“Mr James was a lifesaver today and extremely accommodating… I couldn’t ask for a most accommodating, loving plus kind person to take of my puppy today which was unexpected and in an emergency basis🤍 forever grateful!”

“Great Fur baby-sitter! I was having windows put on my home and needed a spot for my Mini Aussie Cali to stay for two days (day care). Cali had so much fun she didn’t want to come home with me. She played with Christina’s pack and chased ducks and was tired when she came home. Christina was friendly, kind and very accommodating. Would recommend in a heartbeat!”

“Sydney was great, very accommodating as I was always running late and she would always say no problem. What I loved about her was that she would wear my Jobu out and that’s what I wanted. Jobu is a westie and so full of energy and it’s tough at time to find someone that will truly GIVE it their all to make it happen!! Thanks so much Sydney, the feedback and pics were really cute!!!”

About: Over my life I have had many dogs from pup to senior. Dogs of any age are special, and I love to care for and spoil them with my love! I work from home and enjoy taking time outside in my fenced in yard, perfect for any dog. Any established routine will be respected and maintained! Any dog that stays at our home is considered family and loved as such. Any medication, dietary, or cuddle needs are manageable! I am open to meet and greets so you can see the space where your doggo will hang with me and my family!
“I have long work days and I was very nervous trusting my dog with someone else. From the moment my dog stepped into Eli’s home, I could tell she was comfortable and didn’t have any reservations about her. When I say we are going to her house, she runs to the door and whines until we leave. Eli sends pictures throughout the day of their activities and I can tell by how she comes home happy and sleepy that she is well taken care of. Her home is also very clean and has a fenced in yard. I feel grateful to have found a sitter that cares for my dog as if she were her own! I would absolutely recommend her for anybody that has reservations about finding a sitter through Rover.”

About: Hey! I’m Jenna and I am very excited at the opportunity to work with your fur baby. Animals have always been a big part of my life. I have worked as a pet sitter and walker for all types of animals. I grew up with pet pigs, birds, and lizards since my siblings were allergic to fur. As I got older I was finally able to have a dog of my own. I adore all dog breeds, however bullies have a special place in my heart. Pets are part of the family and should be treated with that in mind. There are many animals in my life, but there is always room in my heart for more! I promise to treat your little , or big, one as my own and guarantee they will be spoiled to your standards. And don’t worry, you will be getting lots of photos to assure you your baby is enjoying their time! I am available for pop ins and overnights whether that is at your home or mine, I no longer have any pets living in my home, so yours will be the only one at the house. I am a very respectful and caring person, and understand the privacy of your home. I appreciate punctuality and communication when planning to work/working together. I know sometimes life happens and schedules have to be changed, and with the right communication I can be lenient to cancellations. I will make myself available as possible to be flexible to you and your pets needs! If you have any questions don’t hesitate to reach out! *Tips are never expected, but always appreciated! <3 I mostly work from home so your pup will get lots of love and attention with my flexible schedule! When I do need to pop out and leave the house it’s typically no more than 4hrs. I am very attentive and treat your pet as if it’s my own. I get sad crating dogs, but will do it if it’s needed.
About: Hi, I'm Lexi! I've grown up alongside 2-3 dogs, which has inspired my love for any and all animals! I've pet-sat a wide variety of animals (list is below) and have 3 years of experience volunteering at animal shelters. Their happiness is my happiness :) On Tues-Thurs, I work from 8a-5p (and I’m home from 12:20p-12:40p to check on my doggos). On Fri, Sat, Sun, and Mon, I’m off work and will be right there to hang out with your fur babies all day! They can freely roam inside and outside while I’m there (we have a indoor/outdoor sunroom and a fenced-in yard), they're allowed on beds/furniture, and I won’t practice crating unless I'm instructed to. I live right by a park, so I love taking my dogs for short walks or just to go roam around in the lawn, whatever they're in the mood for :) I'm super attentive to their needs, as I currently own two senior doggos (a beagle and a dachshund) and have been able to spot even the littlest physical/emotional changes in them. On that note, I’d prefer to ONLY board dogs that are not high-energy or territorial, so as to help keep my small senior dogs safe. I love keeping owners updated with pictures/texts to make them feel like their fur babies are right there with them! Animals I've cared for: Dogs, cats, leopard geckos, hognose snakes, hedgehogs, and White's tree frogs. I'm currently working part-time, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pups! I love starting the day by taking my dogs to the park that's 2 min away for a walk. If they seem bored, I’ll give them a car ride or take them to PetSmart to shop around :) I have a fenced in yard and two senior dogs to keep your fur baby company. Your puppo is more than welcome to chill on our beds and couches (we have dog beds, too). We even have a guest room in case they want space! We live right by Walter Fuller recreational park.
“Alexis has been great with our 6 month old puppy! Her and Patrick have been wonderful at helping out for last minute requests. Our little Aussie comes home exhausted after playing all day with her two super sweet goldens, and he’s always excited to go back to daycare! Would highly recommend to anyone in the area!”

