“We were delighted with the care Janel , Jeffrey and Olivia provided our two dogs during the first visit and we look forward to continuing to book with them . Janel and Jeff are professionals and we highly recommend their service . We have two dogs, with two distinct personalities, and Janel and Jeff did a great job caring for both . Janel and Jeff are compassionate, experienced, patient and thoughtful listeners ( esp when we probably gave them too much information during our first visit!). Olive and Happy say thank you for the wonderful visit - and so do we !”

“Grace took such amazing care of Bella, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better person to watch her. She kept sending us pictures all the time, which made us feel so comfortable and reassured seeing Bella happy and well taken care of. What really stood out was how much Grace cared about doing things the right way — she asked thoughtful questions about where Bella sleeps, how she eats, and what works best for her. You could tell she genuinely wanted to give Bella the best care possible. She was kind, attentive, and truly treated Bella like her own. I felt completely comfortable leaving Bella with her, and that peace of mind means everything. Highly recommend Grace to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring.”

“Always feel safe leaving Wonton with Larry & Renee and they seem to enjoy having him. Appreciate having them take care of Wonton when we are unable to take him. Thank you Larry & Renee😄”

“Katherine and Chris were so accommodating to take Nino in after a last minute cancellation. The photos made me feel relieved that he was enjoying his stay. Thanks again”

“Ashley is seriously the best. Her dogs are amazing and so sweet, our 1 year old Husky really enjoyed his time with her and her dogs. She provided us with the best updates and pictures, and it was not hard to tell that she truly loves animals and made our pup feel just at home. We recommend Ashley to anyone that wants the best for their pup, it’s definitely going to feel like a vacation for them. She is also very good at controlling interactions that could possibly escalate and handles it with a very calm yet assertive manner. If you would appreciate someone to watch your pup that will love him/her just as much as you do, and for them to be able to play with other sweet pups, Ashley is the one for you.”

“I couldn’t have asked for a nicer home for my most cherished possession. So accommodating when my plans made a sudden change. I would recommend and frequent Daniel on any of my out of town trips. 10 out of 10!”

“Our fur baby felt right at home with Stephanie! He was treated like a king and was happy and relaxed while away from home. The daily updates and pics gave us peace of mind. We've already booked our next stay!”

Luna loved playing with her pups and had plenty of attention from her family. I loved all the updates and pictures about Luna’s stay. Thank you for welcoming Luna into your family. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Tarpon Springs
I left my senior dog with Rick and his family while I went out of town for a week, and I can't thank them enough for taking such good care of her! Rick regularly checked in and sent pictures, and I had piece of mind knowing my girl got plenty of attention while I was away. She had the best time!

Jenna did a great job taking care of Bonnie and Lucy from Sunday morning through Wednesday afternoon. Our dogs were clearly well cared for, and it was a big plus that her two dogs got along and played nicely with ours, which helped keep them active and happy. Communication was good overall, and she was responsive when needed. The dogs came home healthy and in good spirits, and we appreciated her care while we were away. We’d be comfortable using Jenna again and appreciate her help.

Anne was great with our newly acquired 5-yr old shelter dog, Toby. We are still working on potty training and good behavior with him so he wasn't an easy guest. We're implementing some helpful suggestions Anne offered and anticipate that Toby will be a better guest the next time around!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
