“We left our 2 pitties with Renee and her husband- I was so nervous to leave my girls while we went on vacation. I was worried they would be scared and sad. But Renee and her family were so amazing and updated me so often with photos and videos. It kept me at ease on vacation knowing they were so well cared for. I could see how clearly my girls were spoiled with so much love and snuggles !! If we ever need a doggy sitter in the future , I will 100% be using them again!”

“Kale was an awesome sitter and friend to our fur baby! She gave consistent updates without us even asking, pertaining to our pup and if she was playing/eating/sleeping as well as getting along with her fur baby! We also got several pictures throughout the day which for an owner we know is a want and even a must in most cases :) I would use her again in a heartbeat and absolutely recommend her care to anyone.”

“Shorty just loved his visit with Patricia and her family! Without hesitation I would recommend their services! From the beginning Shorty was completely comfortable and I knew he was in good hands. Paula”

“Denise took good care of my sweet girl. Her dog Casey and Bubbles got along great. Denise took lots of pictures and sent them to me while I was away which helped alot especially when you miss and worry about fur baby. I recommend Denise to anyone looking for a sitter and I will be using her again in September.”

“Kari is always so amazing with the pups. They are happy to be there and come home very loved and well taken care of. Such a wonderful peace of mind when they are with her while we are traveling.”

“Bridget was really great. We are very happy that we chose her to take care of our puppy while we were gone. She send us daily updates and pictures. I definitely recommend her.”

“Ace had a great stay over a week span and on Christmas none the less. Sara was in constant communication with us and let us know how he was doing. She even went to petsmart to pick up a new harness after the one we had broke. They did a great job with Ace and I will be using their services again in the future.”

“Our dogs loved their time with Kim and she definitely treated them as her own. She communicated frequently and always kept me up to date on how they were doing. My grumpy little man who hates walks even seemed to enjoy walking with her. Her home was cleaner than a lot of homes I've done meet-and-greets at. And she was flexible when I had to adjust my pick up time. Thank you so much Kim!”

About: My expertise include training puppies and adult dogs, which entails learning fundamental obedience, socializing, and house-training procedures. Understanding animal behavior and body language is also important. Patient care skills include dispensing medications, providing mobility support, and understanding prevalent age-related diseases and how to manage them compassionately. Certifications and training include CPR and first aid. I feel that effective communication with pet owners or relatives of those in care is critical for assessing any requirements, providing updates, and responding to any concerns as soon as possible.Being consistent and adaptable to shifting schedules or needs can make not just your life, but also your fur baby's life, less stressful. My name is Olivia and I am currently in school full time and have plenty of flexibility to adhere to any of your schedule preferences. Ragnar, a German Malinois, and Riley, a German shorthaired pointer, are my two adventurous fur babies. I make every effort to have a consistent schedule. Every day, I aim for at least one hour of vigorous exercise and consistent training for obedience. We love to play fetch, go on hikes and to swim in the warmer months.
About: I love animals! I have been caring for cats and dogs since my early twenties. Did I mention that I love animals? ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ I just retired and have lots of time to care for your fur baby. I would love to give your pet lots of love. ❤️ We currently just have a cat and a dog in our home. Your dog would get walks and lots of potty breaks. Not to mention lots of love.

“Jean and Al were very kind and took excellent care of our Goldendoodle while we were out of town. We loved getting the pics and updates as well to see how comfortable our dog was in our absence.”

“Laura is great with our pup. She always welcomes him and says goodbye to him with love and the way he responds every time shows how well she takes care of him. Our pup Oscar came home tired and happy with all the playtime he got at her house. He goes back each time all excited and happy to run and jump in her huge yard. We are very happy with her care and love that she listens to requests and tries her best to accommodate and make our Oscar comfortable :)”

About: I grew up with dogs all my life. I appreciate what they do for me. I have owned dogs of a variety of sizes Big (Labradors - Sassie and Flounder), Cocker Spaniel (Cleo), Basset Hound (Ginger), Terrier (Kush), and Pomeranian (Foxy). I learned by caring for these dogs that the most important thing is to identify each dog's individual needs by paying attention to how they are feeling and how they interact with me and the other dogs. I personalize my care for each dog. I am experienced with: - puppies as well as elder dogs and all ages in between. - administering medications as needed. - personalized feeding schedules. - personalized walking schedules and outdoors time. - crate trained or not. I am currently a stay at home wife who has plenty of time to take care of dogs up to 40 lbs. My home is pet friendly, with doorway gates to make sure that each dog has a safe place to eat and enjoy their stay at my home. My schedule is flexible and can be changed and updated on an as needed basis, I have a back yard and a safe sidewalk that is easily accessible outside my front door. My back yard has grass and a screened in porch for those days when it is comfortable for dogs to be outside.

