“Kimberly has been a wonderful dog walker for our Vinny! After initially inquiring for her services, Kimberly took the time to meet with us at our house - she asked very thoughtful questions, and made sure to write down all of the details and instructions. Her attention to detail and care with Vinny have been beyond 5-stars. Kimberly is very easy to work with and flexible with scheduling. She writes very thorough details in the Report after the walk with plenty of pictures - I feel like I was on the walk with them! :) I know Kimberly provides the upmost care for our boy and will be re-booking her in the future.”

She updates me with pictures and videos too! She is THE BEST !!!!”

About: With a background in Search and Recovery (SAR) training, I offer more than just a walk around the block. I’ve spent my life living with and learning from breeds of all shapes and sizes - from the stubborn charm of Bulldogs to the high intelligence of German Shepherds. Whether your dog is a high energy athlete or a puppy still learning the ropes, I provide a structured, safe, and engaging environment. I also specialize in board and trains meaning I understand how to communicate with dogs effectively. I am currently raising my own GSD puppy and managing two cats, so I am an expert at multi-pet household dynamics and “puppy chaos” management. I work from home so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your fur kids! I’m available all day and tend to my own animals all day (and sometimes night) as well. I have a fenced yard and a friendly GSD puppy who can cuddle and play. I have a dedicated “animal room” where your pups crate will go so they can relax after a long day of fun.
“Gail is wonderful with my girls. I have two small dogs that love her. She is always professional and on time. She has always walked the girl with short notice. My work schedule changes and I appreciate her flexibility.”

“Shannon was great! She came early for a meet and greet and she sent me lots of pictures while I was gone. She spent extra time with my dog and I felt my dog was well taken care of which made my time away more enjoyable; will definitely be using her again!”

“Kierra Was so kind to the dogs, very attentive and followed every direction we gave her to the fullest extent. Highly recommend, was able to help us out super last minute. We could’ve have asked for a better dog sitter.”

“Elise was awesome. I was nervous my dog would hate the experience, but she made me feel a lot better with the communication before and during. She followed all my asks and Peri made a new friend :-)”

About: I've worked with animals of all shapes, sizes, and behaviors. Although, I am most familiar with dogs, cats, rodents (all), horses, goats donkeys, pigs, chickens, and ducks. I am working part-time on a flexible schedule, so I will be able to make visits occur at nearly anytime of day—I'm happy to discuss best times to visit as need-be. I have two separate spaces for each animal if necessary. I also live in a suburban area where there aren't many cars, and there is plenty of space to walk dogs.
About: As a long time pet lover and owner (dogs and cats), I'd love to help with your pet care needs. No matter the type of animal, temperament, or breed,I'll make sure your animal friends are loved! I'm located in downtown St. Pete on Central Ave, have transportation, and can be flexible with times and logistics. I'm currently working part time remote which allows plenty of flexibility with pet care. I have a dog and cat of my own, both of which are friendly. I can do boarding as long as they're friendly with other dogs - I can keep the cat in another room if needed. Have my own transportation. I'm on the first floor of an apartment complex with access to great walking routes and a minutes walk away from a great dog park. As a dog owner, I know how important play and exercise are and will make sure they're having a good time!
“Lisa is so sweet and my Bella really likes her! She arrived during the expected time frame and let me know how my pup was doing. She even got sent pictures of my cats. Will definitely hire her for future walks.”

About: I grew up with many animals, from gerbils to parakeets to chickens and horses, assisting with care & training. I've taken 3 of my family dogs through obedience training courses. While working at and eventually managing a pet store, I ran a ferret rehabilitation out of my home, helping them to regain health & good behavior to find their forever home. I've also pet sat for many friends. My furry family consists of an extra large dog and 3 cats, all rescues! I work part time and seasonal gigs and jobs. This allows me to have open availability and a flexible schedule! I can adjust my routine to meet your needs. At home, I have a lovely fenced in yard for my dog to run. And lots of trees and toys for the cats to play with. In your home, I would provide care, play, and walks based on your requests.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Treasure Island
Kylie and her business partner are warm amazing, people who really love animals. They walked my dog sasha daily for 2 weeks, as I recovered from surgery. They were highly responsive and communicative, and made sure sasha got taken care of and walked and return back very happy. They were also extremely responsible, because sometimes i'd have to adjust times and they would be diligent to make sure I am getting the correctly allotted time for each walk. I i highly recommend them.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
