medications and eat their food. It’s a challenge with senior cats. We were able to relax on our time away knowing they were receiving the best care. We truly appreciated the detailed updates and pictures with every visit. We have three additional visits already booked due to the quality of service we received.”

“Sabrina took such good care of my dog Lucy. Usually she has a lot of anxiety when I’m gone but not this time time! I received check in photos and reports regularly and the extra photos and texts helped put my mind at ease. An e tra bonus was how clean and tidy everything looked upon my return. Won’t hesitate to use Sabrina again.”

“We had Berkley drop in on our cat each day while we were on vacation. She was excellent in all aspects. Communication with us, punctual, playing with the cat, cleaning the litter box... I would not look anywhere else, will hire her again.”

“I cannot recommend Jessica highly enough! She took such wonderful care of my Betty Boop, stopping by three times on Wednesday to let her out in the yard and spend quality time with her. This is our second Betty watch. Jessica is incredibly responsive, answering questions quickly, sending updates and photos throughout the day, and putting my mind completely at ease while I was away. Which helps a tremendously as Betty and I don't often spend time apart, ha! Her availability has been a lifesaver. You can tell she truly loves what she does, and even more importantly, she truly loves the animals she cares for. Betty Boop came running to greet me, happy and content, clearly having enjoyed all the attention and yard time. Reliable, kind, communicative, and so much more, she's the real deal. If you're looking for someone you can trust with your furry family member, look no further!”

“Carol was so wonderful to work with and amazing with my sweet Bodhi! She updated me on her check ins and sent pictures and videos. I would highly recommend her to take care of your fur babies. She loves them like her own and makes sure they have everything they need!”

“Teri was terrific with our little man. We are visiting Florida so was unsure how it would work in our rental but it was great! She even gave him a new toy! Will definitely request her again when we need good care for Deuce.”

About: I offer loving, reliable pet care in a calm and relaxed environment. I specialize in well-behaved pets and focus on making them feel safe, comfortable and at home. I’ve cared for both cats and dogs over the years and truly treat them as part of the family. We had beloved dogs growing up, and I’ve also had cats—including a rescue cat which we loved very much. I'm naturally attentive to each pet's behavior, routine, and comfort. I take the time to understand their personality, so they feel calm and secure while you're away. I'm also friendly, respectful, clean and easy to communicate with. I want you to feel completely at ease knowing your pet is in caring and responsible hands. I work from home, so I’m available throughout the day to give your pet plenty of attention, care, and companionship. I have a flexible schedule and can adjust my day to meet your pet’s needs. I provide a calm, safe, and attentive environment for pets in my care. Since I work from home, pets are rarely left alone and receive consistent supervision throughout the day. While I don’t have a fenced yard, I take pets out on leashed walks and supervised potty breaks to ensure their safety at all times. I also have a spacious outdoor patio area for fresh air and short breaks. Inside, I maintain a clean, comfortable space where pets can relax and feel at ease. I follow each pet’s routine closely and make sure they receive the attention, care, and affection they’re used to. In a client’s home, I respect their space and instructions, keeping their pet’s routine consistent and stress-free.
“Thank God for Melissa… She took excellent care of my Kitties even though they are scared of strangers. I was out of the country during the cold snap and she walked into a very cold house, but got my thermostat working so it stayed at 70°… not in the 40”s she walked into and let me know what was going on every day she came. Everything was clean and taken care of. I will definitely call her again when I am traveling.”

“Joanna took great care of our cat, Henry, while we were away. She was reliable, caring, and even came on extra days to see him. It gave us great peace of mind knowing Henry was well taken care of. We came home to a happy, healthy cat, and we couldn't have asked for a better pet sitter. I would definitely recommend Joanna to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and compassionate to care for their pets!”

About: I love animals and have always been the neighborhood dog walker since I was young, I now live in the Villages and have two dogs. I love taking them to the local dog park and would happy to bring some of that love I have for them into your pets lives! A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
