About: What sets me apart is my lifelong experience caring for both dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, and personalities. I was raised with pets and have hands-on experience caring for dogs ranging from Boxers and German Shepherds to Terrier mixes. I understand that every pet has unique needs, energy levels, and routines, and I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I have also completed a Leash Reactive Dog Course Certification, which has given me valuable training in understanding and safely handling dogs that may be reactive, anxious, or overstimulated on walks. This helps me provide calm, confident care while prioritizing your dog's safety and comfort. In addition, I have experience caring for cats of many breeds, including Siamese, Himalayan, Maine Coon, and both long-haired and short-haired domestic cats. I've cared for cats from playful kittens to senior companions, giving me experience with age specific needs and senior care. Whether your pet is young, energetic, shy, reactive, or in their golden years, I provide dependable, attentive care and treat every pet as if they were my own family. I currently work from home while my husband grows our family inspection business, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time for walks, playtime, enrichment activities, and lots of belly rubs. Animals have always been a big part of my life. Recently, I lost my beloved cat after 17 wonderful years. While we're not quite ready to welcome another permanent pet into our family, the universe seemed to have other plans. A wounded stray cat found her way into our driveway and into our hearts. We took her in, got her the care she needed, and are now helping her heal and thrive. Caring for animals brings me so much joy, and I'd love the opportunity to provide the same love, attention, and dependable care to your pets while you're away. I provide a calm, low-stress home environment where pets receive plenty of individualized attention. Because I work from home, I'm able to give pets lots of supervision, companionship, and engagement throughout the day. Whether your pet prefers relaxing in a quiet setting or needs extra playtime and exercise, I tailor my care to their unique personality and routine to help them feel safe, comfortable, and right at home.
“100% happy with Taylor and how she cared for our Pepper who needed diabetic care while she was in Taylor's care. Taylor followed all the instructions and had no issues with the infections and the glucose readings. Taylor was quick to respond to my questions and she sent several pictures during the stay. If I have to travel again, Pepper will certainly stay with Taylor again.”

“As always Linda took excellent care of my Dolly. Both Linda and her husband are genuinely caring animal lovers and it shows in how much my g German Shepherd loves them! GSD's are very protective and close with their owners and it is a comfort knowing she is in good hands and content in their care. I love all the photos Linda sends me of Dolly's stay with her, especially the ones where she's giving them kisses! Thank you Linda for everything! You are the best!”

“If you are looking for a sitter for your pet, Debra is the one. Debra has been Loly's petsitter for the past 2 years, and has been in Debra's care about 9 times, 100% recommended, thank you Debra!”

“My puppy was so happy and calm when I picked her up after 10 days with Rubén and Brenda Lee. She played with their dog and family. She said goodbye to the children before going to the door with me. She was well cared for and got lots of attention and exercise.”

“Ashley was amazing! She took such great care of my dog and I had no worries while I was gone. She sent me photos and kept me updated on her which I greatly appreciated. She was very attentive to her needs and I will definitely be using her again!”

“Hugh watched my little lotus for two nights and made me feel completely at ease about leaving him for the first time. Very thankful for Hughs love of dogs and opening his home. I will definitely be bringing Lotus back!”

“Nola & Rick did a good job looking after Zach and Riley. Both seemed happy and well taken care of during our absence. We especially liked the daily updates with photos of Zach and Riley.”

About: I have adored dogs since I was a little girl and truly believe they have the purest hearts of any creature on earth. Growing up, I was surrounded by four dogs of all different sizes, which taught me early on how to care for a pack and appreciate every unique personality. I don't discriminate when it comes to breeds. To me, a dog's genuine, nonjudgmental, and loving nature is what matters most. My empathy for animals runs deep, and my goal is to give every pup the love they deserve. I currently have a sweet Corgi (a wonderful gift from my daughter!), but my heart has always been dedicated to shelter pups and making sure every dog feels safe and understood. I bring endless patience, empathy, and a lifetime of hands on experience to every dog I welcome into my home. Because I am fully retired, my schedule is completely open and dedicated to what truly makes me happy: spending my days with dogs! Pet care isn't just something I fit into my day; it is my day. Your pet will rarely be left alone. Whether it's morning cuddles, afternoon play sessions in the background, keeping me company while I cook, or just relaxing together in our home, I am home full-time to provide constant companionship, supervision, and all the undivided attention they could ever want. I’ve set up my home to be as safe and comfortable for dogs as possible. We have a large, fully fenced backyard where they can run, play, and enjoy the sunshine. Inside, it’s cozy, completely dog friendly, and a child free environment. I really just want your dog to feel like they are relaxing in their own home. Your pup will also have my friendly resident Corgi to keep them company. To make sure the dogs don't overheat during the hot afternoons, my husband and I take them out for walks in the evening once it has cooled down. We live right next to a trailhead that is perfect for these evening strolls. I am always patient with new arrivals and will pay close attention to their behavior, adapting to whatever they need so they feel secure, relaxed, and loved the moment they arrive.

“Kim has a way with animals that puts them at ease. She was great with Sadie who can be standoffish and nervous with new people. Drop off and pick up were very easy. She was so kind to accept my last minute booking when another sitter had to cancel. Will definitely rebook with her in the future.”

“10/10 Highly recommend Faniza for your dog sitting needs. You can tell she genuinely cares about animals and was excited to watch my dog. She sent photos and updates the whole time. Will book again!”

“If I could give Shweta 10 stars, I would! I am a new dog mom and have had my rescue Lab/Pyrenees mix for around a month. I had to leave for around 8 days for a trip and this was my first time using Rover. I was very nervous to leave her so soon and with a complete stranger, but Shweta made all of those worries disappear! We did a meet and greet prior to the trip and I could tell that she was a very good person and passionate about animals. She was extremely communicative the entire time, before and during the trip. She kept me consistently updated on how Dixie was doing with pictures. And because of her years of experience training therapy dogs, she even helped train Dixie with a few behaviors while I was gone! Her kindness, understanding of me being a new dog mom and her valuable experience with training dogs really stood out to me and made my first Rover experience extremely positive. I highly recommend Shweta for any of your doggy related needs :)”

“As always she treats them like family. Shes amazing and they love her. They cant wait to see her. She is great about sending pictures and updates. Great communication and excellent all the way around”

Andi takes such great care of Macy. Macy is always so happy to see her, and she spends plenty of time with her, which gives me a lot of peace of mind. Macy is on regularly scheduled medications, and she’s very attentive about giving them on time. Macy is also a sensitive dog, and she does a wonderful job making her feel comfortable and cared for. She also sends regular photos and updates, which I really appreciate.

Jada is AWESOME, like I have been with rover.com for over 5 years now and had many sitters for my fur baby and they were great. But Jada, was outstanding not 10 minutes of my pup being in her care a started receiving pictures and videos and throughout the entire stay. Her son and her are very welcoming and she has a great dog too. Jada, was a last minute booking and she exceeded my expectations of a fur baby sitter. She’s very friendly, respectful, understanding and has a loving personality great energy and very social almost like I met a friend. Jada comes highly recommended. I will definitely use her again only sitter for my pup.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
