“I can’t say enough positive things about Dan and Terry. My boys had a great time. I had no worries. They sent pictures and notes and it was just awesome. They went way above and beyond. And I certainly appreciate them very much. It’s so wonderful to be able to take a few days to go on vacation and feel confident that your dogs will be happy and healthy and very well cared for thank you again so very much. We have already rebooked with them for September”

“Susan took wonderful care of our dog. We arranged a meet and greet a few weeks before and I instantly knew my dog would be in good hands. Susan sent photos each day she was with my dog and kept me informed of how she was doing. This was my first experience using Rover and I will definitely book Susan again.”

“Greg was so great with our two dogs. We love that he has a special room just for the pups that stay with him and a large backyard for them to play and run off some energy. He also was very good about sending us daily updates of photos and video. We picked up our dogs and that were clean and happy and we will absolutely be having our dogs stay with Greg again in the future.”

“Cara is the best!! I had my dogs stay with her and her fiancé for 6 nights. She sent pictures and updates daily. My dogs were super comfortable with her and her dog, Lola. Cara has a large, fenced backyard which made my dogs the happiest! I will definitely book with Cara again.”

“Alli is wonderful. She is great sending pictures and keeping me updated! Bella loves staying with her and Mack. Every time I drop her off, she can’t wait to get inside to play”

“We love Leigh!! She is not only an amazing dog sitter, but an amazing person!! She has watched our pups quite a few times now and is SO good with them. They love having sleepovers at her house!! We are so thankful for her.”

“Nastasia was simply wonderful with our four legged family member! She was prompt to reply to messages and questions, and from the photos we received daily, she clearly treated our pooch like one of her own fury family members! We will definitely book with Nastasia again!!”

“It was our first time using Rover and a friend recommended Vasti. Our puppy, Haven, was boarded for 5 days and had a wonderful time. Vasti and Bryan took great care of her and sent updates with pictures and videos frequently. We are so grateful for finding you and knowing Haven is well cared for when we are away. We look forward to boarding with you again in the future!”

“I'm so glad I found Brittany to watch my 2 chihuahuas! She has a backyard which they loved and she sent me updates while I was gone. One of my chihuahuas is 15 so she needs some extra care and attention, and Brittany was able to give her that. I'll definitely be using her again!”

About: Over my life I have had many dogs from pup to senior. Dogs of any age are special, and I love to care for and spoil them with my love! I work from home and enjoy taking time outside in my fenced in yard, perfect for any dog. Any established routine will be respected and maintained! Any dog that stays at our home is considered family and loved as such. Any medication, dietary, or cuddle needs are manageable! I am open to meet and greets so you can see the space where your doggo will hang with me and my family!
“My normal pet sitter could no longer watch my dog, so I was nervous about using Rover and having a stranger watch my dog. James was able to step up last minute and even handle my dog’s special medical needs. We received pictures every day and he was super responsive. I highly recommend him.”

“Dian was incredible. Sunny actually went to another house with cats that kept swatting and hissing at him. He was already timid with animals so was skiddish and freaked out. We were in a bind with no animals allowed at our condo so Dian took him in very last minute. Dian had SUCH a calming atmosphere and home. She was patient with him and so was her super friendly pup. Sunny ended up relaxing and had the best time. Felt right at home. She was the absolute best sitter and I will use her any time I’m town. I would give her 10 stars if possible.”

“She took excellent care of our standard poodle and our kitty while we were away. Great communication and she also administered medication to our cat. Not an easy feat. Would definitely recommend her and have her sit for us again.”

“This is was my first time using a sitter for my puppy and Cynthia was amazing! She sent me photos, reassured me, and treated my tsuki like she was part of the family. I will definitely be requesting her again.”

