“I’ve had the pleasure of booking her every single time I need someone to take care of my two fur babies. She does an amazing job every time. She consistently follows directions, is always punctual, and communicates exceptionally well. If for any reason she can’t make it at the scheduled time, she always reaches out ahead of time to explain the situation and check whether the adjustment works for me. I truly appreciate the communication more than anything else. I especially appreciate how accommodating she is when last-minute situations come up. She’s always willing to work around changes to make sure my pets are still cared for. Even when I give her plenty of notice in advance, she keeps it in mind and is always happy to help. I’ve continuously booked with her because she’s the first person I think of whenever I need someone reliable to care for my pets, and I fully plan to keep booking with her going forward.”

About: As a devoted pet sitter, I bring enthusiasm, care, and reliability to every pet | look after. With a strong sense of responsibility and a genuine passion for pets, I ensure your friend feels happy, safe, and well-cared for while you're away. Your pet's comfort and well-being are always my top priorities. I work from home and I have exceptional flexibility for pet sitting, house sitting and dog walking services. I can easily adapt to your pet's specific schedule, whether they need midday walks, morning care, or evening cuddles. My work setup enables me to provide consistent attention and timely care, ensuring your furry friend feels loved and secure throughout the day. I'm available to accommodate last-minute changes or special requests, making your pet's happiness and well-being my priority. I currently do not offer pet sitting in my home. I'm happy to provide care in your home or offer other services such as drop-in visits and dog walking, depending on your needs.
About: I have raised dogs all my life. I also have years of experience with cats, reptiles, and rabbits. I have potty trained many dogs and I’ve even taught my furry friends a few party tricks. Come and see! I work full-time as a school teacher. I am home on Saturdays and Sundays (aside from church) every week. Weekends are the best times to book boarding appointments with me. I am also available during many major holidays. I have a fenced-in backyard. I have three small dogs (under 15 pounds) and cats. I can separate my cats from your pet during the day if needed (as I have a furnished garage that they chill in). I also have a work sink where I can give animals under 20 lbs. baths. I live in a suburban environment in Dunedin, FL and I have extra medium-sized crates.
“David help us out last minute after other sitter bailed on us the day before our vacation. David was very responsive. He took care of our 2 dogs without any issues. We will definitely book David again!”
“This was our first time using Caitlin and let me tell you she put all of our worries about leaving out 2 dogs at ease. She took excellent care of both dogs while we were away. She spaced the visits perfectly and gave both dogs so much love. She is wonderful and we definitely will be using her again. Thank you Caitlin!!”

“Courtney was great. My cats didn't hide when she came over they seemed to really like her. I appreciated the photo updates that she sent me. I will definitely ask her to watch them on my next getaway.”

About: I have been pet sitting and walking for a decade now and have my own pets. I can handle small and big dogs as well as young and old dogs. I go at their speed with a gentle push so we get some distance in too. I work from home most days and that allows a flexible schedule to get plenty of play time and walks in throughout the day or I care for them like my own and cuddle as much as possible if they like that. If not we just chill and keep each other company
“Brian did so great with our Zoey and we will definitely be booking him again. He was super nice and communicative while I was gone. This was a last minute booking and he still took time to meet us abs Zoey before we left. Thank you so much Brian!!! People like you make it easy to travel and have to leave you fur child behind.”

“Carson took great care of my kitties while I was out of town on Vacation. She kept clear communication with updates and photos. Coming home and seeing them in great spirits was a blessing to see, truly. Thank you Carson!!!”

“Prompt, helpful and reliable. Our dog in the past gets the blues when we leave and has historically refused food while we're gone, but under Zachary's care she seemed well fed and content. Thank you!”

“Valarie is so good with my Peanut! She makes sure to always send me a picture of him on his walk and his smiling face ?. She's also reliable and was able to drop in on him at the last minute. Im glad that Peanut likes her too!”

“Kelli is an amazing sitter for our 3 cats! She follows all of our detailed instructions well, is very communicative and quick to let us know of any issues or concerns, very thoughtful if any problem solving is needed, and sends us great thorough updates and lots of pictures so we can see how our babies are doing while we are away! We will continue to work with Kelli as long as she will have us during any of our pet care needs! We would highly recommend Kelli to anyone, especially those looking for folks who are caring and considerate of cats needs, which can be quite different than those of other furry friends.”

It's easy for me to do walks in the morning and evening and night time and but I am able to board any time of the week as my boyfriend is able to help as well. Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Clearwater
Caitlin went absolutely above and beyond to manage our medically complicated and *spicy* senior kitty. Her care, communication, and ability to pivot to do what was necessary to handle our cat’s care was so professional and put me at ease while 1,000 miles away from home.
Kristin took care of our kitties Poody and Ozzy while we were on a European cruise and we couldn’t have asked for anyone more dependable and compassionate! She sent detailed updates, great photos every day, brought in our mail and watered our new container gardens. We were at such ease knowing both kitties were being loved and our home was being checked on daily, while we were out of the country. Kristin loves animals and we will definitely use her again soon! 🩵

This is our second time using Brooke and we are so pleased and appreciative to have found her! She has great communication and is extremely responsive! Our kitties actually come out of hiding for her which is usually rare for both of them! It has been a great experience working with her and would highly recommend!!

Nycol took care of my cats for two weeks over the holidays, and it was such a relief knowing they were in great hands. She checked in consistently, made sure they got their meds, and truly cared for them. I was completely worry-free and will always trust her with my babies!

Hailey took such great care of my cat. Though I'm not planning anymore trips right away, i will definitely rebook her. I highly recommend her! My cat is super shy with new people, but with Hailey, they were fast friends and my kitty absolutely loved her. I'm so thankful that I found her.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Clearwater. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
