“Samantha is the first sitter I’ve found on Rover that felt like I was just bringing him to a family friend’s home where he would be treated just like he is at his own home. Communication was above and beyond. I’m so glad I found her and I think my pup won’t be sad the next time we have to leave! Thank you so much for taking such great care of my sweet boy! I’ll definitely be rebooking next time!”

“Kristin was absolutely AMAZING! She provided the best service I’ve had thus far. Upon arrival she was ready to go with a list she wrote down of everything important listed on our profile. I could not have asked for anything more from her! She updated me with a breakdown of what they did that day and shared some photos of my dog. I am extremely grateful I found her and would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking for stability, reassurance and great communication while you’re away from your pup! 🐶”

“Sydney was awesome! She did a great job keeping me updated with pictures and was ever accommodating when our flight was delayed. My pup also got a little sick during his stay and Sydney went out of her way to change up his diet and provide constant updates. Your pet is in safe hands with Sydney! Would definitely book again! Thank you!”

“J'Quan was an amazing boarder! He was communicative, accommodating of an emergency at pickup, and was great with my bulldog, Max. Max came home clean, happy, and healthy, and I'd definitely have J'Quan keep him again.”

“My dog, Roxie, came home from Jessica's yesterday and slept hard. This tells me that she had a really fun time with Jessica and her dog, Cooper. I highly recommend Jessica and wish she wasn't moving away. Thanks for a great stay, Jessica!”

“Billy was an excellent sitter for the two weeks I went away on vacation. I appreciate the pics he sent of Shadow, because I missed him dearly. It was nice being able to travel without worrying about my Shadow. I highly recommend Billy.”

“This was the first time I have ever had to leave our puppy girl with someone else so of course I had anxiety over it. Lindsay and her family were absolutely wonderful. From updates and pictures I was so at ease that my baby girl was in great hands. I will definitely use her again for a puppy sitter.”

“Teri was a great sitter! We were visiting out of town and she took care of our dog. She was very careful and always informed us of the well being with pictures and gave status on how our dog was doing. I highly recommend her!”

“Kolin and Adam are so incredible! We went out of country for 2 weeks over Christmas and New Years. We interviewed several pet sitters and companies but none of them compare to Kolin and Adam caring for our two dogs Nora and Copper. They messaged us on a consistent time, they shared lots of photos and updates. It was so easy to trust them and not worry. Our dogs were so happy to lounge out the couch, watch tv with them, and run in the yard. We are so lucky and grateful to have found them. Highly recommend these two gentleman! A huge Thank you Kolin and Adam for your support over the holidays!”

About: What sets me apart is the amount of hands-on experience I’ve built over time. I’ve been caring for my neighbors’ dogs in my hometown for the past 10 years, so I’m very comfortable with different breeds, personalities, and routines. I also grew up dogs of my own, which taught me early on how to be attentive, patient, and responsive to a dog’s needs. Because of that experience, I’m especially good with both energetic younger dogs who need structure and play, as well as older dogs who require a gentler, more patient approach. I pay close attention to each pet’s behavior and comfort level, and I always aim to make them feel safe, relaxed, and cared for while you’re away. I am a full time dog sitter/walker so I have plenty of time to give your pets care and attention they need to make them feel safe and at home. When caring for pets, I always try to keep their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. In a client’s home, I follow their usual schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions so pets feel comfortable in their familiar environment. I make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and affection, while also keeping their space clean and secure. If I’m caring for pets in my home, I create a safe, calm environment where they can relax and feel at ease. I monitor them closely, keep a regular feeding and potty schedule, and provide lots of playtime and companionship. I’m also mindful of each pet’s personality, whether they’re high-energy and need extra activity or more laid back and prefer a quieter space. Overall, I focus on making sure every pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for, just like they would with their own family.
“Norma was amazing with my two French Bulldogs. They had the time of their lives! They’re already missing all the fun they had while staying with her. She kept me updated with pictures so I could see all the fun they were having. I’m someone who usually worries constantly about my 2 pups, but was very comfortable with Norma since she has so much experience with dogs plus always kept me up to date. I was able to enjoy my vacation with no worries and they got their own little vacation! 😊”

“Liz and Bryan were great with Stella! We got photos and updates daily and they made sure she was comfortable. Stella also loved their dog, Rocky. We’ll definitely be back!”

“Elyse took our dog Buttercup last minute when our plans changed. She kept her for five days. She communicated quickly with any questions I had and sent me updates. Buttercup was very well cared for and seemed very content and comfortable when we picked her up. I would not hesitate to leave her there again. Her and her husband and son are obvious animal lovers.”

