“JD and Magdalena are wonderful!! We left our fur baby with them for a week after doing a meet and greet with them and their pups, which was great. We got pictures of her everyday and I could tell she was having a great time. They are super nice people and we def recommend booking with them!!”
“Laura took great care of Scout while I was gone for a week this month. My dog was happy and healthy throughout his visit. He adores Laura. I will definitely book with her again!”

“Brett did a great job watching Nimbus for us! He sent many pics and kept me updated with how Nimbus was doing. He was able to give Nimbus his medication. Nimbus was a happy and tired boy when we brought him home. Thanks Brett!”
About: Hello! Come and hangout with Me, Bella (4yr old chocolate lab), Levii (3yr old Husky) and Hunter (8yr old cat)! I have many years of experience caring for animals as well as worked at a doggy day care previously! My dogs are very energetic so your pet will have a great time. With my large yard and spacious living room there is so much room for your pets to play and lots of toys. I will care for your pet as if they were mine. I have great attention to detail so they will be in good hands. I’m currently off on weekends and Mondays so I’ll have plenty of time to care for your pet throughout those days. My remote days are flexible so availability will be on a per week basis. I have a large fenced in yard and two great dogs that will keep your pet entertained! I have a very friendly cat that naps all day. My large living room allows for plenty of space to play. I live in a very walkable town so walks are easy.
“We appreciate Denise taking our Doodle overnight so we could catch a Giants game in SF. She mades us feel comfortable leaving our girl with her. She has many years of experience, a safe environment and a big grassy backyard so the dogs can run and have fun. We will definetely use her again! Thanks Denise!!”

“We are so grateful to have found Mark who is so convenient and always able to take Molly when we have to travel! She has stayed with him 6 or 7 times now ranging from one night to four nights. She loves his big back yard and curling up in the couch like she does at home. It’s a bonus when he has other dogs there that she instantly makes friends with!”

“My first experience with Rover, communication.was very smooth. Cassie kept in touch with me over the three days she had my cat, sending great photos and updates on how my kitty was adjusting to new surroundings. I adopted my cat age 3 didn't know how she'd be with other animals, and she was fine with Cassies dog and cat.”

“Marissa and her husband are just amazing! Marissa asked great questions about our sweet boy and she is a fantastic listener. She sent fantastic pictures and updates - I can’t say enough about her attention to detail and amazing care of our pup while we were out of town. We will absolutely be using Marissa to watch our boy again and I couldn’t recommend her more! She even gave us the most adorable report card with attached pictures- truly above and beyond!”

“Jean and her husband were so great with our pup! They took really good care of her and sent us updates and pictures every day while we were away. You could tell they really care and gave our fur baby lots of attention and love! It was so nice having peace of mind knowing our girl was well taken care of. Would definitely book with them again!”

“Marisa and Robert are the best sitters. They are extremely caring and provided excellent care for our dog Coco. They provided many photos and kept us informed throughout our trip. We have used Marisa and Robert a few times and Coco recognized them and was excited to stay with them when we dropped him. We will continue to use their services.”

“Shannon was amazing! She came & met my dogs prior to boarding them! They loved her right away! She kept me updated daily with photos & videos! She took them on walks, played & spoiled them while mom was on vaycay! I would def recommend!!”

“I was so anxious when I learned that our five-star Rover sitter, whom we had depended on for the last 4 months, would not be available for our January dates. I didn’t think I would ever find anyone else who would be perfect for us and our pet. How wrong I was! From the moment I met Yessica and saw her beautiful play yard and how she interacted with our Callie, I was at peace. I knew we had found a real jewel. Yessica kept us up to date throughout our pup’s stay, sending photos that demonstrated how happy she was in her new surroundings, living her best life with her new doggy friends, I just picked her up, and honestly, I was afraid she wouldn’t get in the car to come home! I think we have found our new favorite sitter! . Yessica even gave us a magnet with Callie’s photo and a QR code to download photos of her stay. So thoughtful!”

“I cannot say just how pleased we are with Angie, but I’ll try. We wanted to take a weekend trip without our Finn. We love our canine, but it’s nice to travel sans dog every once in a while. I went to Rover because my oldest daughter is a sitter in Maryland. On my VERY FIRST TRY, I found Angie. It was quite the last minute request and Angie and I both went on a wing and a prayer. She is kind, considerate, accommodating, and a genuinely great person. We had only planned on one night but decided to take 2 because we knew Finn was in heaven! She sent pics and communicated throughout the weekend. Rest assured, she is our sitter for life! As I write this, Finn is wiped out, sleeping like a rock because he got dog time and lots of attention. Thanks, Angie. We will start planning our next escape!”
“First time leaving Arlo with Cameron (and his lovely family) and we are very happy to have found a great sitter and dog lover in the area. I highly recommend him. Arlo came home happy and healthy with new friends....human and animal (Angel is a great dog).”

