“I felt SO comfortable leaving my little Ella with Brittany! Brittany was wonderful and provided updates/pictures throughout Ella’s stay. She was very accommodating to Ella’s needs (Ella doesn’t like to be alone) & Brittany made sure to make Ella feel right at home. Ella was so happy with Brittany! I will definitely be booking with Brittany again! :)”

“My first time ever using Rover, and it was an amazing experience !!!!! So happy that i picked the perfect family, to watch my precious puppy... having a puppy is a lot of hard work and I was so nervous leaving bailey with just anyone. From the moment I arrived Norma made me feel so comfortable even led me around her backyard & home. While I was away, I was sent pictures of bailey & when I returned learned that bailey had learned a New Trick :) .. such an amazing family, highly recommended !!”

“Debbie was an incredible sitter for our two pups while we were on vacation. Her calm demeanor and excellent communication made the entire experience stress-free. It's clear that she genuinely cares and loves animals, as our pups were well cared for and happy during our time away. She makes your pups feel like they are at home. Debbie's warm personality creates an inviting atmosphere, making both pets and their parents feel at ease. Thanks to her, we were able to fully enjoy our vacation, knowing our pups were in fantastic hands and well loved. Highly recommend her services!”

“Marharyta was extremely communicative. She sends daily updates and pictures even when are not requested. Our dog was not eating well and she tried multiple things always asking for our approval first. I think Canela had so much fun these days! She will be boarding with her in the near future for sure. Thank you Marharyta!”

About: I’m an experienced pet sitter and lifelong animal lover who has cared for both dogs and cats for many friends, family members and neighbors over the years. I’m also a dog mom to two large breeds, a Golden Retriever and a Husky, so I’m very comfortable with big dogs, strong personalities and higher-energy breeds. I work from home, which means your pet will have plenty of company, attention and potty breaks throughout the day instead of being left alone for long stretches. I understand that every animal has their own personality, routine and comfort level, and I’m happy to follow the schedule and care instructions that help them feel most at home. I’m also comfortable caring for senior pets and animals who need medication or extra patience. One of my dogs has epilepsy, so I have experience giving daily medication, monitoring health needs and staying calm when a pet needs additional care. My three-bedroom home also gives me the flexibility to provide a separate, quiet space when needed, along with a white-noise machine to help pets settle in. Whether your pet wants walks, playtime, cuddles or space to decompress, I’ll treat them with the same care and attention I give my own. I work from home full-time, so pet care fits naturally into my everyday routine. I’m available throughout the day for regular potty breaks, meals, walks, playtime, medication and plenty of attention. My own dogs are already part of my daily schedule, so caring for an additional pet doesn’t feel like an interruption—it simply means one more animal to include in our routine. Because I’m home most of the day, pets won’t be left alone for long stretches. I can also adjust my schedule based on their normal routine, energy level and individual needs. Safety and comfort are my top priorities. In my home, I take introductions slowly and supervise interactions with my own dogs to make sure everyone feels comfortable. I have a three-bedroom home, so visiting pets can have their own quiet space if they need time to decompress, eat separately or simply relax away from the other animals. I also have a white-noise machine to help nervous pets settle in. I carefully follow each pet’s normal routine, feeding instructions, medication schedule and any household rules provided by their owner. I keep doors secure, monitor pets during outdoor time and never force interaction between animals. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat their space with respect and make sure their pet receives consistent, attentive care in the environment where they feel most comfortable. I’m happy to provide updates and photos so owners can feel confident that their pet is safe, comfortable and well cared for.

“Michelle took wonderful care of my dogs Penny and Ted. She took them for long walks and out to see new places, always sending frequent pictures and updates. Would absolutely recommend her to look after your pet!”

“I never worry about my boys when they are with Athena and Richi! The dogs can’t wait to get there (they never look back at Mom) and receive such great care. Communications are excellent. Would recommend without reservations!”

“Daniel and Teresita were so wonderful! They were very communicative, sent photos, and followed our pet care instructions. Their house is super dog friendly with a beautiful yard, dog stairs, and extra beds. All around great people and pet-sitters! We will definitely have our boys stay again 😊”

“Cara is the best!! I had my dogs stay with her and her fiancé for 6 nights. She sent pictures and updates daily. My dogs were super comfortable with her and her dog, Lola. Cara has a large, fenced backyard which made my dogs the happiest! I will definitely book with Cara again.”

