“This was our first time boarding Ruby using Rover, and Stephen was a wonderful host! He was calm and reassuring and sent plenty of pictures and videos to keep us at ease while we were away. We'll definitely be booking with him again!”

“Sally was wonderful to work with and we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for our dog. It’s always hard leaving your dog with someone new; she went out of her way to text us regularly with pictures and updates giving us peace of mind while we were away. This is our second time booking Sally and our dog was THRILLED to be back. We felt that our dog was in great hands and really appreciate the love that she gave him while we were gone. We know Bennie misses his new friend!”

“What a wonderful couple! So impressed with how conscientious they are, how much they truly love dogs and how much they want to ensure that your pet is happy and content during their visit. Every step of my senior dog's routine was followed and I received multiple updates while he was staying at their beautiful home. Already booked our next trip with them!!”

“Norma was awesome with my dog who is extremely shy at first. She made him feel very comfortable at her home and sent lots of pictures! I will use her every time I need some to watch my sweet boy!”

“Brittany was amazing! She gave me updates multiple times a day and took great care of my little one. She even offered a meet and great before I booked with her to make sure my dog would be comfortable in her home. She is very thoughtful and extremely kind-hearted. Will definitely be calling her the next time I need a dog sitter!”

“J'Quan was an amazing boarder! He was communicative, accommodating of an emergency at pickup, and was great with my bulldog, Max. Max came home clean, happy, and healthy, and I'd definitely have J'Quan keep him again.”

“Monty seemed very happy during his time with Nancy and she was very good about keeping in touch with his status and asking questions about his routines. I’d definitely recommend her.”

“she understood our needs and loved our cat like we do while we were unable to be there, followed up daily with pictures and information very easy to deal with I would recommend her to anybody.”

“This was our very first time leaving our two French Bulldogs with someone, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Joe and Jen went above and beyond to make both us and our pups feel completely comfortable. From the start, they were kind, communicative, and clearly experienced with dogs. They followed the food schedule perfectly, sent tons of adorable photo updates, and made sure our pups felt right at home. When we picked them up, they looked just as happy, healthy, and relaxed as when we left them. It gave us such peace of mind knowing they were in such great hands. Highly recommend Joe and Jen if you’re looking for someone to treat your fur babies like their own!”

“Mia came home relaxed and happy - which I consider to be the absolute highest praise possible for a dog sitter! Especially considering it isn’t always the case with my separation-anxiety prone pup! Tabetha is an absolute treasure! ❤️❤️❤️”

“I really appreciate Kristen being available during the holiday season. My pet fit right in with her family pets. Kristen is very friendly and her home is cozy. I hope she is available for my next booking!”

“Jen was an absolute angel helping with Journey during a transportation hiccup and scheduling miscommunication between my trainer and me. I needed someone to bridge the gap between Journey being dropped off by her transporter and my trainer's daughter being available to receive her, and Jen stepped in without hesitation. Despite the uncertainty around the transport timing and ultimately an early 6:00 AM drop-off, she was communicative, flexible, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. She not only took wonderful care of Journey, but also coordinated the final handoff and personally dropped her off for me, making what could have been a very stressful situation feel seamless. She sent photo updates, kept me informed every step of the way, and treated Journey like one of her own. I truly can't thank her enough. If you're considering booking with Jen, I would do so without hesitation. She went above and beyond in every way. ★★★★★ Highly recommend!”

“Billy was a fantastic sitter for Shadow, our collie / corgi mix. Billy watched / boarded Shadow for a 30 days and all went smoothly. He sent us updates / photos each day and was very responsive if we ever had to communicate with him. Also, Billy only watches one dog at a time so owners don’t have to worry about other animals being with yours. My wife and I would definitely recommend Billy to anyone looking for a dog sitter.”
About: Every pet is unique, and I love discovering what makes yours happiest — whether it’s long walks, gentle play, or quiet cuddle time. I’m patient, detail-oriented, and treat every animal like family. Clients appreciate my reliable updates, flexibility, and the genuine bond I build with their pets. Your furry friend’s safety, comfort, and happiness always come first. Your fluffy friend will the center of my attention for their stay, whether it's just for a walk or sleepover they will be loved and taken care of. I live in an apartment, but their are two parks within walking distance so they will definitely have as much outside time as they want.
“We are thrilled that we found Athena and Richi. They are kind, sensitive and truly committed to our senior pup. After our first booking, we immediately booked them again and again.”
“This was our third time rebooking with Rachel—she’s simply the best! We really appreciated the morning and evening updates with photos. Always reliable and caring.”

