“Jamie responds quickly and maintains communication. She was patient and understanding with my dog, who is very particular. During the drop-in visits, Jamie was caring and sweet. I absolutely recommend her for any pet needs!”

“I have had the pleasure of Madison watching over my (2) 🐶 🐶 while away. She does a great job interacting with them, walks, pictures and little narrative about her visit. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!”

“I am so thankful to Michael and extremely impressed! He went above and beyond during his drop-in visit with my dog. He keeps you updated and has professional communication. He is considerate and personalized towards your pet and their needs. My favorite part was his understanding towards my dog's anxiety and his attention to her personality. Highly recommend!!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, hamsters, chickens, bunnies, guinea pigs and birds! I love animals and have been pet sitting for over ten years and hopefully many more. My vast experience with different species of pets helps me to adapt and problem solve in any situation. I’m happy to communicate with you and help care for your pets! I am a college graduate and I currently have one dog with my family; she is the highlight of our lives! We make sure she is in good health with her diet and veterinary visits. I have cared for many pets for my friends, family and neighbors throughout the years. I love to see animals thriving in their environment and when responsible, help out with that to the best of my abilities. In our home our porch is screened in for our dog to go outside and sunbathe, we take her for walks, and have specific food for her diet!
“Yaritza took great care of our dog! He’s very nervous when meeting new people but he instantly loved her! She always sent us photos of him and updated us on how he was doing. She even sent some photos of our cats! We will definitely be using her services in the future!”

“I always feel very confident that Our Aidan is well- cared for when Christine is with him. It’s obvious that she loves animals. Thank you Christine for taking such good care of our Aidan😊”

“I was nervous at first booking a rover sitter but Desiree put my fears to rest. She was open to a phone call where we discussed my expectations for taking care of the cats. I went over everything with her and she did a great job taking care of them and providing photos on each visit while I was away. Everything was how it should be when I got back which was really nice. I would definitely “hire” her again.”

About: I have owned 2 dogs of my own, as well as sitting for many friends and family. My very first job at 10 years old was requested by my neighbors to watch their dogs while they were away. I have experience with all ages, including senior dogs, as my own both required a lot of hands on care in their golden year, including bi-weekly fluids, medications and special diets. I work part-time, sometimes in the morning to late-afternoon or late-afternoon to evening, usually 4 days a week. This schedule is not the same every week but I usually know 2 weeks ahead of time. There is someone home everyday after 5pm and all day Friday-Sunday as well. I have a townhouse with a fenced in yard. No ability to crate at the moment but plenty of space to crate if one can be provided. There are currently no other animals in my house, as my Biscuit cross the rainbow bridge last year. Both people in the home have owned pets, and have experience with care. Someone is home most of the time, minimal hours alone if any. Weekends will have someone home all day. House has step that can easily be blocked off by a gate if needed.
“It was our first time on Rover and we were a bit nervous about using this service. But Pamela was awesome and kept our mind at ease while we were away from our cat. The process was smooth and the daily updates were great.”

“Deanna was able to accept a last minute booking to watch our Luna, allowing us to spend more time at parents weekend with our daughter at college. We really appreciate Deanna’s photos and updates of our Luna! Thank you Deanna!”

