“Kadence was an incredible pet sitter for our fur babies while we were out of town. She visited with them, gave them lots of love along with their meals, and took our dog on adventurous walks and play times in the yard. She sent pictures and notes after every visit. Our finicky cat who wants nothing to do with people sat right on her lap for pets. That's a big thing! We would love to have Kadence watch our pets any time, and highly recommend her services!”

“We had such a great experience with Mia! She took wonderful care of our cats while we were away and gave us so much peace of mind. She was reliable, attentive, and clearly cared about making sure they were comfortable and well looked after. We really appreciated the updates, photos, and the extra love she gave them. It was obvious our cats felt safe and cared for in her hands. Coming home to happy, relaxed cats made all the difference. We would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and dependable pet sitter!”

“Couldn't have asked for a better pet sitter! We have a special needs kitty and other pets as well. She went out of her way to make sure our fur babies were well taken care of in our absence. Jessica loved our pets as much as we do. We highly recommend her and will definitely hire her again!”

“We rebooked Christine because she did such an awesome job the first time. Not only was she detailed oriented she spent time coming by beforehand to see if any of the puppies’ routines have changed. She also took great care of our home and when the puppies had the kinds of accidents puppies have she was kind enough to clean up the house and wash the pee pads. Christine is very loving and caring with our pets and is a wonderful resource for us. Please use Christine., you won’t regret it. In fact you’ll be very happy!”

“Brandi is super punctual and really pays attention to every little detail of any special instructions or care that your particular fur babies need. We are so glad to have found her! We can finally relax and focus on whatever might take us away from our dogs and know that they are getting the same kind of care that we would give them ourselves. Thank you, Brandi!!”

“I could not have been more happy with Brooke. She has taken amazing care of my 18 year old kitty for 2 weeks. I was very nervous about it at 1st but Brooke calmed my fears with daily photos and lots of love for my girl. I will definitely be using Brooke in the future!”

About: I have raised dogs all my life. I also have years of experience with cats, reptiles, and rabbits. I have potty trained many dogs and I’ve even taught my furry friends a few party tricks. Come and see! I work full-time as a school teacher. I am home on Saturdays and Sundays (aside from church) every week. Weekends are the best times to book boarding appointments with me. I am also available during many major holidays. I have a fenced-in backyard. I have three small dogs (under 15 pounds) and cats. I can separate my cats from your pet during the day if needed (as I have a furnished garage that they chill in). I also have a work sink where I can give animals under 20 lbs. baths. I live in a suburban environment in Dunedin, FL and I have extra medium-sized crates.
“Alyssa was wonderful to work with. She followed instructions, communicated clearly and often, and really respected my home. My animals really took a liking to her, as did we! I look forward to using her services in the future.”

“This is the second or third time I have used Brookelynn to take care of my kitty. I have not met her face to face, but my boyfriend has. We are very pleased w the care she provided, her dependability, and feedback after each visit. You can tell she truly loves animals! I will continue to book w her as my needs arise.”

“Alexandra is always our top choice when we need a cat sitter. She always goes above and beyond whether it’s spending extra time, finding creative solutions to give our needy boy his meds, or even literally doing arts and crafts with our cats hahaha. Our cats usually don’t all agree on a person, however they all love Alexandra! I always feel safe and calm knowing she’s there for our cats and family 🥰”

“Valarie is so good with my Peanut! She makes sure to always send me a picture of him on his walk and his smiling face ?. She's also reliable and was able to drop in on him at the last minute. Im glad that Peanut likes her too!”

“Cassie, thank you so much for taking such great care of our kitties! After our horrible experience with our last Rover sitter, we really appreciate the wonderful job you did. You have restored our faith in using Rover.com again! We look forward to booking you again next time we need a cat sitter! Thanks again!”

“This was our first time using Rover and feel very lucky to get Debbie as our care giver. She did a great job with our cats and made us feel so comfortable being away. She spent time with them, gave them lots of love and kept us updated with notes and pictures. We will definitely work with Debbie again!”

“I needed a last minute sitter and Elizabeth came through. My dogs looked happy when I came home and I was able to enjoy my evening knowing my dogs were well cared for. Highly recommend.”

“Danielle always take such care with my boys. They are both old guys and she is very patient and adapts to what she feels like they are up for when she arrives! She’s fantastic!”

“This was my first time leaving my cat and having someone drop by and feed her so I was very nervous. Kasey is the best. I felt very comfortable with leaving my little girl in her care. I just loved all the pictures and videos over the week that I was gone. She definitely went beyond her job and informed me that maintenance left a note on my door stating they had to come in my unit that day and if we had pets they needed to be in a bedroom. She put all of my cats essentials in a bedroom along with her. She made it easy for me to pay for another visit later that day so she could let her out the room. I travel a lot for work and if it’s less than a week that I will be gone I will definitely be using Kasey again. I already scheduled for her to come again next week. Thank you so much for treating my baby as your own.”

Clair is an absolutely wonderful pet sitter! She recently watched our dog and cat while we were away, and we could not be happier with her care. She was incredibly kind, always on time, and our animals absolutely loved her. It gave us total peace of mind knowing our pets were in such great hands. We highly recommend Clair to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving pet sitter!

Went out of town for long weekend, Olga stopped by once a day in the afternoon to check in with my cat Dixie. Sent back pictures and info. everyday. Cat seemed very happy in photos. Just got home little while ago, Dixie seemed fine, like she was well taken care of. Would be very confident for Olga to watch my pet next time I go out of town !!

Debbie watched my cat, Justice, for the 2nd time so far, and she is amazing - she ensured Justice's automatic feeder and water fountain were full and functional, cleaned her litter box, and most importantly, stayed in touch with me each visit. I greatly appreciate how she sends photos and appears to truly care about my cat's wellbeing.

Courtney was a wonderful caretaker for our two cats for a week while we were traveling. She even got our tortoiseshell scaredy-cat who is nervous about everything, especially strangers, to come out of her shell to get plenty of petting, brushing, and play time. Courtney was very communicative and provided lots of detailed updates with pictures. It was so reassuring to know that our cats were being so well taken care of while we were away, by someone they formed a real bond with. We would absolutely recommend Courtney to anyone looking for an enthusiastic and caring person to watch their pets!

This is our second time using Brooke and we are so pleased and appreciative to have found her! She has great communication and is extremely responsive! Our kitties actually come out of hiding for her which is usually rare for both of them! It has been a great experience working with her and would highly recommend!!

Our cat Jada, got to meet Chelsea when we had to leave town unexpectedly. I am a very protective mom because Jada is not a friendly cat, but Chelsea used her purrsuasion to coax her out from under the bed. It worked marvelously because Jada now has a new adopted mom. Jada loved spending time with Chelsea and I think the feeling was mutual. The photos and videos helped me to feel that we had made a good choice for a pet sitter. Jada met her at the door each visit. Chelsea is a blessing. Do I highly recommend her? YES I SURE DO. Thank you for being there Chelsea when I couldn't.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Dunedin. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