“Kennedi provided great service and took amazing care of our dog. She made sure to keep us up to date with pictures throughout Roxi’s stay. If we are ever in the area again I would for sure book again!”

“They were amazing! Super reliable, friendly, and treated our dog like family. They sent lots of photos and video updates, which gave us such peace of mind. We came home to a very happy pup. Highly recommend!”

“First time leaving my dog with Jennifer and couldn’t be happier. She took such good care of him and and sent pictures while I was away, which made me feel he was in good hands the entire time. She was so accommodating. Thank you so much!”

“Lee was amazing. He sent pictures and videos every day and took great care of Mac. He was very accommodating and went above and beyond when I was running late. Would definitely recommend Lee and will use him again.”

“I left my senior dog with Rick and his family while I went out of town for a week, and I can't thank them enough for taking such good care of her! Rick regularly checked in and sent pictures, and I had piece of mind knowing my girl got plenty of attention while I was away. She had the best time!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Dunedin
Mechell is a lovely woman and she is incredibly reliable. We left our female Siberian cat, 6 years old, in her care for the first time for a 1 week period in July 2026. We were apprehensive because it was the first time we have left our cat with a Rover service. Our experience, and that of our cat, was 100% positive. There was no indication on our return that our beloved cat had experienced undue stress during her stay and we will be boarding her with Mechell again. Mechell was sweet and very good about communicating with us promptly prior, during, and after the stay concerning our cat -- and the interaction between our cat and hers. It was a very positive experience. She sent several photos and updates while our cat was at her home, which was a welcome reassurance that all was well. Thankfully, Mechell has invited our cat back to stay with her whenever we travel subject to availability. I would recommend booking in advance, especially during holiday periods. Thank you, Mechell, for a wonderful experience.

I can't express enough how grateful I am for Heather's incredible care of my two Havanese pups, Percy and Walter! From the moment I met her, I knew my fur babies were in good hands. Heather was not only warm and welcoming but also incredibly responsive, which put my mind at ease while I was away. She kept me updated with adorable photos and messages, showing just how much fun Percy and Walter were having. It was such a joy to see them playing and snuggling in her care! When I picked them up, it was clear they had a fantastic time. They were so happy and well-adjusted, which speaks volumes about Heather’s loving approach. Her attention to detail and genuine love for dogs made all the difference. I can't recommend Heather highly enough! If you're looking for someone who will treat your pets like family, she's the one. Thank you, Heather, for giving Percy and Walter such a wonderful experience! 🐾❤️

I honestly cannot say enough good things about Lori. She has been watching my dog Chewie since 2016. As of this review, it has been 10 years. Never in a million years would I have bet we'd be able to book the same dog sitter through Rover for that long. Our dog has separation anxiety and can be very needy so it had been wonderful having the same trusted person caring for him over the years. She has always gone out of her way to make sure he was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I never have to worry when he is with her because I know he is getting the same love and attention he gets at home. If you are looking for someone who will truly care for your pet as if they were her own, I cannot recommend Lori highly enough.

We are so lucky to have found Faith! We have never left Chesney for a week, especially with someone she didn’t know, but she did great. Faith and her family gave Chesney so much love and attention. Faith provided me with daily updates and photos and I could tell Chesney was well taken care of. When I picked up Chesney I could tell she was very comfortable being there. Faith will be our forever sitter as long as she will have Chesney. Thank you Faith and family for being so caring and attentive!!!

Thank you for providing such amazing care for my little Buddy. It was a huge relief knowing that he was in such wonderful hands while we were away on vacation. I was kept up to date on how well he was doing and how much fun he was having. Overall, definitely five plus stars experience. 😊❤️

Our Molly is a rescue and this was our first time leaving her so we were a bit nervous. After our meet and greet we decided to give Stephen a chance. We were not disappointed. Molly was not only watched but treated like a part of the family. We also received regular pictures and updates showing Molly relaxing and having fun. We are so grateful for the care she was given and plan to have Stephen as our regular sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
