“Laura is terrific and I highly recommend her! She treats my dogs like they are one of her own. She sends pics, videos and updates to let you know how your dogs are doing and what they are up to, so you are reassured that your pups are doing well and having fun! It is nice to be away and know your fur babies are in great hands. :)”

“Exceptional!! They took such wonderful care of our fur baby while we were out of town. We always get a little nervous leaving Winnie, but Linda and her husband made us feel at ease. They sent so many pictures and updates throughout Winnie's stay. We will definitely book with Linda again!”

“We are here from out of town. We rarely leave our fur babies so we were looking for the best care for them. I found NOLA and her reviews were really good. We left them with her for 4 days and they did fine. Loved getting updates and pictures of them. Very pleased with the care they received from Nola and Rick. Would definitely recommend them. We are using them again for 2 weeks.”

“This is our first time with Sandra. We are extremely happy with her level of care and affection for Coco. She sent great pictures and admitted that Coco slept with Sandra…which we know Coco relished. We definitely recommend Sandra and we will have other opportunities for Coco to enjoy Sandra and her two dogs.”

About: I’ve been caring for animals for over 15 years. I speak fluent Spanish! I’ve raised my dog Zoso since I was 14 when she was a puppy, she recently passed away at 17 years old so having other dogs around makes me so happy. I also have two cats who are young, orange, and friendly, and I own horses, so I’m experienced with pets of all sizes and personalities. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, and care for their pets, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. I am an expert on giving medication too from having a senior dog for many years! What sets me apart is my reliability, genuine love for animals, and the peace of mind I give owners knowing their pets are safe, comfy and happy. I spend most of the time at home working remotely so they will get all my attention! I currently work part-time from home, which gives me plenty of time and flexibility to care for pets during the week and weekends. I’m available for walks, drop ins, and boarding. I love spending time playing with animals, giving them attention, and making sure they feel comfortable while their owners are away. I provide a safe and comfortable environment where pets are treated like my own. I have a private yard linked to trails that I walk daily, and I’d love to bring your dog along for exercise and fresh air. Most importantly, I always follow the owner’s instructions closely to make sure every pet feels secure, comfortable with routine, and well cared for!
“Lila took such great care of Haze over the weekend while I was away for my daughter’s birthday. She was incredibly accommodating, communicative, and made me feel completely comfortable leaving my dog with her. It gave me real peace of mind knowing Haze was in such good hands. I would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for reliable and caring pet care!”

“Katherine was an excellent sitter for my two dogs. She kept me up to date throughout the day and shared pictures and videos of my girls. She took care of my girls as if they were her own - spoiled and pampered. Katherine was great and I highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs! I'll definitely call on Katherine again in the future to take care of my girls.”

“I couldn’t be happier with my experience with Marcela. My biggest worry about going on vacation was finding the right sitter for my two dogs. After exchanging messages (which she is super prompt with) we did a meet and greet. Our dogs instantly took to her. You can tell right away she LOVES dogs. Her house is their house and our dogs didn’t even seem to miss us when we left! When we picked them up later in the week they seemed happy and tired! We will be using Marcela often in the future and would highly recommend everyone should too. She was great!”
“We had a wonderful pet-sitting experience with Nelieze! Our dog, Lulu, was exceptionally well cared for and loved while we were away. Nelieze was amazing—kind, reliable, accommodating, and attentive to Lulu’s needs. She kept us updated and gave us complete peace of mind knowing our furry family member was in great hands. We picked up a happy, well-cared-for pup. We highly recommend Nelieze to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!”

About: What sets me apart is my lifelong experience caring for both dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, and personalities. I was raised with pets and have hands-on experience caring for dogs ranging from Boxers and German Shepherds to Terrier mixes. I understand that every pet has unique needs, energy levels, and routines, and I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I have also completed a Leash Reactive Dog Course Certification, which has given me valuable training in understanding and safely handling dogs that may be reactive, anxious, or overstimulated on walks. This helps me provide calm, confident care while prioritizing your dog's safety and comfort. In addition, I have experience caring for cats of many breeds, including Siamese, Himalayan, Maine Coon, and both long-haired and short-haired domestic cats. I've cared for cats from playful kittens to senior companions, giving me experience with age specific needs and senior care. Whether your pet is young, energetic, shy, reactive, or in their golden years, I provide dependable, attentive care and treat every pet as if they were my own family. I currently work from home while my husband grows our family inspection business, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time for walks, playtime, enrichment activities, and lots of belly rubs. Animals have always been a big part of my life. Recently, I lost my beloved cat after 17 wonderful years. While we're not quite ready to welcome another permanent pet into our family, the universe seemed to have other plans. A wounded stray cat found her way into our driveway and into our hearts. We took her in, got her the care she needed, and are now helping her heal and thrive. Caring for animals brings me so much joy, and I'd love the opportunity to provide the same love, attention, and dependable care to your pets while you're away. I provide a calm, low-stress home environment where pets receive plenty of individualized attention. Because I work from home, I'm able to give pets lots of supervision, companionship, and engagement throughout the day. Whether your pet prefers relaxing in a quiet setting or needs extra playtime and exercise, I tailor my care to their unique personality and routine to help them feel safe, comfortable, and right at home.

“Ashley was amazing! She took such great care of my dog and I had no worries while I was gone. She sent me photos and kept me updated on her which I greatly appreciated. She was very attentive to her needs and I will definitely be using her again!”

“I was very pleased with Noah, and it appears that Delilah was pleased as well. Noah kept me in the loop while I was gone, and that was very much appreciated. I will be using Noah again in the future for sure.”

About: I grew up around dogs and have watched my grandmother’s plenty of times, mostly labs and pit bulls. Feeding on their schedule, letting them out through the day, walks, keeping them company overnight. Whatever their normal routine was, I kept it going. I’ve also spent time around show dogs, basenjis specifically, so I know what it looks like when a dog is kept to a stricter standard of care. I have cats now too, so I’m used to reading animals and catching when something seems off. I’m home all day, which means I notice fast. I’m comfortable with big dogs and high energy dogs. Pits and labs especially, they don’t intimidate me at all. If your dog has anything specific going on we can go through it at the meet and greet. I work from home full time, so I’m around all day. Pet care isn’t something I fit in between other things, it’s just part of my normal day. Message me any time and I’ll get back to you almost instantly. I have a house with a fenced yard, so dogs get real outside time on their own schedule instead of a quick trip before I run out the door. I’m home all day, which means I catch things fast if something seems off. I have cats, so I only take dogs that do okay around them. Gates stay up and I’m careful every time a door opens. If your dog is reactive to cats we can talk about it at the meet and greet and figure out if it’s a good fit.
“She was absolutely amazingly and her family was outstanding also. They took very good care of my Nala. I will definitely recommend her and will always use her if possible.”

“My baby was well cared for and the pictures and texts I received made me feel comfortable. Brianna and her Mom were very sweet. We hope they can keep Sugar baby when we come next year. I have been pleased both times I used Rover.”

Jada is AWESOME, like I have been with rover.com for over 5 years now and had many sitters for my fur baby and they were great. But Jada, was outstanding not 10 minutes of my pup being in her care a started receiving pictures and videos and throughout the entire stay. Her son and her are very welcoming and she has a great dog too. Jada, was a last minute booking and she exceeded my expectations of a fur baby sitter. She’s very friendly, respectful, understanding and has a loving personality great energy and very social almost like I met a friend. Jada comes highly recommended. I will definitely use her again only sitter for my pup.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