“Marquita watched my puppy for a whole day and took such amazing care of her! Such a sweet person with a nice family! She also sent me great pictures and updates while I was out. I was so grateful to have a caring person to leave my very energetic little pup with. Marquita was an excellent communicator and I highly recommend her as a pet sitter!”

“Pam & Darren, have a beautiful dog friendly home and they treat your pets like their own. Both of our pups were very happy there! Having the peice of mind that your dogs are safe and secure is priceless! Definitely recommend!”

About: As a dog mom for more than 10 years, I know that pets are family. I have also fostered dogs several times, which taught me how to care for animals with different personalities, backgrounds, and needs. Some pets adjust quickly, while others need extra patience, reassurance, and a gentle approach—and I’m comfortable with both. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. Whether that means going for walks, playing fetch, sticking to their routine, or simply providing companionship, I will treat your pet with the same care and attention I give my own dog. I’m a full-time mom, so I have plenty of time to be fully present with your pups throughout the day. Our home has a very steady rhythm — quiet mornings, gentle play time, outdoor walks, and cozy evening wind-downs. Weekdays: I’m home almost the entire day, so your dog will have: • consistent companionship • multiple short walks • regular bathroom breaks • lots of calm time to relax No surprises. No last-minute changes. You will always know where your dog is and how they’re doing. I send photos + videos daily so you can enjoy your day with peace of mind. At my home, your dog will be in a calm, gentle, and family-like environment. We keep the day slow and predictable, which helps dogs feel safe and relaxed. Care in my home looks like: • One dog at a time — no chaos or overstimulation • No other pets — full attention and calm atmosphere • Private rest area — your dog can relax whenever needed • Clear boundaries — my 6-year-old knows to give dogs space • No forced interaction — we let your dog approach at their own pace • Consistent short walks and soft, patient companionship • Daily photo/video updates for your peace of mind. Your dog will not feel like a boarder here — they will be treated like family. Our focus is safety, comfort, and emotional ease. When I care for pets in your home, I follow your routine exactly, so your dog or cat feels secure and understood. • I keep feeding, walking, and rest times consistent with their normal schedule • I use the same words, cues, and contact style your dog is used to • I respect your home just as I respect your pet: clean, calm, safe, and intentional • I observe body language to understand what your pet needs (space, closeness, quiet, or play) • I send updates every visit, so you feel connected and worry-free My focus is always on creating a predictable, kind, and soothing experience for your pet — wherever they are.

About: My husband, Clay and I have had dogs all our lives. Current empty nesters without our own dog, but we love to have dogs around! We both work from home and have plenty of time to go on walks and be with your pet all day long. We get up early during the week and on weekends. Great safe neighborhood, walking distance from Walter Fuller Park and Abercrombie Park. Dogs can roam in the house freely! I currently work full-time from home I own my company so I have the flexibility to make my own schedule and care for pets through out the day. Live in a home in Jungle Terrace area! 1 floor, fenced in back yard for the pups to safely run around. Home a majority of the day to keep your pet company.
“Bailey was absolutely wonderful with my French bulldog, Princeton! From the moment I dropped him off for doggie day care, I could tell he was in great hands. Bailey’s golden retriever, Beau, was the perfect playmate -- full of energy and super friendly! Princeton had the best time keeping up with Beau, and I could tell he came home happy and tired! I also really appreciated that Bailey’s home offered such a well-rounded environment. Princeton received his first exposure being around a cat and young children, which was an awesome learning opportunity for my pup. Bailey and her husband clearly know how to make dogs feel comfortable, loved, and engaged. I’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

We love Bailie!! She takes the BEST care of our sweet pup, and she lovessss getting to go hang out with her every time we drop her off! She stays in touch and sends cute pics throughout the day, and I couldn’t ask for someone better to care for my sweet girl!! Couldn’t recommend her more!

I want to thank Christopher, Marianne and Gizmo for a wonderful first experience with Rover! My French bulldog Princeton had a great day with them. The absolute highlight is that they have a chicken coop in the back yard, and the dogs and the chickens were allowed to run around and play together. (I was a little worried that my boy might try to eat one of their chickens, but, thankfully, he's probably way too slow for them!)

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
