“Susan was wonderful to put two little pups! She accepted a last minute reservation over a holiday weekend and took great care of the dogs while away. She communicated every day and sent pictures. She was very warm and friendly from the start and her pup and cat treated our dogs well while in Susan’s care. We will definitely use her again!”

“Venus took wonderful care of my puppy (JumO). I liked that my dog got along so nicely with her two dogs. I was concerned because my dog is a puppy and is overactive and a little unruly — those concerns were alleviated. I would recommend Venus as a sitter to anyone. She is professional, caring and very knowledgeable about dogs and cats. I will send my puppy to Venus when a sitter is next needed.”

“Highly recommend Jaime to watch your dog and/or visit your cat while away! I was fortunate enough to find Jaime for our most recent trip to watch our dog Kodi (13 Year Old Lab/Aussie Mix) and to visit our cat Louis (6 Year Old Bengal) during our trip. Jaime was very responsive, sent updates, and is a knowledgeable/aware sitter. Her home is great for pets as well. Kodi seemed to have a great time with her and we’ll look forward to having her stay again.”

“I can’t stress enough how stress-free my trip was knowing Jane and her partner were taking such good care of my girls. I knew they were going to be treated like family and loved on the entire time I was gone. Jane provided updates and videos I was so happy knowing they were happy girls living the beach life as if they were their own. They were excited to see me, but I could tell they felt right at home and would love to stay hunting lizards and squirrels forever. 100% would book with them again.”

I work from home, and provide individual dog care every couple hours via walks, playtime, parks (if applicable), routine feeding schedules, and a lot of love! I have a fully fenced backyard and two dogs at home to keep Rover clients energized, playful, and nearby. Access to nearby parks, multiple walks a day, and sufficient playtime are a must in my house!

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover who’s been caring for dogs since I was 11 years old. I grew up with three family dogs and now have a 2.5-year-old black Lab mix, Dune, who I rescued from Fort Lauderdale in September 2024. Dune does great with dogs of all sizes and loves having friends to play with. I have experience caring for both small and large dogs, including administering oral medications and following each dog’s individual routine. My schedule is flexible, allowing for frequent potty breaks throughout the day. Starting in September, I’ll be working from home 2 days a week and in the office 3 days a week, but I live close enough to come home during lunch for a potty break and some playtime. My apartment complex has a fenced dog park and is large enough to provide plenty of exercise on daily walks. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I’ll care for them like they’re my own and keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re away! Starting September, my schedule will be WFH 2 days/week and 3 days in office. I work 10 minutes from my apartment, so potty breaks will be made during my lunch break! My current schedule is very flexible. My home is already dog-proofed for Dune. Frequent potty breaks will be made as needed for your pet, as well as walks and fetch as needed! Dune and I love to cuddle in bed or on the couch, but if your pet prefers their crate, that’s perfectly fine as well!
“Kolin & Adam were great! They sent daily updates and photos which I loved and made me feel extremely comfortable. Our dog really enjoyed his time and they made him feel like he was at his home away from home. Would absolutely use them again!”

I’m so appreciative of how communicative Ruthie was throughout our fur baby’s stay! From the initial meet-and-greet with her dog, Pete, I immediately felt comfortable and confident having Ruthie care for Luna. Our dogs got along so well, and it was reassuring knowing Luna was in such a welcoming and loving environment. Ruthie kept us updated throughout her stay, which made being away from her so much easier. I would absolutely recommend Ruthie to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, attentive, and caring to look after their fur baby. We would happily have Luna stay with her again!

I can’t say enough about Angel and Kenny. My boys always have a good time. And they are safe and happy. Angel and Kenny always send pictures and are so professional and extremely kind. I never worry when my two boys are there. They are amazing. You’d be lucky to have them watch your fur babies.

Arleen was great! She was sweet, kind and communicative, sending many pics during the weekend. This was the first time booking with Arleen. My Doodle and Chihuahua seemed happy when I picked them up and they have gone back into their normal routine with no issues today. It was five star experience all around.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
