“I felt very comfortable leaving our dog with Noemi. Her home is immaculate and she gave our dog lots of opportunities for exercise at the dog park, walking and in her fenced area. Will definitely use her again.”

“We used Betsy over the weekend and had a great experience! She was constantly updating me and sending photos! Drop off and pick up was very smooth! We are going to use her again for another upcoming trip!”

About: I care for dogs and cats of all ages, from energetic youngsters to sweet seniors who prefer the slower, cozier side of life. I’m patient, attentive, and adaptable. High energy? Let’s play. Nervous and shy? I’ll move at their pace. Senior pet who needs medication, extra mobility support, or a strict feeding schedule? I’ve got it handled calmly and carefully. I pay attention to the little details — changes in behavior, appetite, or mood — and I always keep you updated so you never have to wonder how things are going. Expect photos, check-ins, and probably at least one message about how adorable your pet is. Reliable, communicative, and fully committed to making your pet feel safe, loved, and slightly spoiled, that’s what I bring to the table (treats included, if approved by management). As a retiree, pet care fits very naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to the pets in my care, which means they’re never squeezed in between meetings or long work hours. My days are calm, structured, and centered around home life; perfect for maintaining a pet’s normal routine. Whether it’s regular potty breaks, play sessions, medication schedules, or just quiet time together, I’m able to give pets consistent attention throughout the day. I’m home often, so pets who prefer company (or need a little extra supervision) are well cared for. Pet sitting fits my lifestyle because I truly enjoy the companionship and purpose it brings to my week. It keeps me active, engaged, and doing something I genuinely love; caring for animals and giving their owners peace of mind. When pets stay in my home, my goal is to make them feel safe, comfortable, and part of the family. I provide a calm, structured environment where they receive plenty of attention, supervision, and affection throughout the day. I stick closely to each pet’s normal routine — including feeding schedules, walk times, potty breaks, playtime, and any special care instructions. If medication is needed, I administer it carefully and on schedule. I also pay close attention to their behavior, appetite, and energy levels to make sure they’re adjusting well and feeling their best. Because I’m retired and home often, pets aren’t left alone for long periods. They get consistent companionship, gentle engagement, and a cozy place to relax. Whether they’re active and playful or prefer quiet cuddle time, I adapt to their personality and comfort level. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident and connected while they’re away. My goal is for pets to feel loved, secure, and right at home until their family returns.

“Brett and Martha took extremely good care of our little old man… Sunny is going on 15 years old and can barely see or hear… We were nervous having to switch to a new sitter for him. Brett checked in with us every day via text to let us know how sunny was doing. We felt very confident, and could tell that son he was very happy and well taken care of. We definitely recommend brett and martha to take care of your “fur baby“ We are happy to have a new regular caregiver for sunny… We travel often and are so pleased to have found martha and brett. Thank you guys for taking such good care of Sunny. I bet Ray is happy to have his bed back! Sonny’s says thank you for sharing, Ray!”
“Our Jack just had his first visit with Bella and her family. I was so pleased with the care and fun and love that he received! The space is dog friendly and clean. Mark and Jen were very thorough and conscientious in their conversations with me, both before and after Jack's visit. Jack seemed totally at home and I think that he had a wonderful time playing with Bella. I am glad to have found Mark, Jen, Noah and Bella. I will definitely bring Jack to their home again the next time that I need care for Jack. Thank You :)”

“We drove in from out of town for an event and needed a safe place for our dogs other than our hotel room. The first time I spoke with Denise, I knew that our beloved doggies would be in good hands. Drop off and pick up went smoothly. Denise is confident with dogs and really seems to know what she’s doing. Her house and yard are set up for hosting dogs with safety in mind- I appreciated the double gate pick up point. Denise sent pictures while they were there to further put us at ease. We had a very positive experience!”

“I have been boarding my dog Bella with Angie every time I needed to leave town for work or training, and she has been great with my dog Bella! She is very flexible, especially with my unpredictable schedule sometimes, and takes very good care of my Bella :-) Highly recommend services.”

“Marisa and Bob are amazing dog sitters. They treated our dog like family and kept us posted with photos. We are so grateful for them and will definitely utilize their services again. Thank you, Marisa and Bob.”

“Jean was extremely pleasant and a fantastic dog sitter (along with her husband Bernie). I couldn't have been luckier to have found her to take care of my aging dog. We were out of the country for 3 weeks and Jean sent me pictures and updates every day. Our dog was very well taken care of and I would not hesitate to use her again.”

About: I’ve been a registered nurse in Pinellas County for 41 years. I own my home which is fenced and maintained. I like being home, so dogs will rarely be left alone. I do have 2 cats so I prefer dogs that get along with cats. I am a retired RN. By choice I spend a lot of my time at home I walk my dog daily and she would love company when she walks. I have a fenced yard and a very happy, healthy, easy going Miniature Schnauzer. All dogs would have a secure harness when walking. I only walk two dogs at a time.
“Marissa and her husband are just amazing! Marissa asked great questions about our sweet boy and she is a fantastic listener. She sent fantastic pictures and updates - I can’t say enough about her attention to detail and amazing care of our pup while we were out of town. We will absolutely be using Marissa to watch our boy again and I couldn’t recommend her more! She even gave us the most adorable report card with attached pictures- truly above and beyond!”

