“Kassi's stay with Diana was great. Our anxious dog immediately felt comfortable in Diana's home. We received updates and pictures! We definitely recommend Diana's home away from home!!”

“Nancy was incredible with Broly! He stayed only a weekend with her and was very sad when he came home! She gave him all the cuddles and loving he wanted. Nancy was easy to communicate with and provided multiple updates throughout the entire weekend. 10/10!”

“Our dog Margaux had the best time staying with Autumn and their dog Baylor. Autumn was a very thorough caretaker and sent us lots of pictures and videos while we were away. She gave us plenty of updates and our dog looked sad to leave them when we picked her up! We will definitely be contacting Autumn again for our future Rover needs.”

“Tamara is good for Shaggy. She has patience and cares about her stays. She washed his bed and covers before I picked him up. That says alot about Tamara.. We will be back as needed.”
“Bailey Too obviously had a good time at Lynn’s home. In the pictures she sent daily showed him engaged in his favorite activity: sleeping in the sunshine. He did play with her “Bella” to play a bit. I believe Lynn did a great job in caring for my older dog and will use her service again.”

About: I have been around animals my entire life and have experience caring for both dogs and cats. In addition to owning pets, I have pet sat for friends and family and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. My family is very pet-friendly, and my children love interacting with pets through playtime and affection while I provide all care and supervision. I am committed to ensuring every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home and homeschool my children, which allows me to be available throughout the day for walks, feeding, playtime, potty breaks, and companionship. Our family spends most of our time at home, providing pets with plenty of attention and supervision. While my children participate in sports activities on some evenings, pets are never left unattended for extended periods, and I plan my schedule to ensure they receive consistent care, exercise, and affection. My flexible routine allows me to accommodate each pet’s individual needs and maintain their normal schedule as closely as possible. When caring for pets in my home, I focus on creating a safe, comfortable, and loving environment where they can feel relaxed and at ease. I follow each pet’s regular routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, exercise, potty breaks, medication administration (if needed), and plenty of playtime and affection. Because I work from home and homeschool my children, pets receive frequent attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. My goal is to make every pet feel like part of the family while ensuring they are safe, happy, and well cared for during their stay.
“Fantastic experience! We have always boarded our dog, but Kate came highly recommended from our neighbor. Great communication, updates and photos. Highly recommend and will book again! 5 stars 🌟 !”

“Julia is awesome!!! My furry companions were in great care the entire stay. They were spoiled as if her own and my puppies loved every minute of it...LOL. I highly recommend Julia to anyone needing pet care!!”

“July 1st and 2nd our two poodles stayed with Nicole. She is very sweet, took wonderful care of our fur babies, and even sent us a lot of photos of them playing or lounging around with her other dogs. We highly recommend using Nicole! - The Carters from Freeport, FL.”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities since I was 15 years old. Friends and family trust me to feed, walk, and spend quality time with their pets. I’m patient, attentive, and make sure every dog feels safe, comfortable, and loved. I also have experience with puppies, and I always follow each pet’s routine closely. I’m a stay-at-home mom, which allows me to provide consistent, attentive care throughout the day. Your pet will rarely be left alone and will get plenty of playtime, potty breaks, and supervision. I’m available for boarding on weekends and most weekdays, with a flexible schedule to meet your pet’s needs. I provide a safe, clean, and loving home with a fully fenced yard for supervised outdoor play. I have two friendly Poodles and a Pomeranian and always do slow, controlled introductions to make sure every pet feels comfortable. If a dog prefers space, I can easily separate them. I also offer crate care if needed and follow your pet’s routine closely. You’ll receive regular photo and video updates for peace of mind while you’re away.
“Salta was incredible with keeping us in the loop with how our dog was doing, including lots of pictures. Salta communicates very well during our dogs stay and made sure he was happy and taken care of the whole time. Duke is looking forward to his next stay!”

“Michelle was an amazing cat sitter, I couldn’t have asked for anyone better to take care of my little guy. She was kind, responsive, and sent updates regularly while I was away. She is officially my go to cat sitter for future needs 💜”

About: My extensive professional training in animal handling and behavior sets me apart. While many sitters enjoy pets as a hobby, I have dedicated my career to their welfare. I am a National Animal Control Officer (Level II), which provides me with advanced training in safe animal handling for both dogs and cats, as well as emergency response protocols. My Special Skills Include: Certified Behavioral Knowledge: I hold a certification from Jackson Galaxy (since 2016), allowing me to manage anxiety and behavioral issues with a fear-free approach. Senior & Medical Care: Through my non-profit rescue work, I am highly skilled in caring for senior animals, including administering varied medications (injections, fluids, pills) and managing mobility issues. Trust & Reliability: I run a professional organization, so you can expect the highest level of communication, punctuality, and attention to detail. My schedule is entirely flexible because pet care is my professional focus. As the founder of a non-profit rescue, I have the autonomy to adjust my daily workload to ensure I am available for early mornings, critical medication times, and unexpected last-minute needs. Reliability is guaranteed. I care for every pet with the rigor of a professional rescuer and the heart of an advocate. Safety First: My background as a National Animal Control Officer (Level II) influences every decision I make. I am trained in risk assessment, meaning I proactively identify hazards (loose screens, toxic plants, escape routes) before they become problems. I am also fully trained in pet CPR and First Aid. Building Trust: Trust is built through consistency. Running a non-profit organization requires impeccable ethics and reliability. Whether in my home or yours, I adhere to strict feeding and medication schedules. A Low-Stress Environment: Using my Jackson Galaxy certification, I prioritize the pet's emotional well-being. I don't force interaction; instead, I use positive reinforcement and body language cues to build a bond. I am experienced in maintaining a sterile, healthy environment, ensuring that food bowls, litter boxes, and living areas are kept to rescue-grade standards of cleanliness.
“Ania was the sweetest! She was so super caring and patient with Dexter. We got daily updates on how he was doing. Our dog made himself right at home with her and so glad she provided exceptional care while we were away!”

Danielle watched my dog for a couple of nights and made the entire process comfortable for me and him, it was my first time leaving my dog without a family member and I was super nervous, she made sure to always communicate, she sent pictures while I was away and even accommodated him when he wouldn’t eat his food, couldn’t have asked for a better sitter as she took care of him like her own! Thank you Danielle!!

Thank you so much for you and your family taking King in. He was always smiles and is so calm after picking him up. I really appreciate everything you and your family did and I hope you and the kids enjoyed the company. He is a really a huge lap dog 😂 thank you again for everything

Really enjoyed having Jewal watch Ryder! She was flexible and I loved that she only watches one pup at a time to make sure there needs are met. Her dog Pepper was the cutest, and I loved that Jewal made sure to feed the pups separately. I also liked that she has a huge backyard and lots of room for them to play/exercise! I would love to use Jewal again in the future. I definitely recommend!
Here’s a short and thoughtful Rover review you can leave for Aaliyah: Aaliyah was great! She was communicative throughout the stay and took wonderful care of our dog, Leo. We felt at ease knowing he was in good hands. Highly recommend! We'll definitely be repeat customers 😊

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
