“Haley took the best care of my baby. She gave constant updates and made sure she was happy and gave her so much love and care. Along with just taking amazing care of my pup, Haley is super kind and was quick to take care of her even though it was very last minute.”

“Highly recommend! Thaís and her husband took great care of my dog. Her two dogs are very sweet. She kept me updated throughout with pictures. I will definitely rebook.”

“Bre was absolutely incredible with our dog. She’s extremely communicative with multiple updates and pictures daily. Our’s and her dog, Marco, got along great and our dog can’t wait for us to leave town again.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for decades and will treat your babies like the royalty they are. My home is their home when they are here. I’m home all day with my three babies, so I have the capacity to frequently take your kiddos on walks & playtime out in the fenced yard I have three dogs on my own that are friendly after getting acclimated to other visiting dogs. I have a completely separate room if needed for solitude while boarding.
“I left my two poms with Ada for about a full week. They had the best time and were even sad when they left ?. Ada sent us pictures and videos everyday to update us on how our pups were doing. she and her husband are just great. Definitely will be a return client.”

“This is our second boarding with Eugenia and her daughter. Our pup was showered with love and attention! He seems very attached to them. Communication was great!”

“Katherine and her family were wonderful with our dog, Simon. We got daily updates and photos of him having a great time, so we never had to worry how he was doing. Simon enjoyed his vacation as much as we did!”

About: Hi everyone! New to Rover after pet sitting from word of mouth and referrals back in North Carolina. I am flexible with pricing to start generating some bookings and reviews in FL! I have been pet sitting for over 10 years with all types of dogs. I have experience fostering dogs of all breeds and sizes, most which come from bad situations and need help with their confidence and training, so I am able to help potty train and work through other issues. I have one small dog, Nemo. Care would be private (only your dog and Nemo) safety is my first priority, and they will be watched at all times! My avalibility is set only for days that I will be able to be home 24/7. If other days are needed and your dog is good to be by themselves for any certain time, message me and I will be more available !! I work from home Monday and Friday and reserve my weekends for spending time with my pup. My dog Nemo has separation anxiety so I am normally home with him all day, or bring the dogs with me to a local restaurant or park to get outside and be active. This will be a private service, only Nemo and your dog. I am very attentive and will be able to send lots of pictures to you!
“Chante was wonderful with our dog, Summer! She did a meet and greet with us beforehand, which made us feel completely comfortable. During Summer’s stay, Chante sent us daily pictures and updates. Summer was well cared for and happy doggo. She had a great time with Chante and her dog. We’ll definitely be rebooking. Highly recommend!”

“Highly recommend! My pup had been attacked unprovoked in the past and Grant was so patient & kind with Shay and my own anxieties. His pup Koda is so sweet and they were best friends! 100% will use Grant again.”

“I’m so grateful to Madisyn for taking such great care of my dog Griffey while I was away! She provided updates and photos throughout his stay which I appreciated. Madisyn is kind and caring, and I knew my dog was in great hands with her. I definitely recommend Madisyn to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy sitter!”

“This was our first time leaving our girls since the pandemic started, so we were a bit nervous. Nelly took great care of our two terriers for a few days! She sent updates and pictures throughout their stay as well. I would highly recommend Nelly! We will certainly hire her again.”

“Our Sunny always has a great time while we’re away. He’s young and we’re still working on training. We appreciate the willingness to continue with routines while he’s there. Excellent communication as well. We will continue using them as long as they’ll have him.”

“Our original sitter canceled last minute due to a family emergency. I contacted Stephanie less than 24 hrs in advance, and she was able to accommodate our stay. My dog Loki can be very timid at first in new environments, but with time was able to open up within Stephanie’s home. She makes sure to send daily photos, updates, and also will take your dog for daily walks. I felt extremely comfortable having Loki there, and would book again in the future!”

“Always amazing!! My dog loves boarding with Iliana!! She always has such a good time there and she is always well taken care of!! I definitely recommend and will continue bringing Roxie here for boarding!”

“Grace was a wonderful sitter for our boy, Gumbo! She kept us updated every day, which gave us so much peace of mind. Gumbo clearly loved being around her and her family—he came home completely tuckered out and slept like he had clocked in for a full shift. We’re so grateful for how well she cared for him!”

“Fant has enjoyed a 10 day stay at Windelll’s place with lots of play, love and exercise in the large backyard. If you are looking for a safe place for your dog(s), I absolutely recommend Windell.”

Sidney was just the sitter my cat needed. I reached out super last minute during a move and she happily took Atlas in for the week. He seemed to enjoy his stay so much I almost felt I was an inconvenience picking him up. If you need someone dependable that will show love to your little ones look no further. I will continue to utilize her services as long as she is providing them.

Ada is an ANGEL. She took amazing care of my dog Lucy for 4 days. On the last day, my flight was unexpectedly cancelled and she gladly kept Lucy an extra night and even drove to my house to get her more food since I didn’t pack enough for the extra day. I always feel so comfortable knowing my dog is in her care.

Addison was absolutely fantastic to my pup Dallas. She provided timely updates ( pictures and videos) on their day time activities and his overall temperament while we were away. She took extreme care in making sure she fully understood his behavior and favorite activities to make his stay that much more special. I look forward to booking with her again in the future!

I highly recommend them! They took wonderful care of my pet this weekend and gave me complete peace of mind. They were kind, responsible, and attentive, making sure my pet was happy, safe, and well cared for. I truly appreciate their dedication and would definitely trust them again. Thank you for doing such an amazing job!

Katie was amazing! I was so afraid to leave Elvis at someone else's house/with someone he doesn't know but she gave my little guy the 5-star treatment and made sure he was comfortable the whole time! She asked great, thorough questions about his routine/any special needs/etc at the meet-and-greet which was a big green flag. She also sent lots of photos and updates during his stay, and made sure he had everything he needed before I dropped him off. Her pups were extremely friendly and got along great with Elvis, who can be quite shy at first. She has a beautiful, clean home with a nice big backyard that Elvis loved to hang out in. I will be using Katie for all future stays for Elvis and would 100% recommend (coming from an anxious dog mom!).

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
