“Lenise was great with Blanket. Blanket is usually shy around strangers, but he warmed up to her well. She sent pictures of him out walking and by the pool. Lenise even recommended a dog food recipe for him. I will use her again and I recommend her.”

“Ace had a great stay over a week span and on Christmas none the less. Sara was in constant communication with us and let us know how he was doing. She even went to petsmart to pick up a new harness after the one we had broke. They did a great job with Ace and I will be using their services again in the future.”

“This is the best experience I have had with a dog sitter. I have a chihuahua with separation anxiety. I left him for 2 days and Magy was first class in taking my puppy and loving him. She updated me daily with texts, pictures and videos, which showed her care for my well being of knowing he was safe and was being a good boy. I will absolutely be a repeat customer for Magy and I will spread the word however I can to help Magy stay busy. Thank you.”

“We left our 2 pitties with Renee and her husband- I was so nervous to leave my girls while we went on vacation. I was worried they would be scared and sad. But Renee and her family were so amazing and updated me so often with photos and videos. It kept me at ease on vacation knowing they were so well cared for. I could see how clearly my girls were spoiled with so much love and snuggles !! If we ever need a doggy sitter in the future , I will 100% be using them again!”

“Chris C kept my kitten for four days and three nights. This was her first time being away from me for more than eight hours. He was absolutely awesome. He sent me videos pictures text messages and I felt comfortable the entire time I was away from her. she’s almost 6 months and still a baby. He treated her like she was his own and so did his awesome cat Stasche I would definitely recommend him and I will also rebook with him whenever Skye needs a sitter really nice guy and his home was perfect for my baby to enjoy herself”

“We had to cancel our first booking due to the hurricane and Kelli was very understanding and accommodating in the reschedule. She was also. Wry responsive to any message I sent. Her home was very dog friendly and her son was very outgoing and helped carry in all of Dexters loot when we first arrived. We received photos and video during the stay and Dexter seemed happy and content!”
“Becky was so good with my fur baby. This is his first time with a stranger. Started a little slow, wouldn't eat. Made me sad. Then he was happy as can be. Loved running in her fenced back yard. Definitely use her again.”

“Our dogs loved their time with Kim and she definitely treated them as her own. She communicated frequently and always kept me up to date on how they were doing. My grumpy little man who hates walks even seemed to enjoy walking with her. Her home was cleaner than a lot of homes I've done meet-and-greets at. And she was flexible when I had to adjust my pick up time. Thank you so much Kim!”

“Denise took good care of my sweet girl. Her dog Casey and Bubbles got along great. Denise took lots of pictures and sent them to me while I was away which helped alot especially when you miss and worry about fur baby. I recommend Denise to anyone looking for a sitter and I will be using her again in September.”

“Bridget was really great. We are very happy that we chose her to take care of our puppy while we were gone. She send us daily updates and pictures. I definitely recommend her.”

About: Being a dog mom for over 10 years and a cat mom for 3 years, now being a mom to my own babies and staying home full time with the ability to open my home or help others with their fur babies is my favorite hobby. I have a beautiful golden retriever that I’ve had since she was 6 weeks so I’ve been able to be with her and learn all stages of dogs. I have a large, fenced in backyard so plenty of space to play or sun bathe for the pups. I’m currently a stay at home mom to a newborn so I now have extra time for this hobby. I love dogs and sitting them is my fun way of interacting and enjoying a new pup without getting another one of my own. Dogs have always been members of the family to me. Spending quality time with them by going on long walks with plenty time to sniff and stimulate their brains, cuddling on the couch watching movies or playing with their favorite toy.
“We had an incredible experience with our pet sitter, especially on such short notice. From the very beginning, she was responsive, professional, and genuinely caring. She stepped in seamlessly, followed all instructions carefully, and kept us updated with messages and photos, which gave us total peace of mind. Our little Mazi boy was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for when we returned. It’s not easy to find someone dependable at the last minute, but Migdalia exceeded every expectation. We’re beyond grateful and would absolutely recommend her services to anyone looking for trustworthy and compassionate pet care. Thank you so much, we appreciate you! Until next time, Dali!”

“They were great!! I was so nervous about leaving my puppy because I have never left her with anyone before. They took very great care of her and sent plenty of pictures. I would highly recommend.”

“Kimberly was great. She took great care of my dog and provided daily picture updates. Her own doggie Bailey was really sweet as well. I would book with her again and recommend.”

“We asked Alicia to doggy sit at very last minute, probably 2 hrs heads up notice. She was very accommodating and our pup seemed to enjoy her stay. We appreciate Alicia working with us in our time of need!”

“He was great with my dog (who currently has a medical issue with his paw and requires multiple medications, a cone and cleaning). He asked all the right questions about my dog’s extra care and kept us updated with photos and videos throughout his entire stay. He went above and beyond (even gave him a bath after asking permission of course). I highly recommend him and will use him again. :-)”

“Lindsay and her family have once again taken incredible care of our Jimi. Not often does a pet not want to leave their sitter but that’s the case every time Jimi stays with them which shows us how happy he is being there. Great communication, frequent updates with photos and they keep our boy happy. Thank you!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
