About: Hello everyone! I am Cortenay, and from the age of 10 I have been caring passionately for animals. I have always felt that I have a special connection with them and understand them. Finally in my early twenties I began caring for them professionally at Mulberry Grove animal hospital. I started in the hospitals boarding wing where I provided personal around the clock care to all of the beautiful fur babies that came to stay. I fell in love with this being that caring for pets has always been my first love. My final chapter in the veterinary field was when I was promoted to a veterinary technician, where I administered medication and cared for special needs pets as well. I have experience with special needs and giving medications as well. I work currently at a vet office as a veterinary technician full time . About: I have taken care of dogs since I was a little kid. My godmother used to own five dogs and seven cats back in Brazil. Every time that I would come over to her place I would love to take care of her pets. The best memories I have are from feeding, playing, and having sleepovers with these animals every night. After my godmother passed away, I adopted one of her dogs named Liza. I brought Liza here to the United States with my family and she lived an eighteen year long and happy life! Towards the end of her life, she had vestibular disease. I made sure we were on top of all vet visits, meds and rehab care. About: I’ve spent several years providing exercise and enrichment for my friends and roommates pets, going on walks and watching them during their owners vacations. Over the last 10 years my partner, I’ve adopted her dog Kiwi, Goldendoodle now 15yr old, and our second dog in covid together with Mr.Kangaroo, mixed small breed now 6yr old. We now still help both our friends and families with dog walks, daycares, or longer stays. Im currently working part-time, so I will have plenty of time at home to play with your pups! I’m available for boardings on weekends, and weekdays for daycare. I have a flexible schedule for early or late availability can be arranged with some early notice. Our home has a fenced in yard with dog door access and plenty of yard space for exercises/play with our two dogs to keep your pups company and provide some encouraging energy. We have a pool for swimming and walking paths/parks near my home for short or long walks. If needed we can easily provide separation within our home for privacy or anxiety with crates and dog fences.
