About: What Pet Parents Can Expect Hi there! I’m a lifelong animal lover with over 35 years of experience caring for pets of all kind, from pampered pups to quirky cats, bunnies, and everything in between. When your pet is with me, they’re not just getting care, they’re getting love, snuggles, playtime, and plenty of one-on-one attention. I specialize in senior pets, special needs animals, and those who just need a little extra TLC. Whether your fur baby is shy, spunky, or somewhere in between, I take the time to understand their unique personality and needs. You can expect: Regular updates with cute photos and notes A calm, nurturing environment A clean, safe space for play and rest Patience, reliability, and tons of love Experience with administering meds and handling special diets Think of me as your pet’s favorite extended family member, the one they’re always excited to see! Hope to meet your dog(s), cat(s), horse(s), etc soon! :) Pet care isn’t just part of my day. It is my day. From sunrise snuggles to sunset strolls, my entire routine revolves around the animals I care for. Whether I’m feeding breakfast to a sleepy pup, giving midday meds to a senior cat, or ending the evening with playtime and cuddles, every moment is planned with pets in mind. Caring for animals has been my lifelong passion, and I’ve built a lifestyle around making sure every pet in my care feels safe, loved, and understood. I’m always home or nearby, so your pet will never feel alone or neglected. This isn’t just a job to me. It’s who I am. When your pet stays with me, they become part of my heart and my home. The care I provide is 100% customized to whatever that pet's parents do as a routine with them. My goal is to make their stay with me as close to what they are used to as possible.

About: I love animals and have always been the neighborhood dog walker since I was young, I now live in the Villages and have two dogs. I love taking them to the local dog park and would happy to bring some of that love I have for them into your pets lives! I am very flexible with my hours and am willing to drive to your house to walk or watch your pet. I require at least a one day notice. My biggest accomplishment for house/dog sitting would be for your dog to feel as comfortable as possible in your home while you are out of town!

About: I’ve been caring for animals for over 15 years. I speak fluent Spanish! I’ve raised my dog Zoso since I was 14 when she was a puppy, she recently passed away at 17 years old so having other dogs around makes me so happy. I also have two cats who are young, orange, and friendly, and I own horses, so I’m experienced with pets of all sizes and personalities. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, and care for their pets, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. I am an expert on giving medication too from having a senior dog for many years! What sets me apart is my reliability, genuine love for animals, and the peace of mind I give owners knowing their pets are safe, comfy and happy. I spend most of the time at home working remotely so they will get all my attention! I currently work part-time from home, which gives me plenty of time and flexibility to care for pets during the week and weekends. I’m available for walks, drop ins, and boarding. I love spending time playing with animals, giving them attention, and making sure they feel comfortable while their owners are away. I provide a safe and comfortable environment where pets are treated like my own. I have a private yard linked to trails that I walk daily, and I’d love to bring your dog along for exercise and fresh air. Most importantly, I always follow the owner’s instructions closely to make sure every pet feels secure, comfortable with routine, and well cared for!

Kayla is just the sweetest! My family and I moved here from Baton Rouge, LA only three days before needing an unexpected sitter for our sweet, elder beagle Otis. Kayla came to our home for our in-person meeting and we (& Otis) felt comfortable immediately. She cared for Otis 3 days in a row, and left us detailed notes and the cutest photos/videos every time. We will definitely schedule her again!

