“Mia was amazing. She was very respectful and caring to our cats. She even went above and beyond to ensure our family members were happy and well taken care of. When we go out of town, Mia is the first person we are booking!”

“Alyssa was amazing! She took great care of our three cats, two of which are special needs. She spent quality time making sure they were well fed, cleaned up after, exercised, and loved. Our special needs boys make quite a mess and she endured everything was pristine! I would highly recommend Alyssa! We hope to schedule with her on future trips!”

“We had a great experience with Alexis! She took wonderful care of our cat and followed all of our instructions perfectly. We really appreciated the updates and photos, they gave us peace of mind while traveling. We would definitely book her again and highly recommend her to others!”

“We were so happy to have Kyleigh take care of our cats while we were away! She was punctual, dependable, and clearly so caring with them. We would absolutely trust her with our pets again and highly recommend her! ❤️”

“Aditi responded quickly, was communicative, and receptive to all my needs and requests. I needed help taking care of my kitties and bunny during a busy workweek and Aditi was a lifesaver! Thank you! :)”

“I cannot say enough positive things about Kasey. My dog is a rescue we found living in a dumpster only four months ago. I was so nervous about going out of town because he doesn't like strangers and is very anxious. Kasey is a total professional who was able to quickly bond with my dog, and kept me informed every step of the way on how Taco's visits were going and how he was behaving. I missed my dog, but thanks to the excellent care Kasey provided, I never once worried about him.”

“Deedra, was extremely helpful and went out of her way to do a few extra things that were needed and wanted. She worked with my dog originally a bit skittish with new people and won her over. She was persistent, super friendly and very understanding, and I would recommend her to anyone.”

“Kristen went above and beyond for my Bruno! And she did it on short notice and a holiday none the less. Couldn't be more thankful for her dropping in. I will ask for her again!!”

“Cassie, thank you so much for taking such great care of our kitties! After our horrible experience with our last Rover sitter, we really appreciate the wonderful job you did. You have restored our faith in using Rover.com again! We look forward to booking you again next time we need a cat sitter! Thanks again!”

About: Hi! My name is Emily and I’m getting ready to go to graduate school and have some free time right now! I grew up with cats and dogs, regularly watch my friends Bernadoodle, and would love to be a sitter for your pet! I’m currently not working, as I am starting Graduate school in a few weeks and have plenty of free time! I am very flexible for drop ins and walks! I give the dog plenty of love and attention, make sure that they get some play time in, and make sure to take them out regularly. I am experienced with dogs as I watch my friends dog regularly and also grew up around dogs and cats. I’ll make sure to lock everything up and follow the pet owners requests as each dog has different routines and needs!

About: I have been around / taken care of animals since I first opened my eyes it seems.. no but I did grow up on a farm actually. When I was 8 my dad got me a pony named peanut. My parents have never gone without having 2-3 dogs at all times. Not only that, I babysat, dog sat, and house sat all throughout high school and college. Still at it and I love it. Working with animals comes easy for me. I’ve done and seen it all. I also have years of experience working with special needs of all ages, even traveled to different states as their guide along trips. Ive gone on deep sea fishing trips with disabled veterans and their pets. Anyway, enough about me! Can’t wait to meet you all! ————- Let me know if you have any questions. I typically do 15-20 min meet and greets which are scheduled upon request before booking. Making space for your fur babe to feel comfortable safe and connected is important, so don’t worry I will make plenty of time in order to do so while checking in with you once or twice a day. Sharing photos and videos in between. I usually play calming music on the tv throughout the day and assure they can relax and trust that they are in safe hands. I know it takes a few days. They have plenty of space in the yard as well to interact with wildlife, play, relax, etc.
About: My first job, at age 12, was pet sitting/dog walking. I've had pets my entire life ranging from dogs and cats to rodents, fish, and reptiles. I currently have 4 cats. I have experience with older dogs and cats as well kittens and puppies. I've also spent years working in customer service so no request will be too much. I have plenty of time for walks and playtime. I can keep up whatever routine your pet is used to. I live near a dog park and can take your pup if they like to play with other dogs If your dog doesn't like cats, my cats can easily be kept separate in my room. They spend most of their day sleeping in there anyway
“So sweet and responsive. Has done great with the dogs and is very kind and patient towards them. She was very understanding of my dog’s reactivity and we worked together to find a solution where everyone was comfortable. This has been a such a relief knowing I have someone set up to watch the pups even for just a little bit during the day.”

I am able to leave work 1-2 times/day to let a pup out! I have had dogs and dog and cat sat all my life and confidently know how to care for them in both my home or yours!

Clair is an absolutely wonderful pet sitter! She recently watched our dog and cat while we were away, and we could not be happier with her care. She was incredibly kind, always on time, and our animals absolutely loved her. It gave us total peace of mind knowing our pets were in such great hands. We highly recommend Clair to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving pet sitter!

This was the second time I used Aleksandra and I was away for over 2 weeks. While I missed my kitty profoundly, I knew he was in great hands and being well cared for. I got daily updates with many pics of my boy playing and spending time in his favorite outside space. Aleksandra is a wonderful communicator and even brought to my attention a potential health problem that has me visiting my vet to check him out very soon. Don't hesitate to book Aleksandra. She truly is a cat whisperer.

We had a great experience with Alexis! She took wonderful care of our cat and followed all of our instructions perfectly. We really appreciated the updates and photos, they gave us peace of mind while traveling. We would definitely book her again and highly recommend her to others!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
