“Daniel was great, but I knew he was going to be the moment I met him. Genuine person with a great love for doggos if all sorts. Zaad (my dog) said he had a “gnarly time” and thinks Dan Is “super cool dude.” Thanks again!”

“Yessica and her husband treated our dog Leo like their own while we were away! She sent tons of photo and video updates so we could really enjoy our trip. Their home has a huge backyard so Leo loved playing and running around in it. We will def use Yessica in the future and highly recommend her to anyone!”

“Jackie and Tommy were amazing to work with. I would certainly recommend them and trust them in the future to watch our baby Titan. Thank you for the great communication, spending so much time and personal attention with Titan. ❤️”

“We always have a great experience having Molly stay with Jennifer. Molly is always taken well care of and receive multiple photos letting us know how she is doing. Jennifer definitely will be 1st on our list for repeat stays.”

“Kristin was absolutely AMAZING! She provided the best service I’ve had thus far. Upon arrival she was ready to go with a list she wrote down of everything important listed on our profile. I could not have asked for anything more from her! She updated me with a breakdown of what they did that day and shared some photos of my dog. I am extremely grateful I found her and would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking for stability, reassurance and great communication while you’re away from your pup! 🐶”

“Daniel & Teresita are absolutely wonderful! My dogs literally run to them and don’t look back when I drop them off for a stay. I know my dogs are well cared for when they are with them.”

“Kristen was most accommodating to my last minute requirement for a pup sitter. She was very communicative and sent me pics of my pup throughout her 2 day stay. I got delayed due to construction and rain so I ran late getting back. Kristen was most understanding as I kept in contact to keep her apprised of my ETA. My pup wad happy to see me and looked very well cared for while I was away. I highly recommend Kristen if you need a dog sitter as she is amazing. Thank you again, Kristen!”

“Sally was amazing! I travel a lot, and I have always left Bailey with friends or family. This is our first time using rover. He’s getting older, 15 now, so he can be finicky. Sally sent me pictures daily, and kept me updated on his eating habits. (He can only eat wet food since he has lost some teeth) Her home is so cute! And in a very safe neighborhood. She had plenty of room for Bailey! Bailey was so comfortable in her home, when I came to pick him up, he didn’t even want to get out of his bed! We had to tell him it was time to go! I HIGHLY recommend Sally to take care of your fur baby. She is such a sweet lady, and took great care of my elderly dog.”

“Jessica and her husband are amazing! They were very communicative from the start. They took care of all of Charlie's senior needs like special food, meds and belly bands. Charlie had such a great time he was barely excited to see me when I came to pick him up. I think he felt like he was on vacation with Jessica. I will definitely be using them again!”

“Scottie had a great time with Viviana. Scottie loved her from the first meeting, I was nervous but he didn’t skip a beat, just went with her and didn’t turn back. She was great with updates. Will def use again for Scottie.”

“Pamela was the best! She accommodated my pup last minute, for a week, AND over the holidays! Her pup Argo and my dog had so much fun together. She texted me updates and pics all week. I’m so thankful and will def be using her again!”

“My dog had so much fun with Abby and Alex!! They took notes at our meet and greet to make sure nothing was forgotten, sent great updates and pictures, and made sure Koda stuck to her normal routine with lots of walks. Koda was very comfortable with them and I will definitely be asking them to watch her again in then future!!”

“Paloma was awesome and treated our dogs like they were her own. She was set up perfectly for our fur babies to spend the night and it was also very last minute and she was so sweet and accommodating. Would 100% recommend!”

“Samuel was awesome! Theo had a wonderful stay in a lovely neighborhood! Samuel was extremely responsive, sent updates and pictures, and was flexible for our drop off and pick up times. We couldn’t ask for more and would highly recommend him to watch your fur babies! Very thankful to find such an excellent and professional home to host our furriest family member.”

“This was our fur babies first stay with Andrea and she was amazing! It was such a great feeling that he was so comfortable while we were away. Can’t wait for our next visit :)”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - North Redington Beach
Our Shih Pooh Harper’s first vacation away and he came home ready for a long nap! No issues. He’s happy to be back home as you would expect, but I think he was looking around our house today for his new friends. I think we’ll find another weekend adventure and send him to stay with Brian and Betty Ann again.

Tucker had the best time with Walter and Athena! He took such good care of our boy when we were gone for the week that Tucker actually misses them!! He was sad the next day that he didn’t wake up with his new dog friend! Will always choose this sitter for all of our future needs! Communication was 5 star! Walter was super accommodating with all of our needs with drop off and pick up! And he was sure to send pictures everyday and give us updates! Thank you Walter and Athena!!

Gina and her husband Mike were great, and took excellent care of our Teacup Yorki, Misha. They send several updates with photos and videos while we were on our trip, and it was clear that Misha was totally comfortable with them. I'd be happy to use Gina's services whenever we need to fly somewhere, I know I'll be able to trust that our Misha will be in good hands and loved while we're away. Thanks, Gina!

Chelsea and her husband Alex are excellent pet sitters. I have used them many times to take care of my beloved shihtzu, and I know she's in good hands while I'm gone. I always receive daily pictures and communication. I highly recommend them if you need someone to care for your fur baby!
I had a great experience boarding my dogs with her for 4 days and 3 nights. She was incredibly kind and welcoming, and her whole family made my dogs feel at home. Her two teenagers and husband were very helpful, and my dogs especially adored her daughter — she let them sleep with her, which really helped them feel comfortable and secure. She sent me daily updates with pictures and videos, which gave me such peace of mind while I was away. It truly felt like my dogs were treated as part of the family. I would absolutely recommend her and would not hesitate to book with her again!

Alex was very responsive during the booking process. We had a meet and greet to make sure our dog Abby was comfortable at her home, which she was very happy to see a fenced in back yard to play. Alex was great with our high energy dog during the 5 day stay. Alex kept me updated everyday with pictures and cute messages. When I picked up our dog she was very happy. I could tell she was well cared for. I would book with Alex again.

I feel so fortunate to have found Kate for watching my sweet boy, Riley, when I travel. She’s absolutely the perfect person to care for him, and Riley clearly loves the time he spends with her. It has greatly eased my anxiety about leaving him because I know he’s in great care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
