“Jamie responds quickly and maintains communication. She was patient and understanding with my dog, who is very particular. During the drop-in visits, Jamie was caring and sweet. I absolutely recommend her for any pet needs!”

“Kori was great with my Golden Retriever Enzo. She was on time every day while I was gone for a few days! Communicating was great and she followed direction to the letter while caring for my son! Will definitely be Enzo’s step sitter in the future! Recommend to all! Thanks again Kori”

“Madison was amazing! We will definitely be using her again for any other trips we have. She was extremely responsive and sent updates of our cats throughout the whole week. Thank you Madison!”

“Ashley was amazing! We have a timid shelter dog and a large dog that can be intimidating. Ashley was great with both of them. She sent us photos as well as updates on how they were doing. We definitely recommend her.”

“I would highly recommend Yaritza for anyone’s pet sitting needs. She was very accommodating, kind and compassionate during the time she took care of our 2 geriatric dogs. She is also very responsive often times returning correspondence within 30 mins or less. We will absolutely use her again in the future!”

“Camron was consistent, followed directions and punctual. This is great for a service provider. Most important my dog seemed more at ease and happier having had a visit in the middle of the day! Thank You!”

“Jennifer was great with our pup! She went above and beyond to tidy up the couch (he likes to remove all the pillows and blankets) and play fetch to burn some energy!”

“We love the pictures and updates. Being gone 5 days is stressful, but Pamela’s report cards and pictures make it seem less terrible leaving our pet. Plus our dog loves her. Thank you!”

About: I have owned 2 dogs of my own, as well as sitting for many friends and family. My very first job at 10 years old was requested by my neighbors to watch their dogs while they were away. I have experience with all ages, including senior dogs, as my own both required a lot of hands on care in their golden year, including bi-weekly fluids, medications and special diets. I work part-time, sometimes in the morning to late-afternoon or late-afternoon to evening, usually 4 days a week. This schedule is not the same every week but I usually know 2 weeks ahead of time. There is someone home everyday after 5pm and all day Friday-Sunday as well. I have a townhouse with a fenced in yard. No ability to crate at the moment but plenty of space to crate if one can be provided. There are currently no other animals in my house, as my Biscuit cross the rainbow bridge last year. Both people in the home have owned pets, and have experience with care. Someone is home most of the time, minimal hours alone if any. Weekends will have someone home all day. House has step that can easily be blocked off by a gate if needed.
“Desiree was excellent! She had great communication and was professional, providing multiple photos of my cat while I was away for the holidays. Would definitely recommend!”

“Although Payton only watched our pups for a short time during a quick trip, she did an outstanding job! We felt completely at ease knowing they were in great hands. We'll absolutely be using her again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to others!”

“I always feel very confident that Our Aidan is well- cared for when Christine is with him. It’s obvious that she loves animals. Thank you Christine for taking such good care of our Aidan😊”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Greater Northdale
My dog has separation anxiety and tends to bark and howl when he is left alone for a while. Kori did a great job keeping him calm and comfortable while I was out, and there was none of the usual barking. It's a relief to have someone reliable to watch him. Highly recommend!

Alyssa is great. My pets take to her very well. She really engages and interacts with my fur babies and ensures she’s mindful to accommodate any requested needs for either of my cats. She’s punctual reliable and communicates well. I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with her!
I can’t say enough amazing things about Jacob! I lucked out, as he was the first sitter I contacted. He took such great care of my Archie boy. He made sure he knew all of Archie’s needs in advance, and I felt such peace knowing Archie was in such good hands. I recommend Jacob ♾️/10!

Sherri did a wonderful job caring for our pets! She was such a lifesaver being able to help out at just a short notice. First time meeting her and I felt like our animals would be in good hands and they were! I recommend Sherri if you want a reliable and caring person to watch over your pets, 100%! :)

Coco and Sallie were so happy to see Alyssa again. She came to our house twice a day for a Drop In visit while we were away for the day and she took great care of them. It is always great to get the videos and photos. Looking forward to using Alyssa again in the future. Sallie and Coco highly recommend her. Thank you again Alyssa!

had an amazing experience! She took such great care of Max and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. She is bilingual, super sweet, and very communicative. I loved that she sent me frequent updates, messages, and pictures of Max it really meant a lot to me. You can tell she genuinely cares for the pets she looks after.

“Chris did a great job checking in on my cats. Super reliable, communicative, and clearly has a natural way with animals. Even my more reserved cat felt comfortable around him, which says a lot. He made the whole process easy and stress-free, and I’d definitely trust him with them again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
