“Katie is outstanding! She is extremely kind and takes very good care your pet. She leaves great detailed updates and she takes awesome pictures! Katie gave me great peace of mind while I was on a family vacation. 1,000% would recommend her!!!”

“This was our 1st time using Rover. 5 stars!! Hanna did a fantastic job watching our furry son, Oliver. She went above and beyond with her service. We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Hanna. Oliver loves her too!! Thank you so much Hanna. We really appreciate you.”

“Kory did a great job watching my cat Mojo, he spent time with him and gave me updates everyday :) Highly recommend Kory to take care of your pet”

“Addison was so sweet and fast with her responses. She arrived on time and followed instructions thoroughly, & although my girl has a lot of anxiety she was calm and comfortable enough to go for a short walk with her. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy!”

“Bekah was a star sitter!! The best we've had so far. You could tell she really cared for Diesel and spent her time playing with him and giving him so much love during her visit. She followed everything I had asked her to do & more. She cleaned up after Diesel and made sure he had everything he needed. She locked up afterwards and made sure Diesel was set before leaving. I couldn't have asked for anything more. Hoping to hire her again!”

“Natalie took great care of our dog and cat while we were away for a few days. Her communication was excellent and the care she provided was too notch. We will 100% ask for Natalie’s services in the future when we need help with our pets.”

“Always a reliable choice. Goes above and beyond. I never have to worry knowing Jordan is taking care of my Olive ☺️ absolutely recommend if she’s not already all booked up!”

“Isabel was amazing. She came over to meet my cats before I left and they were instantly in love with her, which is not their norm. Usually, my older cat is skittish and standoffish, but he loved her immediately. She took such amazing care of them, cleaning up messes, and playing with them. I came home to no anxiety from my cats, which is super rare. 11/10. My partner and I are going to call her every time we leave town.”

About: I have had dogs all my life, my parents would be at work most of the day so I would take my dogs for walks, feed them, and take care of them. I am committed to creating a nurturing and safe environment for every dog under my care, treating them as if they were my own. My goal is to provide peace of mind to pet owners by ensuring their furry friends receive the highest level of attention and love! I am a senior at George Mason University and have full availability! If I don't send pictures over the Rover app, I send them directly over text:) I follow the pet's established routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, exercise schedules, and any special instructions provided by the owner. I spend quality time with each pet, ensuring they receive plenty of attention, affection, and playtime, reducing any anxiety they might feel in their owner's absence.

“Amanda did an amazing job taking care of my cat Teddy! He has been going through a lot and is on new medication, but Amanda gave him his meds no problem. She was great at scooping his litter box and cleaning up after him. She’s an amazing sitter, will definitely use again!”

About: I treat every pet like family and take the time to learn their unique personality, routine, and needs. I’m dependable, patient, and love keeping owners updated with photos and messages so they always know their pet is happy, safe, and well cared for. Pet care is something I truly enjoy and naturally make time for every day. Since I have a flexible schedule, I can give pets the attention, love, and consistency they deserve. I love going on walks, playing, cuddling, and making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and happy while their family is away. I know how much pets mean to their owners, so I treat every animal with the same patience, affection, and care that I would want for my own. My goal is for both pets and their owners to feel completely at ease, knowing they’re in loving and dependable hands. I care for every pet as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their family is away. I always follow each owner’s routine for feeding, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and any special instructions because I know consistency helps pets feel secure. I’m very active and love being outdoors. I walk my own dog every day, usually around the Riverwalk and Bayshore, and we average about 4 miles a day. Because of that, I’m happy caring for dogs that enjoy long walks, exercise, and plenty of playtime, while also understanding that some pets simply want companionship, cuddles, and a calm environment. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I make sure they receive lots of attention, affection, exercise, and regular updates so their owners can have peace of mind knowing their pet is happy and well cared for.

Bryce did an amazing job taking care of my kitty! He stopped by to feed her and play with her, and she was the happiest baby ever!! I’ve never had a pet sitter spend this much quality time and care with my cat. Highly recommend. He also responds very quickly which is appreciated. 10/10
I was very happy with Naomi’s timeliness, consistent communicate, and obvious care for animals. She cared for my very senior kitty and was able to administer medications, take extra precautions, and be mindful of her quirks and disabilities. I looked forward to seeing all the photos she sent every day she cared for my kitty!

Bekah was thorough and caring towards my two cats. I received pictures and videos with each visit to update me regarding my cats. From the pictures, I could immediately tell how much care and love Bekah gave to the cats. Highly recommend Bekah! Will definitely book again if I am away

Johnny was absolutely amazing with Pepper! He played with her, sent me pictures and updates, and was so sweet and complimentary about her. His communication was excellent, and I felt completely at ease knowing my beloved girl was in such caring hands. I couldn’t have asked for a better person to care for her and would absolutely book with Johnny again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
