My poor dog was sick the day Brit came to walk him. She handled the mess like a professional and still got him out in the neighborhood to do his business. I definitely appreciate the lengths she went to caring for him and would feel confident about booking her for a longer stay.

About: I have been around animals since I was 5. I have had my own pup for 14 years. I've been trusted by family and friends and referred to their friends to watch and take care of their pets. I also enjoy cat sitting and making sure your cat is happy, comfortable, feels loved and while you are out of town. I am conveniently located on the way to the beach, so if you’re wanting to go to the beach for the day, but can’t bring your furry loved one, I am able to watch them while you enjoy the beach stress free. I am a stay at home mom so currently my availability is very open and flexible to taking care of your pet. I do bring my son occasionally, so must be kid friendly. My son loves animals and will be so delighted to meet them! When I come over to your home I will always greet them and give them loving by rubbing their heads, chin, and back. I feed them right away and for the cats I take care of the litter box while they are eating. I always like to leave the areas clean by vacuuming or sweeping up the areas.

Connected with my dog right away. Caitlin clearly loves animals and enjoys what she does. Caitlin took care of everything and sent photos via Rover. My dog, Max, was well taken care of. I feel super confident in asking Caitlin to take care of Max in the future. Responsive, on time, and respectful of property. Highly recommended!

About: More fun than the owners :) I have a lunatic GSP. I have trained this beautiful animal and have a huge soft spot for my GSP Moab. I love working with dogs of all ages to make sure they are comfortable. I work full time from home but have gaps during the day and free on the weekends to help with your pet needs should the need arise. I always treat puppies like they are my own. They first have to trust me in their own space. Then the fun time can commence.

Jen went out of her way with my dogs to make sure they were comfortable with her before I went out of town. I have all rescues and one was very abused prior to adopting him. He is very shy and fearful of new people. Jen agreed to come a handful of times with me home and without me home for him to build a trusting relationship. It worked out so well. I would use her without hesitation any time I need a dogsitter if she is available! Thank you so much!

About: I’m an experienced pet sitter and lifelong animal lover who has cared for both dogs and cats for many friends, family members and neighbors over the years. I’m also a dog mom to two large breeds, a Golden Retriever and a Husky, so I’m very comfortable with big dogs, strong personalities and higher-energy breeds. I work from home, which means your pet will have plenty of company, attention and potty breaks throughout the day instead of being left alone for long stretches. I understand that every animal has their own personality, routine and comfort level, and I’m happy to follow the schedule and care instructions that help them feel most at home. I’m also comfortable caring for senior pets and animals who need medication or extra patience. One of my dogs has epilepsy, so I have experience giving daily medication, monitoring health needs and staying calm when a pet needs additional care. My three-bedroom home also gives me the flexibility to provide a separate, quiet space when needed, along with a white-noise machine to help pets settle in. Whether your pet wants walks, playtime, cuddles or space to decompress, I’ll treat them with the same care and attention I give my own. I work from home full-time, so pet care fits naturally into my everyday routine. I’m available throughout the day for regular potty breaks, meals, walks, playtime, medication and plenty of attention. My own dogs are already part of my daily schedule, so caring for an additional pet doesn’t feel like an interruption—it simply means one more animal to include in our routine. Because I’m home most of the day, pets won’t be left alone for long stretches. I can also adjust my schedule based on their normal routine, energy level and individual needs. Safety and comfort are my top priorities. In my home, I take introductions slowly and supervise interactions with my own dogs to make sure everyone feels comfortable. I have a three-bedroom home, so visiting pets can have their own quiet space if they need time to decompress, eat separately or simply relax away from the other animals. I also have a white-noise machine to help nervous pets settle in. I carefully follow each pet’s normal routine, feeding instructions, medication schedule and any household rules provided by their owner. I keep doors secure, monitor pets during outdoor time and never force interaction between animals. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat their space with respect and make sure their pet receives consistent, attentive care in the environment where they feel most comfortable. I’m happy to provide updates and photos so owners can feel confident that their pet is safe, comfortable and well cared for.

About: My father is a veterinarian so I grew up surrounded by animals. We always had a large number of pets and I always helped with pet-care. Some of the responsibilities I had growing up were; cleaning kennels, cleaning litter boxes, scooping poop outside, assisting with oral medications, bathing, walking, feeding and playing with multiple different breeds. Not only do I enjoy taking care of animals because it makes me feel happy, but I love making them feel good as well! I really look forward to working with you and your furbabies! I currently do not drive so walking and UBER would be my only transportation. I will be looking for customers that are close in my area until I can get a car. I have a German Shepard (who's always looking for a friend) and two cats at home so if your dog is small and isn't comfortable with other pets, I would suggest coming to pet sit at your house instead. I provide pet sitting and walks through the local neighborhood as long it's not too hot or raining. I prefer cuddles over kennels, so your fur-baby will be loved and well taken care of!

