“Brett and Martha took extremely good care of our little old man… Sunny is going on 15 years old and can barely see or hear… We were nervous having to switch to a new sitter for him. Brett checked in with us every day via text to let us know how sunny was doing. We felt very confident, and could tell that son he was very happy and well taken care of. We definitely recommend brett and martha to take care of your “fur baby“ We are happy to have a new regular caregiver for sunny… We travel often and are so pleased to have found martha and brett. Thank you guys for taking such good care of Sunny. I bet Ray is happy to have his bed back! Sonny’s says thank you for sharing, Ray!”
“Lorraine lovingly cared for my two cockapoos for 3 days and 2 nights. She kept me informed with wonderful pictures, including a few with my babies snuggled up against her on the couch😍. She gave them lots of love and excercise. In fact, she took such good care of them that one of my pups didn’t want to leave her when my daughter went to pick them up! I highly recommend Lorraine to take care of your pups!”

“Tracee H. Is the kindest, most professional sitter that you could ask for. She cared for our Shih Tzu while we were away 9 days during the thanksgiving holiday. She sent many pictures and updates daily. Tracee went soo far as to bathe our little guy for us before we picked him up. I can’t say enough great things or thank her enough as we were at ease for our entire vacation.”

About: I care for dogs and cats of all ages, from energetic youngsters to sweet seniors who prefer the slower, cozier side of life. I’m patient, attentive, and adaptable. High energy? Let’s play. Nervous and shy? I’ll move at their pace. Senior pet who needs medication, extra mobility support, or a strict feeding schedule? I’ve got it handled calmly and carefully. I pay attention to the little details — changes in behavior, appetite, or mood — and I always keep you updated so you never have to wonder how things are going. Expect photos, check-ins, and probably at least one message about how adorable your pet is. Reliable, communicative, and fully committed to making your pet feel safe, loved, and slightly spoiled, that’s what I bring to the table (treats included, if approved by management). As a retiree, pet care fits very naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to the pets in my care, which means they’re never squeezed in between meetings or long work hours. My days are calm, structured, and centered around home life; perfect for maintaining a pet’s normal routine. Whether it’s regular potty breaks, play sessions, medication schedules, or just quiet time together, I’m able to give pets consistent attention throughout the day. I’m home often, so pets who prefer company (or need a little extra supervision) are well cared for. Pet sitting fits my lifestyle because I truly enjoy the companionship and purpose it brings to my week. It keeps me active, engaged, and doing something I genuinely love; caring for animals and giving their owners peace of mind. When pets stay in my home, my goal is to make them feel safe, comfortable, and part of the family. I provide a calm, structured environment where they receive plenty of attention, supervision, and affection throughout the day. I stick closely to each pet’s normal routine — including feeding schedules, walk times, potty breaks, playtime, and any special care instructions. If medication is needed, I administer it carefully and on schedule. I also pay close attention to their behavior, appetite, and energy levels to make sure they’re adjusting well and feeling their best. Because I’m retired and home often, pets aren’t left alone for long periods. They get consistent companionship, gentle engagement, and a cozy place to relax. Whether they’re active and playful or prefer quiet cuddle time, I adapt to their personality and comfort level. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident and connected while they’re away. My goal is for pets to feel loved, secure, and right at home until their family returns.
“This was the first time I have ever had to leave our puppy girl with someone else so of course I had anxiety over it. Lindsay and her family were absolutely wonderful. From updates and pictures I was so at ease that my baby girl was in great hands. I will definitely use her again for a puppy sitter.”

“Our two beagles Larry and Betty really enjoyed their stay with Christine and all her fur babies. Christine updates us with photos and messages daily. Our dogs were definitely living their best doggie daycare life in Christine’s care. We would highly recommend her!”

“Lori was great! Stayed in constant communication with texts and pictures. Dogs were well taken care of. This was a great alternative to boarding them at a kennel. Thanks so much! Will definitely use again.”

I left my senior dog with Rick and his family while I went out of town for a week, and I can't thank them enough for taking such good care of her! Rick regularly checked in and sent pictures, and I had piece of mind knowing my girl got plenty of attention while I was away. She had the best time!

I would give 10 star if available. I will leave my beloved dog with Jen, her beautiful daughter & loving fun Bernadoodle anytime. Everything on Jen’s profile fit the description through the photos and comments she sent while I was away. You must meet these loving and caring gems.

Thank you for providing such amazing care for my little Buddy. It was a huge relief knowing that he was in such wonderful hands while we were away on vacation. I was kept up to date on how well he was doing and how much fun he was having. Overall, definitely five plus stars experience. 😊❤️

We love Mary and Nolan and even more after this stay! Unfortunately one of our pups suffered an unexpected medical emergency while we were away. Without hesitation, Mary and Nolan jumped into action and took our pup to our emergency vet and sat with her for and an extended period of time making sure she was loved and cared for. Because of them our pup was never alone and is still with us today!! I can’t recommend them enough. They will go above and beyond to care for your pups! We would give them 10 stars if we could!

Izzy is amazing. I knew the moment I met her she would be perfect for my Clarkie. He loved staying with her and was excited to play with new friends. We will definitely use Izzy again. Highly responsible and so loving. Thanks, Izzy for making Clarkies stay fun and giving me peace of mind when leaving him. ❤️

Sarah and Arabella were phenomenal. Sarah has a lot of knowledge on dogs and how to’s. My pup loved being there and I can tell by his demeanor when I pick him up and it was night and day from my last sitter. I highly recommend these two and will be rebooking with them for sure.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
