“Emma loves to visit! Jumps out of the car so excited and when we get home she is ready for a nap.. Total peace of mind for me that my girl is taken care of when I can't be with her. Thanks.”

“This was the first time we used the service at Rover and we are glad that we did. We put our dog (Tali) with Claire for an initial stay before we will board her for 10 days. Claire made us feel relieved that Tali will have a great time while we are travelling. We appreciated the frequent photos that she sent.”

About: Long walks, belly rubs, couch cuddles, and genuine care live here. I know pets are family, and I treat every dog like they’re somebody’s whole heart walking around on four legs. Reliable, communicative, attentive, and probably already talking to your dog in a tiny little voice. I work from home, which allows me to give dogs plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. I live across from a park with great walking space and room for fresh air, exercise, and playtime. I also have a friendly small dog of my own, so caring for pups is already a natural part of my daily routine and home environment. 🐾 My home is a safe, dog-friendly environment with two porches, a unique fenced outdoor space, and plenty of room for supervised fresh air and relaxation. I’m mindful about secure doors, leashes, routines, and creating a calm atmosphere where pets feel comfortable and safe. Because I work from home, pets are rarely left unattended and receive lots of attention throughout the day. 🐾

About: I have been caring for dogs most of my life and love every dog as if they’re my own. I have experience with all life stages and personalities - whether your dog is high energy and needs lots of playtime or is a senior who just wants to relax and be loved on. I am used to medication management, special diets, mobility challenges and bottle feeding. My adult dog, Olive, is always looking for a new friend to play with. I also foster puppies from time to time, so there may be lots of new friends for your pup to interact with while they’re here. I tailor my care to match animals’ personality and routine. My goal is to make them feel safe, happy and well-cared for while you’re away. Whether that is day care during the day or a long-term trip, they will be in good hands. I am fully remote and will be with your pup(s) all day. We will have plenty of outdoor play time during the day and always make time for afternoon naps. There is a nice 3 mile walking path by my house, so if your dog is very active and likes to walk or run, I would love to bring them along. For less active dogs, there will always be a comfy spot on the couch for them! I have a large fenced yard with plenty of room for them to explore. My dog, Olive, loves to run around back there. There are also cooling mats on the back porch if your dog likes to sunbathe.

As I got older I was finally able to have a dog of my own. I adore all dog breeds, however bullies have a special place in my heart. Pets are part of the family and should be treated with that in mind. There are many animals in my life, but there is always room in my heart for more! I promise to treat your little , or big, one as my own and guarantee they will be spoiled to your standards. And don’t worry, you will be getting lots of photos to assure you your baby is enjoying their time! I am available for pop ins and overnights whether that is at your home or mine, I no longer have any pets living in my home, so yours will be the only one at the house. I am a very respectful and caring person, and understand the privacy of your home. I appreciate punctuality and communication when planning to work/working together. I know sometimes life happens and schedules have to be changed, and with the right communication I can be lenient to cancellations. I will make myself available as possible to be flexible to you and your pets needs! If you have any questions don’t hesitate to reach out! Rover rates: + first additional pet $15 a day ++ 2nd additional pet $10 a day +++ 3 and more additional pets $5 a day *Tips are never expected, but always appreciated! <3 I mostly work from home so your pup will get lots of love and attention with my flexible schedule! When I do need to pop out and leave the house it’s typically no more than 4hrs. I am very attentive and treat your pet as if it’s my own. I get sad crating dogs, but will do it if it’s needed.
“Joshua was great! Our puppy stayed with him three days in a row. Day one he seemed nervous, but by day 3 he was trying to jump out the car window when we pulled up because he was so excited! We would definitely go back and highly recommend him! 🐶🐾”

About: Vil has over 40 years of experience taking care of dogs and a variety of animals. She grew up on a farm taking care of dogs, cats, chickens, horses, goats, sheep, cows, rabbits and birds. She brings a wealth of experience and an abundance of love to her dog care services. Growing up surrounded by a variety of animals, she developed a deep, nurturing bond with the many dogs that her family would foster on the family farm. Vil has cared for multiple dogs at once and 1 dog at a time, each with unique personalities and needs. Her profound understanding of canine behavior, combined with her gentle, attentive nature, ensures every dog feels cherished and secure. Clients can trust Vil to provide a loving, safe environment where their pets will receive the same level of affection and care as they would at home. Hil has 10 years of experience with dog walking and dog sitting. She has worked with Vil for the past 3 years caring for their pup Sora (see picture). Hil & Vil work from home so they are available for frequent potty breaks, walks, pet care, refill water and food, administer medication as needed and all other pet needs. Pet care can vary depending on each individual pet's needs. We do have a 3 year old pup, Sora, who is very friendly and loving with humans and other dogs. The pup coming to be cared for would just need to get along with Sora and they would play well together. They have a big backyard to play in together, we play fetch a few times a day, go for walks, brushing as needed, cuddles and belly scratches are welcome. Sora can have a herding dog behavior so she will help your pup learn new skills, she is very smart and well trained.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Treasure Island
If I could give 10 stars, I absolutely would! Finding someone you truly trust to care for your baby is incredibly difficult, but Emma and William exceeded every expectation. They didn’t just watch Brisket, they treated him like he was part of their family. Throughout the day, I received multiple updates and adorable photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. When I picked him up, he even had a personalized treat bag complete with a hand-drawn picture of him and a sweet little necklace! The best sign of all? He came home happy, content, and completely exhausted from all the fun he had. It was obvious he was loved, cared for, and had an amazing time. We will absolutely be bringing Brisket back and cannot recommend Emma and William highly enough. Thank you both for taking such wonderful care of our little guy! ❤️🐾🥰

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