“Erica is very attentive and in-tune with the dogs. She noticed and commented on their patterns and personalities which she could only do if she actually cares and pays attention. Nice to see someone else enjoy them as much as I do. :)”

“If you are looking for an amazing dog sitter you have found the one. Vasti makes sure your dog is having the best time and will send you daily updates while you are away. She really made sure my dog Maverick was having his own little vacation. I will definitely be using her in the future and highly recommend her services. Thank you Vasti!”

“Stephanie’s the best! My dog Oki is old and he hasn’t been with anyone else but me. He had a little bit of separation anxiety and Stephanie made him feel loved and cared for. She was patient with him and Oki finally felt safe in someone else’s care. We definitely would go back to her in a heartbeat.”

“Peggy was awesome!!! She was so nice to Bowie and let him be the “people” dog he is. Sitting in chairs and napping on the sofa. Peggy was very calm and attentive as Bowie can be quite active and likes to get into things. Her back yard is spacious and very well Set up for doggies. We will definitely have Peggy watch Bowie again. Highly recommend.!”

“Rooster had a wonderful time! He was all happy wiggles and smiles when I picked him up. Super convenient location as well, and he enjoyed his time with Julie and Brian's awesome pup ☺️ Will use them next time!”
“Kristy provided a great and worry free stay for my dog Mia! I am always nervous using new Rovers, as Mia has become dog reactive, but Kristy followed my instructions and continued with positive reinforcement training so Mia can continue to make progress. As such, she had no negative reactions to other dogs on walks during her stay! Kristy also provided me with a daily photo and update each morning to check in. She lives in a lovely, quiet and walkable neighborhood and her kids were gentle and clearly very comfortable with dogs. I would absolutely recommend Kristy and will be re-booking with her again in the future!”

Kennedi took great care of my Teacup Yorki with at least two walks a day and she even gave him a bath. He was very comfortable with her and had no problems, and she sent me photos and/or a video every day. There was no problem communicating with her and she responded quickly to my texts. I'd be happy to recommend her to anyone, especially to those with small or midsized dogs.

Nancy was amazing with my nervous rescue fur baby. She helped her feel comfortable and really well cared for, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She sent photos and stayed in touch, so I always felt confident my dog was in great hands. I’d definitely have Nancy watch her again—highly recommend!

Kristen was most accommodating to my last minute requirement for a pup sitter. She was very communicative and sent me pics of my pup throughout her 2 day stay. I got delayed due to construction and rain so I ran late getting back. Kristen was most understanding as I kept in contact to keep her apprised of my ETA. My pup wad happy to see me and looked very well cared for while I was away. I highly recommend Kristen if you need a dog sitter as she is amazing. Thank you again, Kristen!

Jason took such great care of our Poppy. He is attentive to detail and a great communicator. He sent updates and pics of our girl. He also let us do a meet n greet beforehand. He and his wife are true dog lovers and it was so reassuring knowing our girl was happy while we were away. I’m so happy to have found Jason!

My two Corgis just spent a wonderful week in Norma's care. She is the best! The dogs had lots of attention and a chance to run outdoors. And I received lots of lovely photos with them having a good time, including some action shots of running full speed! I will definitely book them with Norma the next time I travel
We have always been so pleased with Yessica and her wonderful care of our Callie, so we had no qualms about booking her for a two-week stay. As always, Yessica provided us with daily reports and photos and responded quickly when I reached out to her. The icing on the cake today was that Yessica gave Callie a bath before I picked her up! She was squeaky clean and adorned with a festive bandana. So happy to have such a pleasant, reliable, and loving sitter for our little girl.

Mechell is a lovely woman and she is incredibly reliable. We left our female Siberian cat, 6 years old, in her care for the first time for a 1 week period in July 2026. We were apprehensive because it was the first time we have left our cat with a Rover service. Our experience, and that of our cat, was 100% positive. There was no indication on our return that our beloved cat had experienced undue stress during her stay and we will be boarding her with Mechell again. Mechell was sweet and very good about communicating with us promptly prior, during, and after the stay concerning our cat -- and the interaction between our cat and hers. It was a very positive experience. She sent several photos and updates while our cat was at her home, which was a welcome reassurance that all was well. Thankfully, Mechell has invited our cat back to stay with her whenever we travel subject to availability. I would recommend booking in advance, especially during holiday periods. Thank you, Mechell, for a wonderful experience.

Delta had an amazing time! It was our first time leaving him with someone other than a family member and we felt that he was in great hands! We received updates while we were gone and even a couple photos. Delta had so much fun with the other dogs! Great sitters!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
