About: I treat every pet like family and take the time to learn their unique personality, routine, and needs. I’m dependable, patient, and love keeping owners updated with photos and messages so they always know their pet is happy, safe, and well cared for. Pet care is something I truly enjoy and naturally make time for every day. Since I have a flexible schedule, I can give pets the attention, love, and consistency they deserve. I love going on walks, playing, cuddling, and making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and happy while their family is away. I know how much pets mean to their owners, so I treat every animal with the same patience, affection, and care that I would want for my own. My goal is for both pets and their owners to feel completely at ease, knowing they’re in loving and dependable hands. I care for every pet as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their family is away. I always follow each owner’s routine for feeding, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and any special instructions because I know consistency helps pets feel secure. I’m very active and love being outdoors. I walk my own dog every day, usually around the Riverwalk and Bayshore, and we average about 4 miles a day. Because of that, I’m happy caring for dogs that enjoy long walks, exercise, and plenty of playtime, while also understanding that some pets simply want companionship, cuddles, and a calm environment. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I make sure they receive lots of attention, affection, exercise, and regular updates so their owners can have peace of mind knowing their pet is happy and well cared for.
“Evgenia and her daughter did an amazing job taking care of our puppy, Cooper! From the start, communication was excellent, and they sent us daily updates that really put us at ease while we were out of town. It was clear how loving and attentive they were with him, which meant a lot to us since he’s still so young. We felt completely comfortable knowing he was in such caring hands. We’re so grateful for the care they provided and would absolutely recommend Evgenia to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and kind Rover. Thank you again for treating Cooper as your own!!”

“Madisyn is so kind and easy to work with and she truly cares about your pup you leave in her care. She is great at sending you updates and is has adorable pups of her own. Evie is always so excited to spend the day over.”

“Pamela is the best Rover sitter I’ve ever used! We have used her for many repeat visits and she always sends me frequent updates, has a very thorough Rover card at the end of each visit, and always takes the best care of my dog. Their space is definitely my dog’s favorite place to go (:”

“Crystal was amazing with my puppy! She spent two full workdays with Scout while I had to be in the office, and since Scout is only 12 weeks old and full of energy, that’s no small task. Crystal handled everything so well and made me feel completely at ease. Scout was happy, well cared for, and clearly comfortable with her. I would absolutely recommend Crystal to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.”

“So fortunate to have found Rachel. She has a cozy comfortable place for my two dogs. Her two cats and one dog are so sweet and friendly. I’d recommend her a hundred times.!”

About: My husband and I had a German shepherd for 13 years that we recently said goodbye to and have taken care of dogs/cats of all ages for friends and family. Great with seniors and big dogs. My husband grew up with 5 dogs in his household of all different breeds. Can administer medication and help with training if needed! I work from home twice a week and my husband is fully remote so between the two of us we will be home with your pup all day to watch them closely and ensure they are never alone. We live in a small pet friendly apartment in a walkable and pet friendly neighborhood. We have dog toys, enrichment toys, and dogs beds in the home but please bring your own if your pet prefers! We took our dog everywhere with us and know all the pet-friendly areas should your dog prefer spending most of their time outdoors.
About: I love dogs so much and would love to walk any pups in the Channelside/Water Street/Harbour Island areas! I’m always happy to watch my friends pets and treat them like they’re my own. I would love to walk your pups on both the weekends and weekdays. I work remote so I am flexible! I’d be happy to schedule reoccurring walks as well. I love dogs so much and would be doing this for pure enjoyment! With that being said, I will take care of your pup like they are my own. I am a very cautious walker just because I used to have a small senior dog and will walk your dog with the same care.
About: I grew up surrounded by dogs and cats, so animals have always been a big part of my life. I’ve been dog sitting and walking since high school including senior pups, and handling two pups at a time! I’m comfortable with medications, special diets, and giving plenty of love and attention. I recently moved to FL from NY and miss being around my pets every day. I would love to meet your furry friends, take them on walks, play fetch, and keep them happy while you’re away. I will also share updates so you know your pet is in good hands 😊 I currently work a hybrid schedule in accounting so I have availability for morning, lunch time and evening drop ins / walks on Thursdays and Fridays. I also have availability all day for weekends. I will make sure to leave your pup just as I found them whether that’s crated, gated in or collar free to make sure they stay safe!
About: Hello, my name is Angela, and I’m a life insurance agent who works from home! I love animals, and have taken care of dogs of all breeds, ages, and sizes for many years. I work remotely from home as a self-employee creating my own schedule and occasionally travel, so my time is entirely flexible to accommodate your fur baby(s)! I live in the 915 apartments complex downtown. I am only a block away from the riverwalk where your babies can enjoy leisurely walks, and a safe play environment in the private dog park with obstacle courses. I also have a 14lb Maltipoo that adores other dogs, she is truly the best companion and will make your sweet baby feel right at home!
“Chante was great! We needed someone to watch our 6 month old puppy for a couple of days of daycare and our pup had a great time! She played all day in Chante’s large fenced in backyard with Makeda and came home happy and sleepy! Chante was super accommodating of our schedules and super quick to respond throughout the day. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for someone to watch their pups!”

