“Nancy did a great job taking care of our Boston Terrier, Maggie, for three days. She was reliable and attentive, and we appreciated the photo updates she sent while we were away. Maggie was happy and well cared for. We would gladly book with Nancy again.”

“My first time ever using Rover, and it was an amazing experience !!!!! So happy that i picked the perfect family, to watch my precious puppy... having a puppy is a lot of hard work and I was so nervous leaving bailey with just anyone. From the moment I arrived Norma made me feel so comfortable even led me around her backyard & home. While I was away, I was sent pictures of bailey & when I returned learned that bailey had learned a New Trick :) .. such an amazing family, highly recommended !!”

“I really appreciate Kristen being available during the holiday season. My pet fit right in with her family pets. Kristen is very friendly and her home is cozy. I hope she is available for my next booking!”

“Rachel was amazing in taking care of our cat. She sent bunch of pictures and videos. Our Osman was comfortable in her house, and we were happy knowing he is in good hands.”

“Debbie is a kind soul who will love your pup like her own. She watched our two pups during Hurricane Helene and even without power she made sure she updated us. She does an amazing job creating a peaceful place so your pups feel welcomed and at home. She definitely made our pups feel like family. 💕”
“Daniel & Teresita are absolutely wonderful! My dogs literally run to them and don’t look back when I drop them off for a stay. I know my dogs are well cared for when they are with them.”

“Leslie does an awesome job with Benny. She’s calm and attentive to him. Her dog Willa gives him attention too. She’s super flexible with a few last minute changes I had on this trip. So very much appreciated.”

“Marharyta was absolutely wonderful with my dog, Erin! From the moment we connected, she was kind, professional, and clearly passionate about animals. While I was away, she sent me daily updates along with photos of Erin, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was clear that Erin was not only well cared for but also genuinely happy and comfortable with Marharyta. I truly appreciated the attention to detail, the affection she showed my dog, and her excellent communication throughout. I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again – highly recommended!”

“I can’t recommend J’Quan enough! This was my first time leaving my 2-year-old pit bull, and I was honestly nervous. From the very beginning, he made the entire process feel comfortable and stress-free. My dog stayed in a clean, well-maintained environment, and it was obvious she was well cared for. What meant the most to me was that he spent quality time with her instead of just watching her. He also kept us updated with frequent messages and pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares for your pet like they’re his own, J’Quan is the one. We will definitely be booking with him again!”

About: I’m an experienced pet sitter and lifelong animal lover who has cared for both dogs and cats for many friends, family members and neighbors over the years. I’m also a dog mom to two large breeds, a Golden Retriever and a Husky, so I’m very comfortable with big dogs, strong personalities and higher-energy breeds. I work from home, which means your pet will have plenty of company, attention and potty breaks throughout the day instead of being left alone for long stretches. I understand that every animal has their own personality, routine and comfort level, and I’m happy to follow the schedule and care instructions that help them feel most at home. I’m also comfortable caring for senior pets and animals who need medication or extra patience. One of my dogs has epilepsy, so I have experience giving daily medication, monitoring health needs and staying calm when a pet needs additional care. My three-bedroom home also gives me the flexibility to provide a separate, quiet space when needed, along with a white-noise machine to help pets settle in. Whether your pet wants walks, playtime, cuddles or space to decompress, I’ll treat them with the same care and attention I give my own. I work from home full-time, so pet care fits naturally into my everyday routine. I’m available throughout the day for regular potty breaks, meals, walks, playtime, medication and plenty of attention. My own dogs are already part of my daily schedule, so caring for an additional pet doesn’t feel like an interruption—it simply means one more animal to include in our routine. Because I’m home most of the day, pets won’t be left alone for long stretches. I can also adjust my schedule based on their normal routine, energy level and individual needs. Safety and comfort are my top priorities. In my home, I take introductions slowly and supervise interactions with my own dogs to make sure everyone feels comfortable. I have a three-bedroom home, so visiting pets can have their own quiet space if they need time to decompress, eat separately or simply relax away from the other animals. I also have a white-noise machine to help nervous pets settle in. I carefully follow each pet’s normal routine, feeding instructions, medication schedule and any household rules provided by their owner. I keep doors secure, monitor pets during outdoor time and never force interaction between animals. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat their space with respect and make sure their pet receives consistent, attentive care in the environment where they feel most comfortable. I’m happy to provide updates and photos so owners can feel confident that their pet is safe, comfortable and well cared for.
“Our Shih Pooh Harper’s first vacation away and he came home ready for a long nap! No issues. He’s happy to be back home as you would expect, but I think he was looking around our house today for his new friends. I think we’ll find another weekend adventure and send him to stay with Brian and Betty Ann again.”

“Pups are always so happy when they come home from being with Claire - she obviously takes such good care of them!! There is no doubt they are loved and a part of her household. Claire is always so very accommodating with pick up times --- we appreciate your help so much!!! Thank you for all Claire!!!”
“Pamela and Darren were absolutely amazing with Chip and Daisy. During our trip out of town we got timely updates and expert advice when some additional care was needed. They are thoughtful and caring hosts for families. I would always reach out to them first for any help needed for family animals. They are an extension of family at this point!”

“Shadow loves spending time with Billy. He’s always well taken care of. I appreciate how detailed Billy’s reports are- he lets me know about my Shadow’s mood, eating habits, how he’s settling in, etc. Although I miss my Shadow when I have to travel out of town, I know he will be in great hands living the retired life with Billy and enjoying a yard to roam around in. I’d book Billy again for long trips!”

Kennedi took great care of my Teacup Yorki with at least two walks a day and she even gave him a bath. He was very comfortable with her and had no problems, and she sent me photos and/or a video every day. There was no problem communicating with her and she responded quickly to my texts. I'd be happy to recommend her to anyone, especially to those with small or midsized dogs.

Christina is the best. There’s no one else I trust my dogs with. They always come back happy and I can leave them with her and never have to worry about them being ok or safe. She’s a wonderful person and we appreciate the care and loves she gives to our dogs while we’re away.
The perfect couple to look after our little girl, Biscuit. She is prone to separation anxiety but settled in quickly with Joan and Jerry. When our return flight was canceled, we needed Biscuit to stay another night. We really appreciate Joan and Jerry’s flexibility and willingness to accommodate the extra night. They were also terrific with Biscuit’s meds and taking her for walks. I could not be more pleased and would not hesitate to reach out to Joan and Jerry again.

We have always been so pleased with Yessica and her wonderful care of our Callie, so we had no qualms about booking her for a two-week stay. As always, Yessica provided us with daily reports and photos and responded quickly when I reached out to her. The icing on the cake today was that Yessica gave Callie a bath before I picked her up! She was squeaky clean and adorned with a festive bandana. So happy to have such a pleasant, reliable, and loving sitter for our little girl.

Delta had an amazing time! It was our first time leaving him with someone other than a family member and we felt that he was in great hands! We received updates while we were gone and even a couple photos. Delta had so much fun with the other dogs! Great sitters!
I met Scott 3 three weeks before my trip and he was so nice. I knew I found a good sitter to take care of Mickie. Nervously I dropped Mickie off on the day of my trip and handed written instructions to Scott. I had no reason to be nervous he took such good care of Mickie. Scott was so pleased with Mickie's behavior and I couldn't be happier. I would use Scott again without a doubt.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
