“Lila took such great care of Haze over the weekend while I was away for my daughter’s birthday. She was incredibly accommodating, communicative, and made me feel completely comfortable leaving my dog with her. It gave me real peace of mind knowing Haze was in such good hands. I would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for reliable and caring pet care!”

“Very caring and loving sitter. The dogs were really well kept. She was extremely patient and went above and beyond with my geriatric dog, which was greatly appreciated.”

“Maxine is an excellent dog sitter. She takes such good care of my yorkiepoo every time; he loves to stay with her. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful, reliable, and caring sitter.”

“My dog (Marty) stayed with Marcela and her family from January 1st to January 5th. This was our first time using DogVacay and we were nervous to say the least. Marcela was very responsive each time we emailed to check in on Marty... she even sent me pictures which really helped put us at ease. We would recommend Marcela, especially given her responsiveness. Marty came home happy.”
“We were so happy with Charles, he took wonderful care of our Dog. He kept us updated and sent pictures. Whenever we need to leave our dog behind in the future we will definitely be using Charles again!”

“It was an absolute PLEASURE booking with Allen! I was able to visit ahead of time and was shown where my cats would be during their stay, and I truly appreciate that as someone who is a nervous Nelly! The catio was a fun change for my babies and one didn’t even want to come down when we showed up to pick them up! Allen sent me photos to show me how they were doing and kept me updated which I appreciate! It truly was an easy process and I never felt like my babies weren’t cared for! I would happily book again if needed!”

“Cyndi was wonderful with my lab Coco. I was very nervous because Coco is only 6 months old and has never stayed with anyone else. Plus she's spoiled to death. She absolutely loved being with Cyndi. I wouldn't leave Coco with anyone else. Thank you Cyndi for making me feel comfortable too and allowing me to enjoy my vacation with no worries.”

“She was great with my pup! He's older and special needs and she took the time to learn how to care for him. Not a lot of people will, so it meant a lot to me. Definitely, definitely recommend her to watch your fur babies!”

Thank you very much. I am available weekday and nights and weekends for your pet sitter needs. I accept all pups as my own with loving arms. Thank you I have a fenced yard and two playful pups to keep your little one company. I can easily crate if needed. You may also request your pups to be crated.
“I couldn’t be more grateful for the care my dog Blue received! He stayed for a full week and had the best time, he got to play with other dogs, and it was clear he was having so much fun. I got daily updates (which I really appreciated!) and could tell he was in such good hands the whole time. She truly treated him like her own, and I’ll absolutely be booking with her again. Highly recommend!”

“What a terrific person Rebecca is! She's very easy to talk with, understands my pups needs and quirks, and...she sent me pictures of my boy every day! This was my first time using Rebecca. I went on a cruise, so you could imagine that I'd be a bit nervous. But Rebecca put me at ease on day one and every day going forward! I didn't worry at all!! He got lots of attention and love! Great job Rebecca! And your wonderful family, too!”

“We are retired so we travel a lot. We have never boarded our dogs with a more competent dog sitter. Our dogs actually leep out of the car to get to her when we drive in the driveway. Our dogs are English Bulldog Champions and one is intact, but Peggy manages his care profesionally--even on Thanksgiving day. As a vet technician she was also able to administer medication to our older dog. She lives on a farm so there is a lot of area for dogs to run off leash. They don't sleep in a kennel building, they sleep in her house! She is a lovely person with a good heart.”

“Carolina was absolutely amazing!!! Zoe just loved her family and her pups!! Our Zoe is just a puppy and came home learning how to sit and is already so much more obedient. We will definitely be using her again in the near future!! Thank you so much Carolina for loving on our pup and making her feel at home!!!”

“Thanks, Dennis for taking care of Princess. She really enjoyed staying with you while I was away. I highly recommend Dennis, he sent pictures, was attentive, and was flexible when I needed to pick Princess up.”

“I really appreciate the care that Tiffany gave my dog, he's a senior (an 11-year-old Doberman Pinscher) with some issues and she took extra time and care with him. I picked her since she also has a Dobe, Maverick, who was gentle with him. I will definitely be using her services again.”

“I am the pup mom for 2 years now. Apart from the vets Office, my doggies have only stated with me and now Brianna. This is their 3 visit and it feels like I am dropping off at their sisters. They are excited to be there and I am excited they are happy.. Best sitter ever!”

I think is Alexa's fifth stay with Sandra, Alexa always gets good care, and Sandra is flexible to meet our schedule. Her place is very close to home so it's convenient to pick Alexa up on the way home after a trip, this time was a 2-night visit. I never have to worry while I'm away.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