About: Hello! I have over 5 years of experience caring for both cats and dogs. My experience includes daily walks, playtime, feeding, administering baths, and pet boarding. I am passionate about providing pets with attentive, reliable care and ensuring they feel comfortable, safe, and happy while their owners are away. Pet care is already a regular part of my routine. I make time each day for walks, feeding, playtime, and giving pets the attention and care they need to feel happy and comfortable. I currently live in a gated community with a dog park available. I will/ can provide transportation if need be, and 24 hour service for your pet!
About: I’ve spent my whole life caring for animals and understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your animals. I have experience caring for pets who need extra attention, including senior pets, anxious pets, and animals with medical needs. I’m also comfortable giving medications and following specific care routines, as I have my own pets who require daily medication and extra support. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine, and I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide consistent attention and care throughout the day. I enjoy planning my time around each pet's needs, whether that means walks, playtime, feeding, or simply keeping them company. My biggest priority when caring for pets is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I’m very attentive when it comes to feeding schedules, medications, behaviors, and changes in mood or energy. Having pets of my own, including ones with health needs, I understand how important it is to follow instructions carefully and notice when something seems off.
About: I have been dog walking and pet sitting since 2015, it started out looking after my neighbor’s 2 dogs and before i knew it, the good word spread around in my neighborhood and i became the local pet sitter, everything grew after that. Not to mention i have been around dogs my whole life, my mom had 3 growing up. i realized that although im able to make money from this, it doesn't feel like a job to me at all because i absolutely love animals and i feel good taking care of them. i can say that i have found my passion in the process. i provide 5 star service and keep great communication with the owners. i am very trustworthy, and have many references to support my claims which are available upon request. i love what i do and if you allow me the opportunity to show you, i will provide great value to you and your pet’s needs. i am able to fulfill custom requests as well. anything else you would like to know just ask me, i am very transparent and personable. Thank you for the opportunity! God bless. i left my former job in 2019 to become a full time pet caretaker. my schedule is flexible, and i will most likely be able to meet your availability needs. i have set up my home to be a very safe and pet-friendly environment, they have space to roam around inside and outdoor availability as well. There is also a very nice dog park in my neighborhood. i am very respectful when entering other people’s homes and i view it as a privilege that they trust me in their home. i mind my own business and only do what the owner asks of me. i treat other’s homes as i would want mine to be treated.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Tampa
If I could leave a 6, I would. When we drove up to Kiran’s place, my dog started getting nervous and crying a bit. He knew we might leave him, and he was worried. Then he met Kiran and sprinted out of the car. Right to Kiran. Barely looking back. My husband said, “Is she a dog whisperer?” She must be. My dog had a fantastic time, and Kiran sent pictures throughout his stay. She only does one dog at a time. So I wasn’t worried about my dog’s compatibility with another. It was a great experience. You should absolutely trust Kiran with your loved pets. She’s great!

Stephanie was amazing with my puppy Waylon! I had a last minute concert after just moving to Tampa and was so relieved to find someone I could trust. She kept me updated the entire time with photos and videos which gave me so much peace of mind. Waylon had the best time playing with Rory and came home happy and tired which made my next work day so much easier. I will definitely be booking with Stephanie again!

Jessica was an amazing dog sitter for my dog Toby 🐶🦴. From the start, she was super friendly, reliable, and clearly loves animals. Toby can sometimes be a little shy around new people, but he warmed up to her right away, which says a lot. She kept me updated while I was away and made sure Toby got plenty of attention, walks, and playtime. When I came back, he was happy, relaxed, and clearly well taken care of. I’d absolutely recommend Jessica to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter. Toby and I will definitely be booking with her again in the future!

Raquel is beyond amazing. I’m hesitant to leave a review because she is so incredible, we don’t want her to get too busy for us. Just kidding. She has become a part of our family and daily life over the last few years - with our last angel dog, Hank, to our spirited puppy. We joke we co- parent with her and couldn’t have a dog without her. We are so grateful for her love, care and support of our dogs that I thanked her in my masters graduation speech because it truly takes a village. We couldn’t speak more highly of her and we think Carl sometimes comes home bummed he can’t stay with his other mom and all his friends. She is truly meant to work with animals and it shows. Thank you.

Alise was wonderful! She is incredibly kind, friendly, and easy to communicate with. She kept us updated throughout with photos and videos, which we truly appreciated and made us feel at ease. We’ll definitely be using her services again and highly recommend her!

Madisyn truly went above and beyond. My puppy had a hurt paw at the time, and she took such great care to keep it clean and make sure she was safe and comfortable. She was very attentive and sent great updates, which gave me so much peace of mind. I’m incredibly grateful for the care she provided and would absolutely trust her again.

Kerry is the best! She updated me several times throughout Scooby’s daycare stay with pictures. He had an amazing time with his friend Tony too. Scooby did not even want to play tug of war when we got home which told me all I needed to know about his day. I will be requesting Kerry again for sure.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Tampa commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