About: I’m an experienced pet sitter and lifelong animal lover who has cared for both dogs and cats for many friends, family members and neighbors over the years. I’m also a dog mom to two large breeds, a Golden Retriever and a Husky, so I’m very comfortable with big dogs, strong personalities and higher-energy breeds. I work from home, which means your pet will have plenty of company, attention and potty breaks throughout the day instead of being left alone for long stretches. I understand that every animal has their own personality, routine and comfort level, and I’m happy to follow the schedule and care instructions that help them feel most at home. I’m also comfortable caring for senior pets and animals who need medication or extra patience. One of my dogs has epilepsy, so I have experience giving daily medication, monitoring health needs and staying calm when a pet needs additional care. My three-bedroom home also gives me the flexibility to provide a separate, quiet space when needed, along with a white-noise machine to help pets settle in. Whether your pet wants walks, playtime, cuddles or space to decompress, I’ll treat them with the same care and attention I give my own. I work from home full-time, so pet care fits naturally into my everyday routine. I’m available throughout the day for regular potty breaks, meals, walks, playtime, medication and plenty of attention. My own dogs are already part of my daily schedule, so caring for an additional pet doesn’t feel like an interruption—it simply means one more animal to include in our routine. Because I’m home most of the day, pets won’t be left alone for long stretches. I can also adjust my schedule based on their normal routine, energy level and individual needs. Safety and comfort are my top priorities. In my home, I take introductions slowly and supervise interactions with my own dogs to make sure everyone feels comfortable. I have a three-bedroom home, so visiting pets can have their own quiet space if they need time to decompress, eat separately or simply relax away from the other animals. I also have a white-noise machine to help nervous pets settle in. I carefully follow each pet’s normal routine, feeding instructions, medication schedule and any household rules provided by their owner. I keep doors secure, monitor pets during outdoor time and never force interaction between animals. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat their space with respect and make sure their pet receives consistent, attentive care in the environment where they feel most comfortable. I’m happy to provide updates and photos so owners can feel confident that their pet is safe, comfortable and well cared for.

“Jennifer was very nice and sweet with Morena. To me also a "life saver" since she took my last minute request very fast. She seems to have a lot of experience and also sent pictures during the whole stay.”
“My family and I couldn’t be happier with the care Jonathan provided for Bolt. We truly appreciated the regular updates, messages, and pictures! it gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that Bolt was not only well taken care of but also having a great time (he even found his “twin brother” there, which made it even more special!). We’re so grateful for the love and attention Jonathan gave him, and we would absolutely trust him again in the future.”

“Jennifer was fantastic! She watched our 10 month old puppy for the first time while we had a date night. Every thing went great! It was so comforting to know he was in a safe, happy environment. Thank you also to Tammy, Fuzz and Hannah for making Mack feel welcome! He already misses you guys. We will definitely be going back when we go on vacation.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Seminole
Hana was an AMAZING sitter for Sandy. We almost had to cancel our family vacation because she had a bad skin infection or allergies needing meds multiple times a day and wear a cone. Our family couldn’t accommodate the extra needs for her but Hana could! She took amazing care of Sandy, every day photos of her showing her happier and healthier as the week went on and she looked so pleased in her cozy surroundings. So grateful to Hana for saving the summer vacation! Will definitely be using her again.

They are a lovely couple who took excellent care of my dogs while we were on a somewhat stressful vacation. While I was sleeping in a non air conditioned bedroom during a heatwave, with a fractured elbow, my dogs spent a luxury week poolside and enjoying foot massages and beautiful snacks. It’s a wonder that they were willing to get in the car and come home afterwards. I highly recommend booking a stay for your pet.

Our Shih Pooh Harper’s first vacation away and he came home ready for a long nap! No issues. He’s happy to be back home as you would expect, but I think he was looking around our house today for his new friends. I think we’ll find another weekend adventure and send him to stay with Brian and Betty Ann again.

Champ and Cocoa loved their extended stay with Carley. They were happy, healthy when we picked them up. They are now sleeping it out. We appreciated Carley’s care since Champ needs several medications and goggles when walking in the sun. We wouldn’t hesitate to use Carley next trip we take…

Tucker had the best time with Walter and Athena! He took such good care of our boy when we were gone for the week that Tucker actually misses them!! He was sad the next day that he didn’t wake up with his new dog friend! Will always choose this sitter for all of our future needs! Communication was 5 star! Walter was super accommodating with all of our needs with drop off and pick up! And he was sure to send pictures everyday and give us updates! Thank you Walter and Athena!!

Sadie had a great time staying at Marhartya’s home where they took wonderful care of her. We received daily updates and pics and which gave us peace of mind. When we picked Sadie up, it was obvious that she there was a bond. We will definitely be booking with them again!

Gina and her husband Mike were great, and took excellent care of our Teacup Yorki, Misha. They send several updates with photos and videos while we were on our trip, and it was clear that Misha was totally comfortable with them. I'd be happy to use Gina's services whenever we need to fly somewhere, I know I'll be able to trust that our Misha will be in good hands and loved while we're away. Thanks, Gina!

Chelsea and her husband Alex are excellent pet sitters. I have used them many times to take care of my beloved shihtzu, and I know she's in good hands while I'm gone. I always receive daily pictures and communication. I highly recommend them if you need someone to care for your fur baby!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
