“Gina was the absolute best. She took excellent care if REMY. She made friends with him. Prior to this, he was afraid of strangers. Gina sent us many photos of REMY enjoying himself and being happy. Gina is an excellent pet setter.”

“Trinity was the absolute best! She was timely for our cat visits and left the place looking perfect! Her communication was very much appreciated and she not only was prompt to notify with any questions or concerns but also left cute pictures daily to look at. My cats seemed to love her and I will definitely use her again for any sitting needs as well as highly recommended her to friends and family. Thank you Trinity for making my week away a breeze!”
“Jennifer was wonderful! She has such amazing experience working with cats. My cat, Luna, had gotten a cut on her paw and I had to rush her to the vet before I left for vacation. Jennifer made sure to pay special attention to Luna to make sure she wasn’t limping or hurt. My cats were a little shy around her at first but they warmed up to her. I’ll absolutely hire Jennifer again!”

“Kelly was fantastic! She did so great with my two kitties. They are both pretty shy, but Kelly did a great job letting them warm up to her and didn't rush into trying to pet them. One of my cats constantly hides, and by the last day, she actually came out of her hiding spot! I will definitely use her again. Thanks Kelly!”

“Anastasiia's quick response for a last minute booking helped us feel at ease leaving for our trip out of state. She warmed up to our friendly cat easily and provided pictures daily of them playing. We will definitely be calling her again. Thank you for loving on Lucille!”

“I felt at compete ease with Samantha watching my cat. She was prompt and kept me notified. And my cat that is very shy but did warm up to her. I would highly recommend her care.”

“It was our first time on Rover and we were a bit nervous about using this service. But Pamela was awesome and kept our mind at ease while we were away from our cat. The process was smooth and the daily updates were great.”

“Ryan was so great! I have three dogs. Two pits and a rotty. My rotty is 13 and limps. He is who I worried about the most but Ryan was so patient with him, helped him up and gave him all the pets.”

About: I have experience with my own animals, family members pets while they’re away for days or weeks on end, co workers pets, etc. I have been taking care of fur babies for ten plus years just including personal and family. All animals love me as I love them! I treat them as little babies always🩷 I’m currently a stay at home mom so looking for work during school hours and some weekends. I love all types and sizes of animals! :) I treat them like literal pampered babies lol, with lots of love, attention, always making sure they’re fed, have water, clean, safe, etc. no fur baby will ever be harmed in my care🫶🏼
“Emily Jo was wonderful! I had to leave town of it urgently because of a funeral, she was able to come keep an eye on my chihuahua and my cats. My chihuahua tends to be a bit difficult, wouldn't let her take him out but she fed him and sent me pics of all the pets. She also had great communication! I would definitely recommend her”

About: Although I am new to Rover, I have been around dogs and cats, since I was very little. I have also been, responsibly taking care of dogs since I was young. I love meeting new dogs and being around them as much as I can. Just like people, each dog has their own personality and I love to see each one. Please know that your pets will be well taken care of and will be safe with me. I will treat them like they’re my own. My current job has very flexible hours. I am able to work around your schedules. During the week, I am available to check in on your dog or cat in the morning, during the day, as well as the evening. I have a 6 year old French bulldog who is extremely friendly. I am able to have your dog to roam freely around our apartment, or I can also keep your dog in a crate. It is completely up to you.
About: I grew up on an animal rescue farm in pasco county taking care of cats, dogs of all sizes, bunnies, and reptiles. I am well versed in feeding, walking, washing (cats too), and anything else that is necessary I recently moved and unfortunately can’t have any furry friends, I and a student and part time worker at a restaurant. I can come early and even stay late. I have experience in wrestling bigger more energetic animals and have even broken up fights and recognized the difference body languages to stop fights before the start.

Trinity was an excellent pet sitter! She was incredibly kind, responsive, and took the time to meet with me beforehand for a meet-and-greet, which made me feel very comfortable leaving my pets in her care. I would absolutely recommend Trinity to anyone looking for a reliable, caring sitter, and I will definitely be booking with her again in the future!

Donna was absolutely amazing! She went above and beyond while caring for our sweet kitty, Mimi. Not only did she shower her with love and attention, but she was also incredibly flexible and accommodating while we were dealing with a construction crew working in our home. Donna handled everything with kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. Her daily notes and photos were wonderful and gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear from every update that Mimi was happy, comfortable, and truly loved. We had complete confidence knowing our kitty was in such caring hands. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will treat their pet like family. Thank you, Donna, for taking such incredible care of Mimi!

Samantha went over and above to take care of my two cats. I was completely at ease while I was away, did not waste one minute worrying about them because I knew they were in great hands! I would definitely ask Samantha to come back next time we need someone to take care of Apache and Smokey.

Jennifer was wonderful! A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
