“We are so so glad we found Alli! Our 1 year old Australian shepherd Harry has a lot of energy and can often be a handful. Alli is wonderful with him! She sends updates several times a day and is always keeping us in the loop. Her sweet dog Mack is the perfect playmate for Harry and insures that he comes home tired :) we know whenever Harry is with Alli he is in amazing hands.”

“Absolutely wonderful!!! Our babies had a great time. Christina is very responsible and professional. We received picture updates throughout the day. Her place was very clean and safe. Will be back again. Thanks Christina”

“Evette and her sweet lab Lady made our fur babies feel right at home! They were so happy/relaxed/tired from playing all day when we picked them up! Evette was so professional and accommodating, easy to trust right away. She sent so many amazing updates and photos about their stay together! We will for sure be asking her for help again!”

“Sydney was absolutely amazing in taking a wonderful care of my fur baby Kanella. I recommend her for anyone who needs a pet sitter support that truly cares and loves animals. 🐶🐾💕”

About: I have been caring for dogs most of my life and love every dog as if they’re my own. I have experience with all life stages and personalities - whether your dog is high energy and needs lots of playtime or is a senior who just wants to relax and be loved on. I am used to medication management, special diets, mobility challenges and bottle feeding. My adult dog, Olive, is always looking for a new friend to play with. I also foster puppies from time to time, so there may be lots of new friends for your pup to interact with while they’re here. I tailor my care to match animals’ personality and routine. My goal is to make them feel safe, happy and well-cared for while you’re away. Whether that is day care during the day or a long-term trip, they will be in good hands. I am fully remote and will be with your pup(s) all day. We will have plenty of outdoor play time during the day and always make time for afternoon naps. There is a nice 3 mile walking path by my house, so if your dog is very active and likes to walk or run, I would love to bring them along. For less active dogs, there will always be a comfy spot on the couch for them! I have a large fenced yard with plenty of room for them to explore. My dog, Olive, loves to run around back there. There are also cooling mats on the back porch if your dog likes to sunbathe.
“Sydney was great, very accommodating as I was always running late and she would always say no problem. What I loved about her was that she would wear my Jobu out and that’s what I wanted. Jobu is a westie and so full of energy and it’s tough at time to find someone that will truly GIVE it their all to make it happen!! Thanks so much Sydney, the feedback and pics were really cute!!!”
“Julie + Brian are SO nice! Super sweet, kind, caring, and 100% dog lovers! Appreciate you and can’t thank you enough for taking such great care of my dog-ter!”

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life with my own fur baby. She is very friendly towards other animals and usually lets other dogs be more dominant. Live right next to a dog park and Willow would love to play with your dog there! I work from home so I am very flexible with care. Whether it’s walks, feeding, or play schedule,I am available to make it happen. Let me know what your preferences are. Willow is fed and walked in the morning and at night. Pets are allowed in the bed and on furniture. We frequent dog parks as she likes to play with other animals vs chase balls.
“Our sweet and shy Athena had a great time at Heather's for doggy daycare. We felt at ease knowing she was in good hands. We'd definitely bring her back again! Thanks Heather!”

About: Hello! I am a lifelong pet-sitter, new to the platform. After recently losing my elderly cocker spaniel, I am looking to return to caring for other people’s pets! I have experience with dogs, cats, birds, rabbits and hamsters, and live in a clean, pet-friendly home with a fenced yard and walking distance to three different parks. I am retired from healthcare, BLS certified, active, fun-loving and professional. I look forward to meeting your pet! I have an empty nest and am an active young retiree, so I am home all day except for trips to the park for exercise and the petstore for treats! I live in a pet-friendly home with a fenced yard for quick potty breaks, but prefer taking walks around one of the beautiful nearby parks if your dog is willing. I welcome all well-behaved dogs, crate-trained or not.
“We want to adopt Alyssa and Ace! With incredible aplomb and a clear head, Alyssa amazingly averted a potential crisis regarding our kids during daycare! It was the first time in their young lives that our two girls had ever spent a day away from us at someone else’s home. We couldn’t have asked for better hosts than Alyssa and Ace! Ecstatic that where one Rover door closed, Alyssa’s door opened! 🥰🐕🐕🦺🐶🥰”

About: I am an absolute pet lover! Any time I see a dog, I stop and bond with it. We had a miniature poodle for over 17 years, who I miss daily. I have a special way with animals and shower them with love! I work from home, so I have flexibility! Because I create my own schedule, I can make sure to prioritize a pet’s needs and give them my full attention! I am very devoted to all animals I care for. They have my full attention and become my priority for the time I care for them.
“Nadia was fantastic with Miles on his first visit and very flexible with pick up time which we appreciate! He enjoyed playing with her pups Hazel and Cora and will definitely be back for more fun!”

“Fabulous week for Juno our Alaskan Husky mix! She was so settled and happy with Denise and her Border Collie Frankie! Such peace of mind knowing Juno was in good hands and happy. Denise is a wonderful person. She understands dogs and she totally gets dog owners worries too. Would not hesitate to use her again!”

Sydney was great, very accommodating as I was always running late and she would always say no problem. What I loved about her was that she would wear my Jobu out and that’s what I wanted. We love Bailie!! She takes the BEST care of our sweet pup, and she lovessss getting to go hang out with her every time we drop her off! She stays in touch and sends cute pics throughout the day, and I couldn’t ask for someone better to care for my sweet girl!! Couldn’t recommend her more!

Bailey was absolutely wonderful with my French bulldog, Princeton! From the moment I dropped him off for doggie day care, I could tell he was in great hands. Bailey’s golden retriever, Beau, was the perfect playmate -- full of energy and super friendly! Princeton had the best time keeping up with Beau, and I could tell he came home happy and tired! I also really appreciated that Bailey’s home offered such a well-rounded environment. Princeton received his first exposure being around a cat and young children, which was an awesome learning opportunity for my pup. Bailey and her husband clearly know how to make dogs feel comfortable, loved, and engaged. I’ll definitely be booking with her again!

I want to thank Christopher, Marianne and Gizmo for a wonderful first experience with Rover! My French bulldog Princeton had a great day with them. The absolute highlight is that they have a chicken coop in the back yard, and the dogs and the chickens were allowed to run around and play together. (I was a little worried that my boy might try to eat one of their chickens, but, thankfully, he's probably way too slow for them!)

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