About: As a cat parent, I know the struggle that parting on trips brings. I have found they do best at home where they are most comfortable with a trusted caretaker. I am in college but rather flexible so I can help you on a case by case basis. My schedule changes due to the nature of classes but if you reach out I can almost certainly help! I offer walks, drop bys and overnights for clients in which I care for your animal and leave with no trace evidence of me ever having been there. Besides the happy animal!
About: I grew up around both cats and dogs. I’ve spent many years volunteering at Animal Shelters. I have 2 dogs that I have had since they were puppies so I am experienced with training if needed. Here for whatever your pet needs! I currently work Monday through Friday but am available during the evenings and night time. I can take care of your pets on the weekend for whatever they may need! I have 2 kind dogs and a fenced backyard for puppy play dates. I am located in a quiet neighborhood with a nearby park for nice walks.
About: I have always been an animal lover since I could remember. I have dog sat and walked many many years. I used to do it full time when I was younger so I figured why not make an extra buck doing something I absolutely love! I am a paramedic. I am an energetic person ready to help your dog burn some of its own energy. I look forward to caring for your dog as much as you would. I have experience with dogs from chihuahuas to retrievers, from puppies to seniors as well as birds. I have two birds of my own. I love them all. Unfortunately no cats in my house due to my husbands allergies. I only work 3 days a week so I am available more days then not. I do not ever work past 4pm so am available most nights. I am always respectful of homes and treat them as I would my own. Your home and pet or pets are safe in my hands.
About: I’ve had pets throughout my life. Most dogs approach me readily. I enjoy giving belly rubs and back scratching. Playing fetch in and outside and giving them attention I am retired and am available 7 days a week and am at home most of the day. I leave a sliding glass door and patio door open for them to go in and out freely I have a fenced back yard with plenty of room to run. I don’t have a a 80lb Black Lab under 2 years old that’s loves playing. I have Airbnb space and welcome pet guests along with the two legged variety. I have a pool for the swimmers and vinyl floors for cool resting spaces I’m retired from a career in accounting so dog care is the biggest part of my day. It give me flexibility to schedule meet and greets an can accommodate drop offs and pickups throughout the day and evenings I work hard keeping your pet safe. I separate dogs at their feeding times to avoid any territorial issues I allow the dogs as much outdoor time as possible I keep hard bones and ropes all around to keep them occupied. Most daycare dogs leave having spent a lot of energy and usually rest well when they get home I am fully retired so I’m home all day most days. If I go out to run errands I’m gone 1-2 hours. Should I be gone longer, I will check your practice that you use there. I’m outside a lot and will let your dog play as much as possible, I do have a covered patio with a tile floor so the can cool down and get water. I have a pool that I can block access when needed Pets sleep indoors and usually in my bedroom floor or my bed when there’s enough room. I allow them on my sofas and the sleep there as well. I feed them twice a day between 7-8am and 5-6pm and treats in between

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Greater Northdale
Alyssa is great. My pets take to her very well. She really engages and interacts with my fur babies and ensures she’s mindful to accommodate any requested needs for either of my cats. She’s punctual reliable and communicates well. I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with her!
Sherri did a wonderful job caring for our pets! She was such a lifesaver being able to help out at just a short notice. First time meeting her and I felt like our animals would be in good hands and they were! I recommend Sherri if you want a reliable and caring person to watch over your pets, 100%! :)

“Chris did a great job checking in on my cats. Super reliable, communicative, and clearly has a natural way with animals. Even my more reserved cat felt comfortable around him, which says a lot. He made the whole process easy and stress-free, and I’d definitely trust him with them again.

I've used Ashley a total of 3 times now to take care of my baby. I was gone for 2 weeks on vacation out of the country back in October, then as soon as I got home, I immediately had to leave and fly out of state for a family emergency. She was able to help on late notice. She sends a ton of pictures and is communicative. Plus my sweet little cat likes her.

I was going away and I'd just lost my previous sitter. I found Madison in my first search. What a relief!! I read her profile and such, which is so impressive and TOTALLY shows her deep dedication to animals. I immediately knew I could trust her with my Babies. She did drop-in visits for my cat, Tucker and dog, Gabby for about 3 days. She not only takes care of feeding them, giving them water, cleaning up after them and generally keeping them company, she also brushed Tucker everyday, which he loves, and she took Gabby for short walks and potty breaks. This is all a 30 minute drop-in! She does not waste a minute of time. So efficient, friendly and dependable. And her reports, or Rover cards, are out of this world. The part that I appreciated most were the notes. She told me everything about the visit. Truly kept me updated about my Babies and things she'd taken care of. I use Pretty Litter and she made sure to tell me right away that there was a color change in the litter where Tucker peed so I could take him to the doc sooner than later. I absolutely feel that during the time she was here, the only thing that mattered to her was them. She has a true focus on the animals and is dedicating her life to them through veterinary service, volunteer service and loving her own animals. And OURS!! She is truly wonderful. My only regret is that I didn't find her sooner. Thank you so very much Madison! 😊

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
