“Kadence was an incredible pet sitter for our fur babies while we were out of town. She visited with them, gave them lots of love along with their meals, and took our dog on adventurous walks and play times in the yard. She sent pictures and notes after every visit. Our finicky cat who wants nothing to do with people sat right on her lap for pets. That's a big thing! We would love to have Kadence watch our pets any time, and highly recommend her services!”

“We rebooked Christine because she did such an awesome job the first time. Not only was she detailed oriented she spent time coming by beforehand to see if any of the puppies’ routines have changed. She also took great care of our home and when the puppies had the kinds of accidents puppies have she was kind enough to clean up the house and wash the pee pads. Christine is very loving and caring with our pets and is a wonderful resource for us. Please use Christine., you won’t regret it. In fact you’ll be very happy!”

“Brandi did a wonderful job taking care of our 13 year old cat with kidney disease. She visited with her before we left town to learn about the medication and fluid administration and to help Zoey get comfortable. She was very patient and kind, and took time to give Zoey lots of love and attention at each visit. Brandi also did a terrific job of keeping us informed about her visits and how Zoey was doing. We are so happy we booked Brandi and will use her whenever we have the opportunity.”

About: I grew up on a farm. We had lots of cats and dogs and other animals. I’ve always had a strong love for cats and dogs. I currently have one tuxedo cat and she loves to play with other kitty cats. I’ve cared for many sick animals given shots and medication multiple times a day when needed and can be in contact with pet owners throughout the day when needed. I am a professional stock photographer and work out of my home so I have lots of time to dedicate to loving your pet. I work from my Home Office studio as a professional stock photographer, and Marketing Consultant . I can be available for pet care at all days and all times. I have a fenced in backyard if needed. If I’m caring for your pet in my home, I do have a fenced in backyard if that is a requirement
“Brooke was amazing and took such good care of our two girls! She made sure they got plenty of play time, gave them treats and took care of the food/bathroom. She even sent pictures with each visit as we were missing our babies! Thank you Brooke!”

“Cassie, thank you so much for taking such great care of our kitties! After our horrible experience with our last Rover sitter, we really appreciate the wonderful job you did. You have restored our faith in using Rover.com again! We look forward to booking you again next time we need a cat sitter! Thanks again!”

About: I have had a pet in my home since I was born. The first dog I remember was Ginger, then PJ, then Sparkie, then Jenna and Millie, Anja and Argus, then Bonnie and Clyde, and now we have our very friendly buddy, Gustav. They ranged from a miniature Schnauzer and Jack Russels to Rottweilers and German Shepherds. My closest friend's dad bred and trained German Shepherds while I was in high school. I was surrounded by a pack most of my life and loved it. I owned a local pup friendly pub for 14 years and made it a point to great every dog that came in. I am hoping for the chance to see some of those dogs again! My current schedule is very flexible, so I can focus on the pet's care when they need it. I understand that different pets require different things at different times and I am able and willing to accommodate with a bit of forewarning. I have a fenced in yard and a very friendly 10 month old puppy who loves new company. He and I go for walks around our neighborhood daily and we do outings to the park a few times a week. I have 2 cats that are indifferent to dogs and they have their own separate space so they can be alone if they want. I deep clean the litter boxes at least twice a week and would be happy to do the same for your kitties at your home. (Access to a hose outside is very helpful for this) I have room for crates and pets are not left outside unattended. I am very vigilant about picking up poop and want to keep a clean yard for the pups to play in.
About: My first job, at age 12, was pet sitting/dog walking. I've had pets my entire life ranging from dogs and cats to rodents, fish, and reptiles. I currently have 4 cats. I have experience with older dogs and cats as well kittens and puppies. I've also spent years working in customer service so no request will be too much. I have plenty of time for walks and playtime. I can keep up whatever routine your pet is used to. I live near a dog park and can take your pup if they like to play with other dogs If your dog doesn't like cats, my cats can easily be kept separate in my room. They spend most of their day sleeping in there anyway

About: I have a greyhound/pitbull/husky named Syd. He is my best friend! Ever since I was little I love taking care of my dogs and other dogs. I am currently available just through the week 9am-2pm and after 6pm. I work at a after school care during the time I am not available. I live in an apartment complex! I usually walk my dog around and he neighborhood to get his energy. He loves other dogs and he is very friendly!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Dunedin
Christine was great when it came to caring for our pets. She sent lots and lots of pictures and made sure to communicate with us during her drop in visits! She also made sure that our Doberman ate his food while we were away due to the dog getting stressed that his parents are gone. Lots of attention and detail goes into her work and we enjoyed her commitment to our Doberman and cats!

Courtney was phenomenal! We had such detailed notes for Jax, and she flowed them great. She sent constant detailed updates, gave lots and lots of chin rubs and provided the care and relief we needed to be able to go away. It’s scary introducing an 18 year old cat to a new person per the first time and we felt safe and comfortable leaving him in her wonderful care. We will certainly use her services again if we ever get another weekend away.

Clair is an absolutely wonderful pet sitter! She recently watched our dog and cat while we were away, and we could not be happier with her care. She was incredibly kind, always on time, and our animals absolutely loved her. It gave us total peace of mind knowing our pets were in such great hands. We highly recommend Clair to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving pet sitter!

Went out of town for long weekend, Olga stopped by once a day in the afternoon to check in with my cat Dixie. Sent back pictures and info. everyday. Cat seemed very happy in photos. Just got home little while ago, Dixie seemed fine, like she was well taken care of. Would be very confident for Olga to watch my pet next time I go out of town !!

Debbie watched my cat, Justice, for the 2nd time so far, and she is amazing - she ensured Justice's automatic feeder and water fountain were full and functional, cleaned her litter box, and most importantly, stayed in touch with me each visit. I greatly appreciate how she sends photos and appears to truly care about my cat's wellbeing.

This is our second time using Brooke and we are so pleased and appreciative to have found her! She has great communication and is extremely responsive! Our kitties actually come out of hiding for her which is usually rare for both of them! It has been a great experience working with her and would highly recommend!!

Our cat Jada, got to meet Chelsea when we had to leave town unexpectedly. I am a very protective mom because Jada is not a friendly cat, but Chelsea used her purrsuasion to coax her out from under the bed. It worked marvelously because Jada now has a new adopted mom. Jada loved spending time with Chelsea and I think the feeling was mutual. The photos and videos helped me to feel that we had made a good choice for a pet sitter. Jada met her at the door each visit. Chelsea is a blessing. Do I highly recommend her? YES I SURE DO. Thank you for being there Chelsea when I couldn't.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Dunedin. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