“Jennifer does amazing with our baby Luna as usual! Absolutely phenomenal care, Luna had fun spending the weekend. I highly recommend Jennifer to care for our four-legged babies!”

“AK was amazing. Communicated very well with me and Max was a very very happy dog when I picked him up. That means he felt secure and safe. Will definitely use her again! And she gave him a little toy!”

“I would highly recommend Cindy. I will definitely use her again if the need arises. Took very good care of Katie and updated me daily on how she was doing. Provided several daily photos of her stay. 5 Stars.”

“Jason and his wife were exceptional with my puppy. I had constant updates and pictures. She was always with someone, having, fun, or sleeping. I know she was spoiled! They were also amazing at following her schedule and continuing her command training. I felt really good leaving my puppy with them for a week!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover who’s been caring for dogs since I was 11 years old. I grew up with three family dogs and now have a 2.5-year-old black Lab mix, Dune, who I rescued from Fort Lauderdale in September 2024. Dune does great with dogs of all sizes and loves having friends to play with. I have experience caring for both small and large dogs, including administering oral medications and following each dog’s individual routine. My schedule is flexible, allowing for frequent potty breaks throughout the day. Starting in September, I’ll be working from home 2 days a week and in the office 3 days a week, but I live close enough to come home during lunch for a potty break and some playtime. My apartment complex has a fenced dog park and is large enough to provide plenty of exercise on daily walks. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I’ll care for them like they’re my own and keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re away! Starting September, my schedule will be WFH 2 days/week and 3 days in office. I work 10 minutes from my apartment, so potty breaks will be made during my lunch break! My current schedule is very flexible. My home is already dog-proofed for Dune. Frequent potty breaks will be made as needed for your pet, as well as walks and fetch as needed! Dune and I love to cuddle in bed or on the couch, but if your pet prefers their crate, that’s perfectly fine as well!
“David took such great care of our dog! He sent lots of pictures and we could tell she was very happy and felt safe with him. She can get anxious so it meant the world to us that we didn’t have to worry about her when she was with David. We will definitely book with him again!!”

Nancy was amazing with my nervous rescue fur baby. She helped her feel comfortable and really well cared for, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She sent photos and stayed in touch, so I always felt confident my dog was in great hands. I’d definitely have Nancy watch her again—highly recommend!

Christina is the best. There’s no one else I trust my dogs with. They always come back happy and I can leave them with her and never have to worry about them being ok or safe. She’s a wonderful person and we appreciate the care and loves she gives to our dogs while we’re away.
They are a lovely couple who took excellent care of my dogs while we were on a somewhat stressful vacation. While I was sleeping in a non air conditioned bedroom during a heatwave, with a fractured elbow, my dogs spent a luxury week poolside and enjoying foot massages and beautiful snacks. It’s a wonder that they were willing to get in the car and come home afterwards. I highly recommend booking a stay for your pet.

We have always been so pleased with Yessica and her wonderful care of our Callie, so we had no qualms about booking her for a two-week stay. As always, Yessica provided us with daily reports and photos and responded quickly when I reached out to her. The icing on the cake today was that Yessica gave Callie a bath before I picked her up! She was squeaky clean and adorned with a festive bandana. So happy to have such a pleasant, reliable, and loving sitter for our little girl.

Delta had an amazing time! It was our first time leaving him with someone other than a family member and we felt that he was in great hands! We received updates while we were gone and even a couple photos. Delta had so much fun with the other dogs! Great sitters!
My pups and I absolutely love Vasti and Bryan. They took my 3 pups in last minute when I had another sitter fall through and I’m so so glad I found them. They made my dogs feel like family, sent tons of videos and photos and my pups looked so so happy the whole time. You can tell they really love animals 🥹❤️
Emma was awesome and was totally flexible with scheduling. She shocked us by offering to pick up our Westie at the Clearwater Beach resort so that we could just enjoy a much needed mini vaca. Daisy took to her immediately and was tail wagging from the start! Very happy!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