“We had to cancel our first booking due to the hurricane and Kelli was very understanding and accommodating in the reschedule. She was also. Wry responsive to any message I sent. Her home was very dog friendly and her son was very outgoing and helped carry in all of Dexters loot when we first arrived. We received photos and video during the stay and Dexter seemed happy and content!”
About: I have owned dogs most of my life, big and small. I have pet sat for family, I take care of most of my own dogs needs (baths, teeth, hair and nail cuts) Most importantly I understand the guilt of having to leave your fur babies home while you are at work all day. I love the idea of being that person to bring some joy to their day and give the potty and exercise break they need. As well as lots of lovin! I have had hamsters, guinea pigs and chickens as well. My husband calls me the dog whisperer (bit dramatic) but most dogs tend to trust me right away I’ve had quite a few surprised people when their dog comes right over and gives me kisses seconds after meeting. I have trained several puppies basic commands as well. I look forward to hearing from you and creating bonds with more animals! <3 I am around most days so I have plenty of time to check in with your animals! I can be there anytime after 8:00am and availability is 7 days a week. I have a fenced in yard, 2 happy playful pups, 2 dog loving respectful kids. Extra dog crate if quiet breaks are needed. Sunbathing on the screened in lanai. Lots of toys and fun to be had.
“Lenise was great with Blanket. Blanket is usually shy around strangers, but he warmed up to her well. She sent pictures of him out walking and by the pool. Lenise even recommended a dog food recipe for him. I will use her again and I recommend her.”
“Kathleen was great, I booked last min. She was very understanding and helpful. Sent pictures through the weekend and made sure to update as how things were going. Felt as if I left my dog with someone I’ve known forever, thank you!”

I cannot say enough fantastic things about this dog sitter Jocelyn. From the moment we left our dog in her care, I knew he was in loving capable hands. She treated our dog as if he was her own, giving him attention, affection and excellent care every day. Being away from a beloved pet can be stressful, but the updates kindness and genuine love she showed give me complete piece of mind. When we picked up our dog, I can tell he had been happy, comfortable and truly taken care for. It means so much to find someone who not only watches your pet but also forms a real bond with them. I am incredibly grateful for the compassion, patience, and dedication she showed. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy caring dog sitter. Thank you for taking such amazing Care for my furry family member!

Dulce and her husband were great with Biggie! Dulce showed biggie love and attention which he needs a lot of. He came home very happy, calm and well taken care of. I received daily photos and videos while away which gave me peace of mind. I would highly recommend her!

I am very happy with the care Olga provided for my dog; she was kind, affectionate, and attentive from start to finish, and Rocco looked very happy and comfortable with her. Knowing that he was in good hands gave me peace of mind. I would undoubtedly entrust Rocco to her again, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an attentive and reliable pet sitter!

Thank you so much for accommodating us at a short noticed! when I pick the boys up (buddy and arty) they were so happy you can tell they really enjoyed they’re time! Arty was so tuckered out he started to fall asleep on me on the drive home! Next time we need a sitter we will definetly be coming back thank you again!

We had an incredible experience with our pet sitter, especially on such short notice. From the very beginning, she was responsive, professional, and genuinely caring. She stepped in seamlessly, followed all instructions carefully, and kept us updated with messages and photos, which gave us total peace of mind. Our little Mazi boy was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for when we returned. It’s not easy to find someone dependable at the last minute, but Migdalia exceeded every expectation. We’re beyond grateful and would absolutely recommend her services to anyone looking for trustworthy and compassionate pet care. Thank you so much, we appreciate you! Until next time, Dali!

My experience with Denise was more than 5 stars, she looked after my two Maine coon's for a week and she was very understanding, gentle, and took very good care of them, her house is very pet friendly and I will recommend her to everyone in my area, she sent photos of my kitties, and kept them fed and happy, if I could give above 5 stars I would 😊

Katherine was AMAZING!! Great communication daily w/pics and videos of our cats’ antics lol Our cats got along great with her and her small dog. We were a little apprehensive as we were gone for a week and this was the first time we’d tried a Rover cat sitter, but it went splendidly! Will definitely use her again - 10/10 highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