“We left our 2 dogs with this wonderful couple for multiple days. Their home is clean and comfortable. Our dogs came home happier than ever! Can't beat the great communication and peace of mind. Will use them again!”

“Linda was a great sitter for my dog Bella. She took her on a short notice so I was able to fly home and spend time with family. She followed my instructions and sent plenty of pictures. You can’t go wrong booking with her.”

“Alli is a fabulous pet sitter and a true professional! My Havanese, Milo, has mild separation anxiety in most instances but felt very comfortable and happy with Alli’s care. I highly recommend her services and have already booked another stay for Milo! Thank you Alli for taking such good care of Milo! We really enjoyed the pictures you sent us too!”

“Plain and simple - VASTI IS THE BEST! Amazing care of our precious little Morkie, who is not easy to care for, as that breed can be very possessive. She did a great job, sent constant updated pics and videos, showing her care and he really took to her attentiveness. We will definitely be asking for her services again in the future. Highly recommend her for your pet as well.”

“Yessica and her husband treated our dog Leo like their own while we were away! She sent tons of photo and video updates so we could really enjoy our trip. Their home has a huge backyard so Leo loved playing and running around in it. We will def use Yessica in the future and highly recommend her to anyone!”

“Jennifer was fantastic and took amazing care of our two dogs. I'm so grateful to her for agreeing to keep them at the last minute. We will definitely be using her again!”

Leslie could not have done a better job with our girl, Maggie. She was very communicative and provided updates with pictures/videos throughout our time out of town. Maggie had a great time staying with her and her dog Willa. We would not hesitate to use Leslie again and we are so happy we found her! Could not recommend her enough.

I honestly cannot say enough good things about Lori. She has been watching my dog Chewie since 2016. As of this review, it has been 10 years. Never in a million years would I have bet we'd be able to book the same dog sitter through Rover for that long. Our dog has separation anxiety and can be very needy so it had been wonderful having the same trusted person caring for him over the years. She has always gone out of her way to make sure he was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I never have to worry when he is with her because I know he is getting the same love and attention he gets at home. If you are looking for someone who will truly care for your pet as if they were her own, I cannot recommend Lori highly enough.

We are so lucky to have found Faith! We have never left Chesney for a week, especially with someone she didn’t know, but she did great. Faith and her family gave Chesney so much love and attention. Faith provided me with daily updates and photos and I could tell Chesney was well taken care of. When I picked up Chesney I could tell she was very comfortable being there. Faith will be our forever sitter as long as she will have Chesney. Thank you Faith and family for being so caring and attentive!!!

This was our first time using Rover, and we were definitely nervous about trusting someone we didn't know with Marley. Thankfully, our experience was wonderful! Marley came home happy, healthy, and clearly well cared for. We loved knowing he had the chance to play with the other dogs during his stay, and it seemed like he had a great time. It gave us so much peace of mind to know he was in good hands. We would absolutely book again and highly recommend this sitter!

Thank you for providing such amazing care for my little Buddy. It was a huge relief knowing that he was in such wonderful hands while we were away on vacation. I was kept up to date on how well he was doing and how much fun he was having. Overall, definitely five plus stars experience. 😊❤️

Mechell was absolutely amazing and took excellent care of our kitten. She took plenty of videos and photos to share with us while we were away. She is very reliable and gets back to you quickly with any questions. We will definitely be coming back whenever we need someone to watch our pets in the future!
Our Molly is a rescue and this was our first time leaving her so we were a bit nervous. After our meet and greet we decided to give Stephen a chance. We were not disappointed. Molly was not only watched but treated like a part of the family. We also received regular pictures and updates showing Molly relaxing and having fun. We are so grateful for the care she was given and plan to have Stephen as our regular sitter.

Izzy is amazing. I knew the moment I met her she would be perfect for my Clarkie. He loved staying with her and was excited to play with new friends. We will definitely use Izzy again. Highly responsible and so loving. Thanks, Izzy for making Clarkies stay fun and giving me peace of mind when leaving him. ❤️

Penny just got home from Paige and Stephen’s and is already sleeping like a baby which I know means she had a great visit. Our deaf senior girl is always comfy in their home and she’s a picky dog. We always miss her when we are apart but never worry about her when she’s with these guys.

Denise was so wonderful with Bebe. She sent daily updates and pictures, was mindful of Bebe's behaviors and triggers, and left Bebe so tired and happy! She went on many walks and made sure Bebe was comfortable in her home. Bebe loved her and we will definitely be seeing Denise again when we leave town! Thank you so much Denise!

Christian is the perfect Rover. Our Smokey dog was well taken care of and we came home to a spotless home after he house-sat. We received daily photos and videos, which was greatly appreciated! Our dog got more than ample play time and attention and we couldn’t have been happier with choosing Christian.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