About: With a lifetime of experience around animals ranging from kittens to livestock, I offer a comprehensive approach to pet care. I specialize in the foundational stages of a pet’s life, including puppy and kitten training, where I focus on developing positive behaviors early on. Having grown up around farm animals and horses, I am deeply comfortable managing high-energy animals and maintaining the safety of diverse environments. Whether it’s high-needs young pets or large-scale animal care, I bring a calm, practiced expertise to every home. I’m available everyday from 9am - 9pm! My schedule is open since I just moved to Florida (originally from Indiana) about a week ago! I am very flexible and am willing to go above and beyond in every way possible. Whether in my home or yours, my approach is centered on maintaining a structured, low-stress environment. I prioritize consistency, ensuring your pets adhere to their established routines while receiving the specialized attention they need.

About: With over 18 years of dedicated house and pet sitting experience, I provide high-quality care that gives you complete peace of mind while you are away. My clients frequently note that I leave their homes even cleaner and tidier than I found them. Because I work remotely, your pets will enjoy consistent, full-time company throughout the day. I choose not to have pets of my own so that I can remain fully flexible and available for your needs. Whether your pets love active playtime or cuddling on the sofa (house rules permitting!), they will receive abundant attention and affection. Since I work remotely, I can take as many breaks as needed to feed, walk or play with your pet. I don't have any obligations at home that would prevent me from being available and attentive to your pet. I take care of pets in their home, as I think it's less stressful for them than going to a strange, new place. Whether it is just walks and play visits or I'm staying overnight, I spend lots of time interacting with them.

About: 🐾 Wagging Tails, Happy Hearts, Peace of Mind While You're Apart 🐾 I have a genuine connection with animals and a love for them that is difficult to put into words. From as far back as I can remember, I've been drawn to nature and animals of all kinds—big and small. Caring for animals isn't just something I do; it's a lifelong passion that has always been a part of who I am. Throughout my life, I've rescued and cared for countless animals and have a natural ability to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I believe pet care goes beyond meeting basic physical needs. My goal is to provide companionship, enrichment, comfort, and an overall sense of well-being so your pets feel happy, secure, and cared for while you're away. Whether your furry family members are staying with me or I'm caring for them in the comfort of your home, they will be treated with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own pets. I understand how difficult it can be to trust someone else with your beloved companions. Every pet has their own unique personality, routines, quirks, and preferences, and I take the time to learn and respect those details. Maintaining their familiar routines helps keep them comfortable, stress-free, and happy while you're away, giving you peace of mind knowing they're in caring and capable hands. **Specialized Care & Experience** I have experience caring for pets with a wide variety of unique needs and personalities. Whether your pet is shy, reactive, unsocialized, elderly, very young, disabled, recovering from illness or injury, or simply has their own special routines and quirks, I provide patient, individualized care tailored to their comfort and well-being. My experience includes: • Senior (geriatric) pet care • Puppy and kitten (pediatric) care • Special-needs and disabled pets • Reactive, fearful, or unsocialized animals • Medication administration (oral, topical, and other routine medications) • Post-surgical and recovery support • Mobility assistance and accommodations • Maintaining specialized feeding, exercise, and behavioral routines I understand that every pet is unique. I take the time to learn their preferences, triggers, habits, and routines so they feel safe, secure, and understood while you're away. ❤️ Pet care is my primary focus this summer, giving me the flexibility to accommodate a wide range of schedules and care needs. I understand how important consistency and routine are, so I work to ensure their care fits seamlessly into their normal day. Whether your pet needs a quick check-in, multiple daily visits, medication, specialized attention, or full day/overnight sitting, I have the availability to provide dependable, personalized care and plenty of attention while you're away. I strive to provide a safe, comfortable, and low-stress environment that feels as close to your pet's normal routine as possible. In my home, pets have access to a securely fenced backyard with plenty of shade for supervised outdoor time. I share my home with one senior dog and three cats who are accustomed to other animals. Depending on your preferences and your pet's personality, they can socialize with my pets or be kept completely separate. I understand that not every animal enjoys company, and I'm happy to accommodate whatever makes them most comfortable. When caring for pets in your home, I treat your space with the same respect I would my own. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication routines, exercise needs, and any special instructions to help maintain consistency and reduce stress while you're away. I also respect your home, belongings, privacy, and household routines, ensuring both you and your pets feel comfortable and secure. My goal is always to provide attentive, personalized care so your pets feel safe, happy, and loved whether they're staying with me or remaining in the comfort of their own home.

About: I stand out because I treat every dog like my own. I learn their quirks, stick to their exact routine, and keep you updated with photos so you’re never left wondering. With reliable communication and genuine love for animals, you come home to a calm, happy pup who had a great day. As a cat owner, I fit care into my day in small, easy chunks. My mornings are 10-15 minutes to feed, refresh water, and scoop the litter while my coffee brews. Evenings take about 15-20 minutes for dinner, a second scoop, and playtime — my cat is most active at dusk, so a quick wand-toy session helps her settle for the night. Weekly tasks like deep-cleaning the box or brushing take me 30 minutes total. Once I tied it to habits I already had, it became routine and keeps my cat calm and happy. I care for my pets by keeping their routine simple and consistent. Mornings are food, fresh water, and quick clean-up. Evenings are dinner, play or walks, and checking that everyone’s settled. I stick to their schedules, handle meds when needed, and stay on top of vet care so they stay healthy and happy.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
