“Jennifer is the cat whisper and gives total devotion to your pet. Words cant express the enjoyment in my heart when they bonded and I knew after the first day of just meet n grèet she was in great hands. Thank you so much.”

“Brooke was very kind, positive, and communicated well with texts and photos, which allowed us to enjoy our vacation with peace of mind. The pets were well taken care of.”

“Jason was wonderful, patient with our anxious dogs. We lost both our sitters as they moved. So we’re working on finding new sitters. At first our little one was very scared and vicious.. Jason gave him treats and won him over in no time. He just stayed the day, but definitely call him again. He’s definitely a dog whisperer.👍💜🐾”

“Taylor and Bruno are great exceptional dog sitters. They were prompt and communicative from scheduling the meetup to staying on track with my puppers needs along with updates. I opted for an in house sitter for a short staycation since my dog gets anxious with quick changes and they were super respectful and left my place better than they found it. Would definitely recommend them!”

“10/10 for another stay with Stephanie! I got so many updates and pictures of my sweet babies while away! She went above and beyond! Always made sure they had fresh food and water and ample love!! Even did laundry before she left! Cannot recommend Stephanie enough! If you are looking for someone to not only care for your animals but also your home - book with Stephanie!”

“Hailey is the best! She handled our wild husky so well! She provided us with updates, pictures, and kept us at ease during our trip! She is so nice and courteous and treated our home with care! It’s great to know we have someone we can trust our dog and home with!! Will def be using her again!”

“Mary did a wonderful job caring for our Coco! Coco is 14 years old Shih Tzu and is on 2 medications and is very particular with his food. She took extra care and followed directions perfectly!! We have already scheduled her for another visit for a longer time. Thank you so much Mary!! 🐾🐶”

About: I have walked different sized and aged dogs while volunteering at the Humane Society. I love high energy dogs because they help make sure I get my exercise for the day 🙂 I strive to provide the best care and give the most time to your dogs. I create plans based on your dog's needs and not vice versa. I know it's important to make sure dogs stay happy while in my care. I monitor your dog's health and update you as soon as I see anything out of the ordinary to ensure everything is running smoothly. I currently work part time. It's easy for me to do walks in the morning and evening and night time and but I am able to board any time of the week as my boyfriend is able to help as well. I have a large fenced yard and live in a quiet street and neighborhood. There is plenty of space to rest and relax and to go for long walks together.
“Anthony was great! Took good care of a Denver with lots of walks and trips to our dog park. Very easy to communicate with him , it was nice to know Denver was in good hands. He even sent pictures everyday of her!”

“Liz watched my two dogs and housesat while I was away for four days. I received pictures of my dogs twice a day and everything went smoothly. The dogs enjoyed their time while I was away so I did not worry for one second. I certainly will continue to use Liz and my dogs agree.”

About: I have taken care of dogs, cats and even exotics ever since I was a child. My major in college was Biology and my first job out of college was a Zoo Keeper. I then became a dolphin trainer working and training several types of dolphins, river otters and pelicans. The past two years I have been a Vet Technician working at a large animal hospital. Animals are my passion in life so any chance I get to be around them, I will! I am currently a full time student again and also working four days a week. Any free time I get I enjoy getting outside or relaxing. I am mainly free on week nights and some days depending on class schedule. I will not be watching pets in my own home due to having a cat myself that gets stressed around other animals in his own space. I will watch other's pets at their home and follow their instructions as given.

About: I've taken care of multiple dogs at once at a doggy daycare and I'm comfortable working with big and small dogs. I'm good at taking high-energy dogs on walks. I am available every Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday all day long. I am available during the morning and afternoon on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Whether it's going for walks, playing in the backyard or sitting together, I'm used to being around lots of dogs with different needs and work on making sure they are comfortable and happy.
“Jazmine was great! She took really good care of our dog and everything was clean and tidy when we got back from our trip. She also gave us regular updates with pictures. We will definitely ask her to sit for us again!”
About: Ive been taking care of cats & dogs since I was 10 years old, I understand the want for you baby's to be safe and well cared for. I have volunteered at animal hospitals, shelters and rescues since I was 14 and I truly have a love and passion for taking care of the furry creatures of the world. I am currently working a part time job, so I will have plenty of time to play and take care of your baby. I have every Tuesday and Wednesday off, and I only work 4-6 hours at time. I unfortunately cannot board your animal at my house but I am more than willing to come to your house to take care of your pets. :)
“Jennifer was awesome! She took such good care of my Maggie while I was away during Christmas to visit family. She sent me pictures everyday and told me what they did that day (without me even asking). That was so nice! She told me that Maggie went for a long walk everyday in addition to her being taken out several times a day for potty breaks. It was only 5 days but I swear Maggie lost at least a pound or two! (which she really needs) I was so nervous about leaving Maggie with a stranger but Jennifer was so nice and easy going. She let me come over to meet her and see her house (which was so clean and nice and comfortable I wanted to live there! lol) and her screened in porch. She listened carefully to all of my special instructions about food and medicine and all of Maggie's idiosyncrasies. (and there were alot lol) She was very patient with us! After meeting her I was able to relax because I really felt like I had someone to trust my baby with! I enjoyed my time with family without worry and that is priceless! (I worry about everything!) Thank you Jennifer! I am so grateful and I will definitely contact you next time we get to travel!”

About: I grew up on a farm. We had lots of cats and dogs and other animals. I’ve always had a strong love for cats and dogs. Kristin was amazing, great daily updates and follow up and all four of our pets fell in love with her. We will definitely book her again. Seeing how well taken care of and how happy and engaged they were with her made being away from them a worry free experience. Book her; you won’t regret it!

Brooke was wonderful! Our initial visit made us extremely comfortable leaving our babies in her care! She updated us often with lots of photos, and updates! She left our home tidy, and just how we left it! I commend her, because even when she had a difficult family situation, she continued to give our babies the love they needed while we were away!

Madison went above and beyond during her stay at my house. Communication was great, she sent so many pictures and videos. I know my dog Nash had a great week with her and got so many cuddles. She left my house better than she found it. I highly recommend her for any service!

Cindy did a wonderful job taking care of Bailey and Lulu! She sent lots of pictures and made sure they were happy, loved, and well cared for. I could tell they got plenty of cuddles and attention. She also took care of everything while I was away, which gave me such peace of mind. I’ve been using this app for over three years, and Cindy is by far the best sitter I’ve found. I’ll definitely be booking her again for my next vacation. Highly recommend!

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 3,718 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Clearwater. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Clearwater walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Clearwater maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Clearwater choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Clearwater. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
