“Sibrena was amazing with my dog who requires a lot of attention. She sent me pictures to keep me up to date with the happenings of her day. Thank you so much for caring for my dog!”

“Thanks so much for taking good care of Eulee. He is going to miss being off leash in your yard. Not something he can do at home unfortunately. Thanks for the glucosamine chews too!”

“Our fur baby felt right at home with Stephanie! He was treated like a king and was happy and relaxed while away from home. The daily updates and pics gave us peace of mind. We've already booked our next stay!”

“Leaving Stewart with almost strangers is terrifying to me but Janel and Jeffrey were very reassuring and made my husband and I feel comfortable! The pictures were also a great help confirming that he was safe and being well taken care of! Getting dates together to book he's next stay with Janel & Jeff.”

“My experience was great! Good communication and I received photos throughout the stay. I liked that they meet us before the stay to ensure it’s a good fit. Thank you!”

“Torie was great! I’ve never left my boy with anyone so I was very nervous, and he had a blast. I got constant updates, and not only her but her husband made him feel at home and give him constant snuggles. As soon as we got to her home, he wanted nothing to do with me … only Torie and her husband :) Thank you so much!”

“Larry and Renee took such great care of my 2 girls. The puppy was taken for walks and trips to the park and my old girl was given tons of love and some walks. Both came home worn out and happy! I would absolutely use Larry and Renee again.”
“We are just so happy that we chose Ashley to leave our Golden and our American Bully with during this trip. We were kept updated with lots of frequent pictures and notes and we felt like we were with our dogs even while traveling. They were so happy they loved her and we would definitely use her again!”

“Courtney was very sweet and took great care of my pup! She exceeded expectations by taking my dogo to the doggy park and for frequent walks. Her communication throughout the day was great and she took the best photos of my pup interacting with others. Would definitely use her as a sitter again!”

“Thank you Carlos and family for taking care of my Charlie. He was happy to see us come back for him but the following few days he looked sad. I believed he really did have a good time at your house and was missing you and your family and your pets. I will use your service again if you will like to have Charlie back :) Thank you Bev”

“2nd time our Noelani stayed with Athena and Richi! They were great again! Always got updates with cute pictures! This time I could tell Noelani remembered them and was more relaxed 🙏❤️. Will definitely use again! Thank you, Tim & Theresa”

“We feel that Roscoe was well cared for and got plenty of snuggles!! He sent photos and updates. We will definitely have him watch Roscoe again! Thank you so much!”

“Chandler was absolutely wonderful with our dog! He was kind, gentle and patient - you can tell right away that he truly cares about animals. Our dog warmed up to him immediately and we felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. We came home to a happy relaxed pup and couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Highly recommend Chandler to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and compassionate”

“Once again, Mei Li and Mr. Bob went above and beyond in taking care of our dog, Ozzy. They send lots of pictures and videos and treat him as if he is their own. He loves staying there!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Tarpon Springs
Tracee is the kindest and most caring pet sitter ever! She knew how to integrate my dog with two others and hey we’re a happy pack on all park adventures and in a safe and ac cooled home. Tracee followed my feeding instructions with perfection (I cook turkey, carrots and peas and freeze portions) mixed with some kibble - I will definitely leave Bo Tracee again. She is deeply caring and interested in your dogs every need!! Bo stayed hydrated and fed and well loved with plenty of walks. Tracee is very special. You won’t have to worry at all - she truly loves pups and is a safe choice here on Rover. You can count on her 100%. She provided me photos and updates daily! I really enjoyed knowing my dog was safe and happy and healthy.

Jenna did a great job taking care of Bonnie and Lucy from Sunday morning through Wednesday afternoon. Our dogs were clearly well cared for, and it was a big plus that her two dogs got along and played nicely with ours, which helped keep them active and happy. Communication was good overall, and she was responsive when needed. The dogs came home healthy and in good spirits, and we appreciated her care while we were away. We’d be comfortable using Jenna again and appreciate her help.

Anne was great with our newly acquired 5-yr old shelter dog, Toby. We are still working on potty training and good behavior with him so he wasn't an easy guest. We're implementing some helpful suggestions Anne offered and anticipate that Toby will be a better guest the next time around!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
