“Kierra Was so kind to the dogs, very attentive and followed every direction we gave her to the fullest extent. Highly recommend, was able to help us out super last minute. We could’ve have asked for a better dog sitter.”

“Megan was great to meet and easy to get to know. The walk went as scheduled and we got pics. Unfortunately Roxie couldn't give me any highlights, but I know she'd love to have Megan come over again to walk her.”

“Victoria did a fantastic job filling in while my usual walker was on vacation. It’s obvious she takes great care with her furry clients, she was very mindful of the heat outside and made sure my Sydney didn’t get too hot. Would absolutely reach out to her again if I need extra help!”

About: I have experience with dogs and cats, both young and seniors! I also have experience administering oral medication. I've done drop-ins and house sitting! I do have some flexibility in my schedule so we can work together to figure out a time that works! I typically have more availability on the weekends. In my client's home, I make sure that the pet sticks to their routine so they have that sense of normalcy and feel safe!
About: I grew up around countless different species of dogs, whether it be the ones I had growing up or other peoples. Every shape, size, and breed i’ve ever encountered I fell in love with instantly. Taking care of dogs is something that comes so naturally to me being that they have been apart of my life for so long. I can’t wait to meet yours! I am currently working, but it’s always either all morning or all night, leaving me with a whole half of the day for me to take care of any dog in need! My schedule is posted weekly and I will be able to notify you of my availability for the following week every Thursday. I am very open to taking any preferences or suggestions for anyone interested in my assistance, and I will go out of my way to care for your pet as best you see fit!
“Sydney walked our dog walk twice a day for a week while we were out. She sent pictures, a map of the walks, and updates. Our dog Teddy looked so happy in all his walks ?. Sydney communicated quickly and answered all of our questions. Thank you so much we will definitely book with you in the future”

“Kelli was our dog walker for almost 2 years she was great with our dog! So sweet and loving to her I never worried when I was away. Kelli watch our dog at our apt. so that our dog was happy and safe in her own space. Would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a little help with their furry friend!”

“My poor dog was sick the day Brit came to walk him. She handled the mess like a professional and still got him out in the neighborhood to do his business. I definitely appreciate the lengths she went to caring for him and would feel confident about booking her for a longer stay.”

“Kallie, was great and able to cater to all our animal’s needs. She was able to deal with the chaos of multiple dogs, different foods, and different walking schedules. We were so thankful to find someone who was flexible with our schedule and allow our pets to remain in their own home where they feel comfortable. Kallie spent time with each individual pet…above and beyond service!”

I’d love to meet you and your pup soon! 🐾 Pet care fits into my daily and weekly routine by surrounding/involving myself with dogs everyday, whether it’s going to work or walking my rover pups I care for anyones pup as if they were my own. About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats my whole life, and have specifically done pet sitting for 10 years. I love animals and am currently living in St. Pete, as I am a student at USF. I am studying business entrepreneurship, and hope to open my own doggy daycare one day. I care for other peoples pets as well as I care for my own, and will do whatever I can to make your furry friend the most comfortable in my care. I would love to help out with your pets, and have plenty of references for my clients to contact. Thank you! I live in downtown St. Pete, and attend classes throughout the week, but love going on walks throughout my day whenever I can. I will spend a lot of time with your pet, and give them the exercises and care that you recommend is best for them. When going to a clients home, I will always treat your space with respect. I will be accommodating to your pets needs specifically, and do my best to keep your pets happy while you are away.

About: I’m an experienced pet sitter and lifelong animal lover who has cared for both dogs and cats for many friends, family members and neighbors over the years. I’m also a dog mom to two large breeds, a Golden Retriever and a Husky, so I’m very comfortable with big dogs, strong personalities and higher-energy breeds. I work from home, which means your pet will have plenty of company, attention and potty breaks throughout the day instead of being left alone for long stretches. I understand that every animal has their own personality, routine and comfort level, and I’m happy to follow the schedule and care instructions that help them feel most at home. I’m also comfortable caring for senior pets and animals who need medication or extra patience. One of my dogs has epilepsy, so I have experience giving daily medication, monitoring health needs and staying calm when a pet needs additional care. My three-bedroom home also gives me the flexibility to provide a separate, quiet space when needed, along with a white-noise machine to help pets settle in. Whether your pet wants walks, playtime, cuddles or space to decompress, I’ll treat them with the same care and attention I give my own. I work from home full-time, so pet care fits naturally into my everyday routine. I’m available throughout the day for regular potty breaks, meals, walks, playtime, medication and plenty of attention. My own dogs are already part of my daily schedule, so caring for an additional pet doesn’t feel like an interruption—it simply means one more animal to include in our routine. Because I’m home most of the day, pets won’t be left alone for long stretches. I can also adjust my schedule based on their normal routine, energy level and individual needs. Safety and comfort are my top priorities. In my home, I take introductions slowly and supervise interactions with my own dogs to make sure everyone feels comfortable. I have a three-bedroom home, so visiting pets can have their own quiet space if they need time to decompress, eat separately or simply relax away from the other animals. I also have a white-noise machine to help nervous pets settle in. I carefully follow each pet’s normal routine, feeding instructions, medication schedule and any household rules provided by their owner. I keep doors secure, monitor pets during outdoor time and never force interaction between animals. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat their space with respect and make sure their pet receives consistent, attentive care in the environment where they feel most comfortable. I’m happy to provide updates and photos so owners can feel confident that their pet is safe, comfortable and well cared for.
About: I have experience caring for many different breeds of dogs and cats, and I have professional experience with cat and dog care. I currently volunteer at the Humane Society in my free time, and I love learning new ways to connect with and enrich animals. I strive to try to be as flexible as possible with my schedule so my clients can rely on me anytime they need a sitter. I have experience in providing care for animals in their own homes, where they are usually most comfortable. I treat all homes with respect and care, always making sure to keep a clean and safe environment for animals and for clients to come home to.
“I’m SO incredibly thankful I found Jennifer! She takes such good care of my boy when I’m at work. She even treats him to “spa days” by brushing him with a brush she bought for him. She is sweet and patient which is needed with Stryker since he takes a few meetings to warm up to new people. She keeps me updated and lets me know/asks questions if Stryker is acting “off”. Don’t think, just book with her!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