About: I have a strong background caring for dogs and am very comfortable with a variety of sizes, breeds, and personalities. I work from my home so your dog will get plenty of attention. I’m active and love going outside for walks, but I’m also great at adjusting to each dog’s energy level—whether they’re playful or prefer a more laid-back routine. I also have a small Maltipoo at home who is very friendly and enjoys playing with other dogs, which can be great for social pups. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and make it a priority to follow your dog’s routine so they feel as comfortable as possible. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how your dog is doing. I currently work remote so am home most of the day. I like to walk my dog every 2-4 hours. I’m pretty active so am willing to either run or walk with your dog. I do not have a fenced yard so all walks or runs will be done on leash. Dogs will be treated as part of the family and allowed on furniture in the house.
“Our Shih Pooh Harper’s first vacation away and he came home ready for a long nap! No issues. He’s happy to be back home as you would expect, but I think he was looking around our house today for his new friends. I think we’ll find another weekend adventure and send him to stay with Brian and Betty Ann again.”

Delta had an amazing time! It was our first time leaving him with someone other than a family member and we felt that he was in great hands! We received updates while we were gone and even a couple photos. Delta had so much fun with the other dogs! Great sitters!
My pups and I absolutely love Vasti and Bryan. They took my 3 pups in last minute when I had another sitter fall through and I’m so so glad I found them. They made my dogs feel like family, sent tons of videos and photos and my pups looked so so happy the whole time. You can tell they really love animals 🥹❤️
Alli was exactly what you want when leaving your dog. Our golden had fantastic week and came home Exhausted. She got to play with Alli’s dog Mack, and lounged around all day while she worked from home. Alli was so great on uploading pictures every day. Their fenced backyard was a huge factor in knowing Kelly would be able to go BERZERK when she needed to. We always knew Kelly was taken care of and having a ball. Your pup will be in top notch hands with Alli and Scotty.

Our experience was wonderful! When our previous sitter canceled unexpectedly, he stepped in right away and welcomed Shiloh with open arms. From the moment we dropped him off, he made us feel completely at ease. He stayed in touch throughout Shiloh’s stay, sending regular updates and pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind. One of my favorite parts was that he has a Golden Retriever too, and Shiloh took to his new buddy immediately! It was so comforting knowing he had a friend to play with while we were away. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a caring, reliable dog sitter!

I can’t recommend J’Quan enough! This was my first time leaving my 2-year-old pit bull, and I was honestly nervous. From the very beginning, he made the entire process feel comfortable and stress-free. My dog stayed in a clean, well-maintained environment, and it was obvious she was well cared for. What meant the most to me was that he spent quality time with her instead of just watching her. He also kept us updated with frequent messages and pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares for your pet like they’re his own, J’Quan is the one. We will definitely be booking with him again!

Our dogs had such a blast with Jennifer and the frequent pictures and videos sent while staying with her were so appreciated. Knowing our fur babies were well taken care of when we were out of town put our minds so much at ease. Thank you for taking such good care of our pups like they were your own!

Emma was awesome and was totally flexible with scheduling. She shocked us by offering to pick up our Westie at the Clearwater Beach resort so that we could just enjoy a much needed mini vaca. Daisy took to her immediately and was tail wagging from the start! Very happy!!

Diane did a great job with our Bella! Our dog is older, and had a difficult time adjusting to her new environment as well as have the need of several medications. Diane helped her settle down and also medicated her properly (even when Bella is not fond of taking her pills). Highly recommend!

We had a great experience with Paola. She is reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about our dog’s well-being. We received regular updates and photos, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Our dog was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. We will gladly book her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