About: Dogs have been part of our lives for as long as we can remember. Gage was raised around dogs from a young age, his dad bred bullies, so he grew up learning canine behavior, body language, and daily care firsthand. After getting married, we added four dogs of our own, which deepened our passion for training, boarding, and understanding how dogs learn best. We have experience with dogs of all sizes and ages, including a Bull Mastiff, Pit/Lab mix, Rottweiler/Boxer mix, Great Dane, and a Boxer. Large breeds, high-energy dogs, puppies learning structure, and gentle seniors all receive care tailored to their specific needs. We understand that young dogs need consistency and patience, while senior dogs often need a slower pace and extra attentiveness. What truly sets us apart is that we intentionally keep things small and personal. We board a maximum of two dogs at a time (one family at a time), ensuring individualized attention, proper supervision, and a calm environment - never overcrowded, rushed, or chaotic. Cleanliness and safety are top priorities in our home. After each stay, we fully sanitize spaces, wash bedding, disinfect crates and play areas, and properly dispose of waste to maintain a clean, healthy environment for every dog. We also believe communication matters. Regular updates, photos, and check-ins are sent so you can relax knowing your dog is safe, cared for, and genuinely loved while you’re away. We own a small business offering guided boat tours, fishing trips, and jet ski rentals, which gives us a highly flexible schedule. Because we control our calendar, we only accept pet care bookings when we are fully available to dedicate our time and attention to your dog. Since we both work from home, your pup will not be left alone for extended periods. Pet care naturally fits into our daily routine, with built-in time for morning and evening walks, play sessions, feeding schedules, and plenty of supervision throughout the day. Our days are structured around consistency and companionship. Whether your dog thrives on activity and engagement or prefers a quieter, relaxed environment, we’re able to provide steady attention, a calm atmosphere, and dependable care from start to finish. Our home is a quiet, structured, and comfortable environment designed to feel like home, never like a kennel. As mentioned above, we intentionally care for only 1–2 dogs at a time (1 pet family at a time), which allows us to provide focused supervision, individualized attention, and a low-stress setting. Dogs enjoy supervised playtime, regular outdoor breaks, consistent feeding schedules, and plenty of downtime to rest and decompress. We pay close attention to each dog’s personality and energy level, adjusting care to ensure they feel secure and comfortable throughout their stay. Crates are never required unless your dog prefers the familiarity of one. We also have a dedicated spare bedroom where one of us can sleep with your dog, so they don’t have to sleep alone or feel isolated. Maintaining routine, safety, cleanliness, and emotional comfort are always our top priorities. Whether in our home or during drop-in visits at yours, we follow your established routines closely - including feeding schedules, medications, exercise needs, and any specific instructions - so your dog experiences as little disruption as possible. Every dog in our care is treated with the same patience, structure, and affection we give our own.

About: I love dogs. Friends call me the whisperer. I lost my Princess 2 years ago to cancer and I find that this is the best medicine for me. I love to travel so having another baby right now is not in the cards. Taking care of your baby is the next best thing. I have had people fly me out to Portland, California, and New York to pet sit for them. I absolutley love it. Some of the dogs I have cared for were sick or new family members. I love to take them on new adventures but only if Mom and Dad are okay with it. I also love to train, play, and hug on them. My only job is taking care of your dog, so I am with them the entire day and night. Sometimes they will go on a golf cart ride with me. My yard is not fenced in so your dog would be walked regularly. There are plenty of grassy areas next to and accross the street from me. If there is a schedule you have for the dog that is what will be followed.

I can’t say enough good things about Mahaila. From our very first meet and greet, it was clear how much she genuinely loves animals—my girls warmed up to her right away, which never happens! She was attentive, patient, and incredibly thoughtful every step of the way. While I was away, she kept in consistent contact, sending updates and the cutest pictures—my dogs looked so happy and relaxed, which gave me such peace of mind. It’s hard to trust someone else with your pets, but Mahaila made it easy. I’ve never felt more confident leaving them in someone else’s care. She’s officially our go-to now, and I’m so grateful we found her!

About: I’ve worked with animals since I was 16 years old, and have extensive experience as both a veterinarian technician and kennel technician. Because of my skills attained through working with many different animals I am able to provide care for dogs of many different needs. I can administer medication, work with dogs with disabilities, and provide abundant care for dogs of all ages and breeds. Please consider me when looking for someone to take care of your babies while you’re away! I currently work full time as a Radiation Therapist in The Villages, FL and my work days are typically 8-5:30 Monday-Friday. Because of this I have listed my availability as the weekends so that I can provide ample time to spend with your fur babies. However, I am available for dog walking anytime after 6 in the evening during work days as well if you work the night shift, or may get home late. I generally never travel for holidays, so keep me in mind when the time comes for that as well please! I have two pups-6 and 11 year old pit bulls that LOVE to play with other dogs. They both go to daycare every week and would love to meet your pups if that is something you would be comfortable with as well. If not, no worries, I understand!

