“Excellent care as usual! Frequent updates about my cat as well as photos and videos help me to feel at ease while traveling. And most importantly, I always come home to a happy, healthy and relaxed kitty. Lorraine is awesome 😊”

“Thank you so much for taking such amazing care of our fur babies! Knowing they were safe and happy gave us complete peace of mind. You are incredibly professional and did a wonderful job. We truly appreciate you!”

“Colleen is amazing! She is so kind and thoughtful. She takes such good care of our puppy while we are at work. We’re so appreciative to have Colleen and couldn’t recommend her enough!”

“I needed a pet sitter last minute and was very nervous about using a sitter through an app versus someone I knew. Montana was absolutely amazing and kept me updated throughout her visits and even made sure it’s OK for my cat patches to go on the balcony before allowing her to do so. I highly recommend booking with her as she is amazing.”

“We booked last minute. It was our first time using Rover. Salena was great! She came over to visit our cat before we left and make sure everything was good to go. She did everything we asked and seemed to be great with our cat. He even cuddled her, which he never does with strangers. Would definitely book with Salena again if we need help min the future.”

About: Living on a farm back at home has given me a strong love for animals. My main goal when I’m around animals is to make sure they are comfortable and feeling safe. Pets are here to make us happy but I want the same for them as well! 💝 I am currently a full time student at the College of Charleston and start classes around 11pm everyday. I have breaks in the afternoon between classes and am done most days around 5, if not earlier. Morning, lunch, and evening would be how I would fit pet care into my daily routine. I want the pets i care for to feel comfortable with me in their home. I don’t want them to feel like I’m taking over their safe space and their territory. I want them to have trust with me.
“We booked drop‑in visits for our cat over a period of 9 days, and everything went smoothly. Gina was reliable, friendly, and always kept me updated with photos and notes. It gave us peace of mind knowing out cat was being checked on and cared for during the scheduled visits. I came home to a happy, relaxed cat, and I really appreciate the good service. I would definitely book again.”

“Amanda had high energy to match our 6-month-old Frenchies Duke & Domino. Our crew seems to love her. We also received daily updates and pictures of her drop-in visits that put us at ease.”

About: My name is Emma, and I have over a decade of experience caring for both dogs and cats, personally and professionally! I love animals, they’re such gifts, and I would love to help you with your special family member! I’ve trained dogs in both obedience and hunting professionally, as well as rescuing and adopting a cat personally, so I’m experienced caring for and loving both our canine and feline friends! I stay at home now, and would love to help you care for your furry companions! I’m currently staying at home, so while I always make sure to shower my little cat with love, I have plenty of time and flexibility throughout the workday to help care for your furry family members! This includes making sure they have plenty of playtime, long walks for our canine friends, and plenty of stimulation, as well as a clean environment (scoop litter boxes, make sure food/water are distributed appropriately, etc)! Each fur baby has different needs! I believe that owners know best, so my first step is to see what you want for your furry companion in terms of care! I love going on long walks, so happy to get plenty of exercise in with dogs, as well as letting them off leash (with explicit owner permission) within a fenced area! With our feline friends, I’m vigilant about doors, ensuring they don’t sneak out, and also love playing with them, and providing mental simulation!

“Absolutely love the professionalism and compassion. They have a passion for what they do and not only for animals but for us pet parents as well. I will not use any other sitters and you shouldn’t either! Thank you Sara, Maria & Raul!”

About: I have taken care of my families dogs on and off for many years, small and large. I am a very good listener, tell me the rules and I will enforce them. I am a part time college student, Monday and Wednesday afternoons, so I can spend nights those days keeping watch, but the rest of the week? Fully free. 24 hr care. I am quick to adapt my environment once pointed around, I can send scheduled updates on how your "little guy" is doing throughout the day.
About: What I have been told my entire life is that I have a way of making animals, no matter cats or dogs, calm and relaxed! I grew up around dogs my entire life of all shapes and sizes. from newfoundland's and saint Bernard's, to dachshunds and Australian shepherds and every where in between. In this house we love all fun loving dogs, as well as your adorable felines! I am currently a stay at home single mother, attending school for criminal justice with the goal to enter the forensics world. during the school year I’m a substitute teacher for Marion county, so, during the summer as well as other holiday breaks and weekends I need something to fill those gaps! as I would also be available after school hours! creating my own schedule is crucial during this time, luckily, it involves something that I enjoy as well! and can help others too!! this isn’t a service I’m currently providing in my home as I live in a small space with no fenced in yard unfortunately! in my clients home I will always remain respectful, focused, and attentive to your fur babies! entering someone else’s space is completely sacred and I aim to always be professional and honor your home as if it was my own.
About: Always been around animals and every dog is treated like my own kids :) I love animals and spending time with them . Spoiling them . I work full time Monday through Friday but can definitely fit in evenings and weekends . I will gladly walk and care for pets in my spare time. Follow the owners wishes and respect the pets like they’re my own kids. Always respect the pets and their boundaries. Love and care for pets .
“Kim was amazing. We lost track of time as first time parents and were lucky enough to book her just a few days before the holidays, for a lengthy stretch. She went above and beyond caring for our 2 cats. Always daily pictures with a note. She noticed when our anxious cat started stress licking and was able to use our diffuser to help provide some calming smells for them. She even set our trash out on the last day which was not expected. Could not recommend her more!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Ocala. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
