“Shelby is fantastic! He walked my dog, and my son's dog, and he handled it perfectly. I really appreciate that he accommodated a booking with only about 24 hours' notice. He always does a great job, and I feel confident knowing my dogs are in good hands. I definitely highly recommend Shelby for anyone looking for reliable, positive, and professional dog walking services! 🐾”

About: From a young age, we’ve nurtured a deep love for animals, caring for a wide range of pets with tenderness and compassion. We’ve always felt a strong connection to the animals we look after, seeing them as beloved companions. One of our proudest achievements is raising our dog from a puppy, guiding her through training to become a well-behaved, affectionate adult. We’ve also had the privilege of caring for a neighbor’s senior dog, providing comfort and companionship. This experience reflects our genuine passion for animals and our commitment to their happiness and well-being. We work remote with flexible work hours and have a dog of our own. She often goes for walks and of course requires some belly scratches. Our home has a fenced in yard and we personally have a 8 year old cocker spaniel that loves to play but then also likes to chill. She matches the energy around her. We do not have dog crates, if your fur baby is crate trained, we request you provide a crate for their stay.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and caring for animals has always been a huge part of who I am. I have experience caring for puppies, senior dogs, and a variety of breeds including Border Collies, Black Labs, Pit Bulls, German Shepherds, and smaller high-energy dogs. I’ve also fostered dogs, which helped me become patient, attentive, and adaptable to different personalities and needs. I truly bond well with animals and treat every pet like family, giving them lots of love, attention, playtime, and care while their owners are away. My schedule is flexible! I work part-time on my own schedule, attend classes, and an internship, but I’m free Monday/Tuesday/Thursday evenings. Thursday mornings, and all day Fri-Sun. I have plenty of time to dedicate to walks, playtime, companionship, and making sure your pet feels comfortable, cared for, and loved. Your pet’s comfort and safety are my top priorities. I always make sure pets feel secure, loved, and cared for while sticking closely to their routines and needs. I’m very attentive, caring, and communicative, and I love sending photo updates so owners can feel connected and reassured while away. I understand how important pets are because they truly are family, and they deserve the same love, attention, and care even when their owners can’t be with them.

“Addison is the best! So sweet and caring for my dog. Shes attentive, prompt, on time, and communicative. Would highly recommend Addison for your pet care needs :)”

“Matthew has been so great and understanding, I appreciate his kindness and flexibility with my difficult schedule and Nico always looks so happy when he walks him!”

About: Started dog-walking/-sitting in my pre-teens. Owned 3 dogs during this time (two part-Lab and one Great Dane. All rescues). Kept a small, growing business which consisted of walking or being paid to stay a week with a dog. This continued until early 20s. Have since continued to sit family's, friends', and family friends' dogs over the years. No matter the size or breed I always manage to find a friend in new dogs. Epileptic, old, and those requiring medicine are not a problem. Whether or not they adhere to commands isn't a problem. I've had very obedient dogs and known many that ran the house. Either way, we'll get along fine. I'm only out of the house for 6 hours at most. My old lady used to need a lot of attention, so I'm used to life revolving around a dog upon entry, before leaving, and taking a break every 30 minutes to give some love. Private back lawn. I have a designated spot in a public walkway for food and water but can move as needs depict. Doors to back rooms are shut when not being used. Nothing heavy or sharp that can fall or come in contact with your pet. I had a 17.5 year old so the house was made as safe as possible for her.
About: As I’ve always grown up with dogs, I understand their needs, behavior, and routines. I’m a reliable, attentive walker and sitter who treats every dog like my own, ensuring they feel safe, exercised, and cared for while keeping owners updated and confident. I currently work part time from home and have the flexibility and ability to tend to the animals needs and am able to accept last minute requests! I provide a safe, structured, and loving environment tailored to each pet’s routine. In my home, I maintain a clean, pet-friendly space with plenty of supervision, regular walks, playtime, and feeding on schedule. I keep pets comfortable and stick closely to their normal habits to reduce stress.

“Anthony has been a godsend with my sweet boy, Finn. He’s always happy to see him and cries when he leaves because he wants more of his time! Bethany took wonderful care of Apollo! I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands while I was away. She was caring, attentive, reliable, and treated Apollo with so much love. It gave me great peace of mind knowing he was safe, happy, and well cared for. I truly appreciate everything she did for him and would absolutely trust her with Apollo again. Highly recommend Bethany! 🐾❤️

Naomi was an amazing dog sitter that was always extremely reliable and fast to respond. We regularly used her for walks and dog sitting for our older dog. She was easily able to accommodate his health issues and provided him with excellent care and love with every booking. I highly recommend her as a dog sitter and walker!

Stephanie was amazing with our dog who required a little extra care and attention in his old age. She was able to easily accommodate his health issues and was always extremely reliable and willing to go the extra mile to ensure our pet was taken care of and loved! We used her regularly for walks and dog sitting and were always happy with her reliable service and swift communication.

Elizabeth helped me out sooo much!! I did not think I could get help so last minute, but Elizabeth stepped in and helped us beyond our expectations. She made sure our puppies Scooby and Goose got their energy out with long walks around the neighborhood. She went the extra step and made sure our dogs were comfortable before she left by making sure they had enough water and many pets! She sent many updates and pictures of our dogs enjoying their walks. I definitely recommend her and i will be without a doubt leaving my pups in her care when we are out of town again.

Jolie was FABULOUS! I was super nervous leaving my sweet Daisy when going on a week trip, but Jolie made the trip stress free and easy for this anxious dog mama. She sent lots of pictures and took Daisy on plenty of fun walks while I was away and treated her like her very own. Daisy and I will definitely be using her services again and we would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend her. Thank you so much 🩷

Ahmad was a true savior to step in with minimal notice and do a 23 day booking when Nena's primary caretaker had a medical emergency. Completely professional, great communication and every picture I received of Nena...she was smiling ear to ear! Nena was in great spirits when I finally got home after a long and difficult trip, I knew she was in good hands!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