About: As a devoted dog mom, I understand that pets are family. Caring for Molly and Thor every day has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and creating a safe, loving environment where every dog feels comfortable. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and needs so they receive personalized care. Whether your dog loves to play, go for walks, or simply relax, I’ll make sure they feel happy, secure, and loved while you’re away. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can have peace of mind knowing your best friend is in caring hands. I work from home most of the time, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. Caring for dogs is already part of my daily routine, so your pet will receive regular potty breaks, playtime, walks, meals on schedule, and lots of love. I keep pet parents updated with photos and messages so they always know how their furry family member is doing. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I have a fully fenced yard where dogs can safely play under supervision. When a new dog arrives, I keep them separated from my own dogs at first so everyone has time to adjust comfortably. If all dogs are relaxed and interactions go well, I gradually introduce them in a safe, supervised way. If a dog prefers their own space, I’m happy to keep them separated throughout their stay. My home is clean, calm, and pet-friendly, and every dog is treated with patience, kindness, and love like family.

About: Over the past two years, I've had the joy of caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages. From an energetic 8-month-old Staffy puppy I cared for over 6 weeks to sweet senior dogs who need gentle, patient love, I tailor my care to each dog's unique personality and needs. I've worked with a variety of breeds including Great Danes, Border Collies, terriers, and rescue dogs. Whether your pup needs high-energy playtime, calm companionship, or specialized attention, I'm here to make sure they feel safe, loved, and happy while you're away Over the past two years, I've had the joy of caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages. From an energetic 8-month-old Staffy puppy I cared for over 6 weeks to sweet senior dogs who need gentle, patient love, I've worked with Great Danes, Border Collies, terriers, rescues, and more. I love going on walks while listening to music or audiobooks, so adding a friendly dog companion is never a hassle! Whether your pup wants to stop and smell every smell or needs a brisk walk to burn off energy, I'm happy to match their pace. I'm also available for drop-in visits to check on your pet, let them out in the backyard, or provide midday company. For cat parents: I understand that cats need patience and respect. I've cared for both indoor and outdoor cats, including seniors requiring medication like steroid treatments every other day. I always let cats come to me on their own time—no forced cuddles, just calm, reliable care. Unfortunately, I'm not offering boarding at my home right now, but I'm happy to provide walking, drop-in visits, and pet sitting at your place! Since I'm currently offering drop-in visits, dog walking, and house sitting at the client's home, I focus on making your pet feel comfortable and keeping their normal routine. For dogs: I follow your feeding schedule, take them on walks that match their energy level (whether that's a leisurely sniff-filled stroll or a brisk energy-burner), and provide plenty of playtime and attention. I'm happy to let them out in the backyard for potty breaks and will stick to any special instructions you have. For cats: I respect their independence and let them approach me on their own timeline. I'll handle feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, and medication if needed. I'm experienced giving treatments like steroids to senior cats. General care: I'll send you photos and updates so you know your pet is doing well. I can also bring in mail, water plants, or adjust blinds to keep your home looking lived-in while you're away. My goal is to provide stress-free care so your pet stays happy and comfortable in their own environment, and you can enjoy your time away with peace of mind.

About: I've had dogs for over 60 years. All my dogs have lived long and happy lives. Animals are the best creation by God! I have a heart for all animals but I truly love dogs. I want to help others by being the best caregiver out there to leave their fur babies with. I'm picky and understand the need of someone you can trust while you are away. Boarding in a kennel is not an option for me and I understand safety is paramount along with quality care. I have a Shit-zu and a Chihuahua whom both are my life and my husband always says: If he was a to come back in another life as a dog, he wants to come to my house! A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Ocklawaha with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
