About: I got my first cat at 10 years old and have had pets in the house ever since. I have two cats and a dog at home now. I am proficient in caring for other people's pets and routinely board and walk the dogs and cats of friends. Comfortable with all sizes of dogs for walking and playing. I can make any day work from 9am-7pm with some advanced notice. I am currently working part time and looking to add in some dog walks and check-ins. I will follow any rules or guideline you require when checking in on your pet. I am incredibly flexible when it comes to how you would like me to go about being in your home and working with your pet.
“I booked Shelby for a drop-in visit and she was such a delight! She's responsive and detailed. My dog Sandy warmed up to her right away and Shelby was very sweet and understanding towards her various behavioral needs. I highly recommend her and plan on using her help in the future.”

About: Hi! My name is Ashley, and I would love to walk and love on your fur babies while you’re away! I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life and I love walking in and seeing the smiles when they know they get to go for a walk! I’m a local PreK teacher so my schedule is usually free after 3:30 on weekdays, but my weekends are usually wide open! Growing up I always had animals in my house so I’m very comfortable with messes they make or medicine they need, so if your babies need that too I’d be more than happy to help! If you’re looking for someone to have your pets feel comfortable and happy all day, even while you’re away, I’d love to be that person! I'm currently a PreK teacher at a local elementary school, so my weekdays are open starting around 3:30 pm! On the weekends, I usually hang out at home or around town, so my schedule is pretty flexible! In your home, I promise to follow whatever makes your pets the most comfortable! Whether your dogs like to lounge on the couch or feel more content in a crate, I'll do whatever you'd like!

“I am so thankful to Michael and extremely impressed! He went above and beyond during his drop-in visit with my dog. He keeps you updated and has professional communication. About: Big animal lover. Love taking long walks, if not we’ll do Netflix lazy couch time! Available to watch over your pet during weekends, weekdays, and even holidays! [Check my calendar for availability] 🐶 I do run this business with my dad Carlos who lives with me. So it is a very quiet and peaceful place. He is retired and home full time. And of course, he loves animals as much as I do ♥️ We do nothing but the best to take good care of your pet. I can take up to 2 pets max at the time to ensure my full attention to your baby, yet they will be completely separated/no contact, as my house allows for each to have great space. I absolutely understand how important pets can be for us, and I want to give them the best and safe experience while staying with me! ⭐️ My main purpose is to give you the relief that your pet will be in good hands while you are away! I follow strictly any instructions that your pet needs. I will provide daily updates with pictures or videos. Plus, I will play, walk, feed, and even provide any medical assistance if requested✅ I keep my place very clean and organized to ensure the well being of your pet. For the comfort and hygiene of my home, I kindly ask that all dogs arrive clean and well-groomed (no strong odors, excessive dirt, or fleas/ticks). Else, I would need to cancel the stay without refund. Thank you for understanding! I’m currently working full time weekdays only (hybrid), but rest assured that there will always be someone home supervising your pet. Either is my dad or myself. Note: Drop off and pick up times are flexible, but preferably to be dropped off in the morning before 10AM and/or at the selected times as I plan and work accordingly. Note 2: Please note that it’s on a first come first serve basis. So please make sure that your dates are cleared and booked in order to save your spot. In case of a cancellation, I am able to refund up to 3 days prior the stay. Note 3: I have no issues with arranging a meet and greet, however, I will be having these in my garage. No one will be allowed in the house for any reason. I have a big fenced yard and pets are supervised at all times when outside. There are no kids. If there is another booking, rest assured to know they will be in separate areas of the house and no contact with either one. All animals deserve to be respected and be treated the best of ways! Don’t hesitate to send me a message for any questions, concerns or to schedule a meet and greet! I will be more than happy to answer any questions🐾

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Greater Carrollwood
I was nervous at first booking a rover sitter but Desiree put my fears to rest. She was open to a phone call where we discussed my expectations for taking care of the cats. I went over everything with her and she did a great job taking care of them and providing photos on each visit while I was away. Everything was how it should be when I got back which was really nice. I would definitely “hire” her again.

Jordan was amazing as always! She took great care of our new puppy and our cat who she has cared for before. She is great at communicating and takes amazing pictures to let us know everything is going well. I can’t recommend her enough, we can tell our pets love her too!

Marisa was absolutely phenomenal with our two cats! We have honestly never seen someone care for them the way she did. She treated them like they were her own and always made sure they were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. She even stayed longer than scheduled if she felt they needed a little extra attention, which meant so much to us. Her communication was 10/10. We received thoughtful updates, plenty of photos, and always felt completely at ease knowing our cats were in such great hands. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely loves animals and goes above and beyond, Marisa is the one. We will absolutely be booking with her again!

Jessica was amazing! She came twice a day for a week to care for my cat, Luna, and I couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter. She sent lots of pictures and updates of my little buddy playing, being fed, and getting plenty of love and attention, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. Jessica even brought Luna extra treats and toys, which was such a thoughtful touch. It was obvious that she genuinely cared about Luna and treated her like one of her own. I would absolutely recommend Jessica to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and attentive pet sitter!

“Chris did a great job checking in on my cats. Super reliable, communicative, and clearly has a natural way with animals. Even my more reserved cat felt comfortable around him, which says a lot. He made the whole process easy and stress-free, and I’d definitely trust him with them again.

I've used Ashley a total of 3 times now to take care of my baby. I was gone for 2 weeks on vacation out of the country back in October, then as soon as I got home, I immediately had to leave and fly out of state for a family emergency. She was able to help on late notice. She sends a ton of pictures and is communicative. Plus my sweet little cat likes her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Greater Carrollwood. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
