“Linda was very patient with Monty and she provided a loving space for our dogs to feel at home. Once he settled down he was attached to Linda's side. Linda sent several photos and it was nice to see our dogs and Linda’s dog all getting along and clearly feeling at home. Thank you for taking care of our dogs and the assurance that they were well cared for allowed us to truly enjoy our vacation.”
“Nicole is amazing! I love her energy, passion, and love for caring for our fur baby. Her communication was amazing. Thank you so much. I will be using her services again in the future.”

“Garrett is the best dog sitter. He always sends me a text letting me know how my pup is doing. He is kind and polite. My dog always has a great time! I will use Garrett every time.”

“We were very fortunate to have found Rosalva to watch our dogs and they had a wonderful time! She spoiled them like they were her own & sent pictures of them relaxing with her. We are so glad they behaved well & definitely recommend having your dogs stay with her.”
“Joan was AMAZING with my diabetic cat. There are no words to describe how nice she was to me and my baby. It's been a very stressful beginning to what may be a long journey with diabetes. She put my mind at ease and I was comforted with her experience on handling the necessary insulin shots that he needed. She was also kind enough to stay with my cat on a night when he was having a hard time. She went above and beyond with making him feel at home. I can't thank her enough. I wish I could rate her 10 stars!!! :-)”

“I left my 14 month old Yorkie with Karley overnight for the first time since I brought him home. I have never felt more peace than when I left her beautiful, inviting home. Immediately the anxiety I had about leaving “Brutus” disappeared and I enjoyed a night of fun. I received pictures and video of him happy and having a ball! I picked him up and he was happy to see me but really wanted her to hold him. Haha. (Make Mommy feel bad)! I would recommend her to everyone I know! Kind, intelligent, gracious are just a few words that could be used to describe her. I would 100% recommend her to anyone for any loving pet service!!! Thank you isn’t enough for knowing my pup was is such great hands!”

“We were very nervous leaving our 10 year old dog with anyone. His first time in someone home without us being around. The sitter went above our expectations. Diesel felt right at home. We received photos and messages throughout his stay.”

“Rebekah is great dog caretaker. I left my dog for a week with her and she send me pictures of my dog Honey everyday, keeping me updated on how’s she’s doing daily. Her two dogs are very playful and my dog enjoyed playing with them everyday. She told me and showed me pictures of her dogs and my dog playing together and having a great time together. She is a great dog caretaker, in the future when I go on vacation again, I will bring my dog back to them again!!”

“Jessica was great with my high energy 11 mo lab for a 5 night stay. Our pup has had issues drinking and peeing with other sitters, but not with Jessica! Came home happy and healthy. Quick and easy pick up and drop off, very responsive and flexible.”

“Awesome amount of yard space the doggies love that Lara was extremely kind patient & attentive with both our dogs cleanliness often getting bathed which was an extreme plus for us since we don’t like stinky dog smell Loved every time I’d get pictures of them both always outdoors enjoying the yard and playing with the bigger dogs;)thanks Lara definitely recommend her services to anyone who is need ;)”

“Nancy is super sweet and made our pitbull, Athena, feel loved and welcomed. I'm pretty sure Athena missed them on her first day back home. Would recommend and would use again.”

About: Hi! My name is Danielle, and animals have always been a big part of our home. We recently lost our beloved 14-year-old dog last October, and while we’re not quite ready to adopt another pet yet, we truly miss having animals around and caring for them. Pet sitting feels like the perfect way to share that love again while helping other pet parents feel at ease when they’re away. I understand how important it is to know your pet is safe, comfortable, and treated like family. We have many years of experience caring for dogs and are very attentive to their routines, personalities, and needs. Whether your pet loves playtime, walks, cuddles, or just a calm and cozy environment, we will make sure they feel happy and cared for while you're away. Our home is full of love, patience, and attention, and your pet will be treated as part of the family. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else, and I take that responsibility very seriously. I’d love the opportunity to care for your furry family member! I work from home, so I’m able to give pets plenty of attention, supervision, and care throughout the day. I’m home most of the time during the week and also available on weekends, which allows me to keep a consistent routine for feeding, potty breaks, walks, and playtime. Your pet will rarely be left alone and will be in a calm, comfortable home environment. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a calm, loving home where pets are treated like family. I have a toddler who has been raised around animals since birth and has always been very gentle with them. Because of this, I only accept pets that are comfortable around children. My son does not interact heavily with pets, but any interaction is always supervised and gentle. I make sure every pet feels safe, relaxed, and cared for while staying with us.

“Lorena had taken top tier care of my senior guy Luke and my bernedoodle Noelle. I’m always nervous leaving them but she had provided outstanding updates, communication and over all experience for them and myself 10/10 would recommend!”

“We cannot recommend Jolie enough! We were very reluctant to leave our 1 year old chocolate lab for a few nights. Our dog was on a treatment for an upset stomach and we weren’t sure how that would work. We admit we are high maintenance worrisome dog parents ?. Jolie expertly explained the process and all of our questions putting us at ease. Our puppy is super playful and her dog Zane was very gentle yet played great with her. The two dogs slept together like they had known each other for a long time. We will absolutely continue to use Jolie!”

“Words cannot express how thankful we are for Bob and Keri! We can leave town and not have to worry one second about our babies and the care they are receiving. If anything, they might just spoil them a bit TOO MUCH!! I don’t think they like to leave! 🥰 Our Goldens can surely be a handful at times but they are treated like a king and queen at their house. We highly recommend!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Wimauma
I was really nervous about boarding my dog in someone’s home because he can be reactive around certain dogs and prefers to be the more dominant dog. Karley let me bring him over before booking to see how he did around her dogs and he was great. He had such a wonderful time with her and her dogs. She gave me lots of updates, pics and videos which made me feel good about how he was doing and also behaving as a guest in her house! I’ll be using Karley again in the future. Thank you!

Katie was really nice and took great care of our dogs while we were on vacation. She sent us regular photo updates, which we really appreciated. She was also very good at making sure they were fed on their routine and had plenty of playtime. Overall, 10/10, we will definitely book her again in the future. Much love from Ashe and Dekdi. 🐾

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
