“I had a wonderful experience with Cody as my sitter. From the start, he was responsive and reassuring. During the stay, he sent frequent updates complete with adorable photos, which made a huge difference in calming my nerves about leaving my pet behind. Everything went smoothly, and my Haitta was clearly comfortable and loved. Cody is reliable, caring, and communicative. I'll be rebooking with him for sure on my next getaway!”

About: I've taken care of animals my entire life. Cats, dogs, birds, iguanas, ferrets and a few farm animals too. I was involved in an animal rescue group for several years, fostering many animals who had health issues. I firmly believe that all animals deserve love, shelter, safety, and food. I fall in love with almost every animal I meet! Even chickens! When I'm taking care of an animal, they get a majority of my attention and affection. I do some work from home so it should blend well. I like to meet with the owners and pets a couple of times before to be sure the animals are familiar with me and learn any important information for each pet. I try to follow the owners routine so that the pets are not confused.
“My dog gets extremely stressed with storms and I had left not expecting one and Pepper didn’t have anything to ease her. She kept Sam awake until 3AM. Sam took loving care of my girl. I felt so bad, but Sam said she just felt bad for Pepper and not herself. I will always have medicine available from now on. Thank you Sam.”

“This family is wonderful! They’re very caring, sweet, helpful, and sincere. I made a last minute booking, and they immediately accommodated me. They were very responsive and sent me several pictures of my pup and gave me updates throughout the day. I felt like I had left my pup with family. The home was very clean. I highly recommend them and will definitely use them again. ❤️”

“Diana has been wonderful to work with and is always very accommodating and super responsive. She communicates clearly and is quick to address any questions or concerns. When she sent a photo of our dog wearing a walk collar, we asked for clarification and she immediately reassured us that it was removed after walks and completely understood our concern. That level of care and communication means a lot to us. We couldn’t recommend her more and feel very confident leaving our dog in her care.”

“Sarah was not only the best dog sitter ever but she also gave me companionship and compassion during a difficult time. She is an amazing person and will absolutely be the best dog sitter you'll ever have. I will be using her again if i ever have to!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

About: I’m a dog person. I’ve never been without a dog and have owned many breeds; A Chihuahua, German Sheppard, cockapoo, English Springer Spaniel, mixed breeds, Jack Russell Shortie. I love them all. Currently I own a 15 year old senior Corgi and an 18 month old long haired Mini Dachshund puppy. I can’t get enough of dogs. I have also dog sat for many neighbors and family. My daughter owns two very active Australian Sheppards and they love me! because I am retired and home full-time i can shower your fur babies with love, attention and activities. Please save me from owning too many dogs by allowing me to invite your pup(s) into my home! I am retired and I do volunteer work, about 10 hours a week. I have a senior dog who requires eye drops and a special diet. In addition my youngster dachshund has completed puppy training, house training and socialization. She loves to play, if you have a puppy, my home is puppy proof and I will help you work on housebreaking. I have a large home with a fenced yard. I have two well socialized and pet friendly dogs. A 15 year old Corgi and an 18 month old mini dachshund. My dogs are crate trained. Visiting dogs can be crate trained or free to roam the house. On furniture is fine, but I will adhere to your rules. I do not allow dogs in my bed.
“We are so grateful for your family! Thank you so much for taking such great care of our dogs and for being so kind and supportive through our last minute flight changes. Highly recommend!”

“Heidi was great. I got turned down several times due to my boy being a pitbull. She didn't hesitate and agreed to take him in. I highly recommend to anyone in need of a special someone to care for their extended family member.”

“This was my first time leaving my Bandit with anyone since we got him 2 years ago and it wasn’t easy but Samantha and her family made everything work out wonderfully. It was like a mini vacation/camp for my Bandit! He had a great time with the kids and running and playing in the yard and on his walks. I will be bringing him back if only for a play date to visit. lol He was a happy boy!”

“We rebooked with Andi since our dog, Mabel, seemed to love her time with Andi & her family! They took great care of her, sent lots of updates, & even cared for Mabel when she unexpectedly went into heat early. Thanks again Andi for taking care of our berner bear!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Beverly Hills
Thank you! Thank you! 💕 You two are the Best! We missed him so much. Almost 3 weeks is a long time to be away from our puppy dog.🐾🐾🐾 It might be a while before we board him again, but we know we can count on you to spoil him rotten when we do! 🥰 I could tell by all the pictures that Linc had a great time with you .... and that he was safe and well cared for the whole time we were gone. He has come home happy and tired! Which is good because we have to recover from our vacation too🚢

My girls had a wonderful time with Christopher and his wife. Both dogs came home happy and confident. Especially my Becky who is nervous and reactive, she came home so happy and confident I’m thinking we should arrange regular pup sitting just to keep this going. I got regular updates and pictures of how the girls were doing the whole time I was away. Would definitely recommend using them!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
