“I left my 14 month old Yorkie with Karley overnight for the first time since I brought him home. I have never felt more peace than when I left her beautiful, inviting home. Immediately the anxiety I had about leaving “Brutus” disappeared and I enjoyed a night of fun. I received pictures and video of him happy and having a ball! I picked him up and he was happy to see me but really wanted her to hold him. Haha. (Make Mommy feel bad)! I would recommend her to everyone I know! Kind, intelligent, gracious are just a few words that could be used to describe her. I would 100% recommend her to anyone for any loving pet service!!! Thank you isn’t enough for knowing my pup was is such great hands!”

“My dog April was treated like royalty with Kathryn and her husband. They are great people and truly love and care for animals. They even sent April home with a souvenir. Definitely recommend her!”

“Garrett is the best dog sitter. He always sends me a text letting me know how my pup is doing. He is kind and polite. My dog always has a great time! I will use Garrett every time.”

“Linda was a wonderful sitter for my 1 year old Cockapoo. I was a little nervous about finding a sitter when we moved in September. Thanks to Rover and Linda I found a way to be comfortable about leaving my baby. After having a meet and greet with Linda, I was sure that I found the right person. I was happy when she advised me during the day and sent cute pictures. It made my weekend away so much better knowing my puppy was well taken care of.”

“Camila provided a great home environment for Ziggi to feel comfortable and was able to extend his stay for me on short notice, which meant so much to us! Thanks Camila!”

“Amy is super amazing and my dogs loved the time they spent with her and her family. We didn't even leave the driveway when they let me know that they miss her home and all of the fun that they had.”

“Christopher was a greater sitter for my puppy Malcolm. This is my second time using him. He always gives great helpful updates and pictures. He is very reliable with following routines and keeping Malcolm safe during his stay. I will surely use Christopher’s services again. I recommend him to everyone.”

“Joan took great care of our Oliver. It was his first time having to stay away from the family and she made him feel comfortable. We loved getting all of the photos of our little guy while he was staying with her. We will contact Joan the next time we take a trip that isn't puppy friendly :)”

“I can't give Nattalie enough stars for how well she took care of our pup while we were away. We loved the frequent updates complete with video and pictures. Nattalie has a very kind and sweet demeanor and you can tell she really loves her doggo charges as if they were her own. Our pup seemed very happy and at ease and maintained her normal routine. I'd definitely trust Nattalie again with our dog next time we have to go away!”

“Lynn took such good care of my girl during my trip out of town. Celine stayed with Lynn over the 4th of July weekend and made Celine feel safe as she is afraid of fireworks. She also did really well with Lynn’s dog and they played together.”

“My dog had only stayed with my FIL when we went away but he passed away this year and we were stressed not knowing who to leave him with. We interviewed multiple people and chose Lexi and her sweet family. She was so great at keeping in touch throughout our 2 week trip. He was so well taken care of and they went up and beyond to accommodate our schedule when we had traveling issues. Im certain he cant wait for our next adventure away where he can go stay and play. Lexi and her family are the best and we are thankful to have found them :)”
“Catherine was so sweet! She was very prompt in responding to my questions and flexible when my return flight was delayed. My dog had a wonderful time with her and will be visiting again soon!”

“Yaima and her family took good care of my pup. We had a meet and greet before his stay and my pup was immediately comfortable with Yaima. They have a large backyard that is fenced for the dogs to play. Yaima sent pictures to show me that our pup was adjusting well. He even turned belly up to get some good belly rubs. I recommend Yaima for boarding needs.”

“Truly amazing! Very communicative with prompt responses and lots of pictures and updates. We are thankful to have found this wonderful family to help us with our pups. Thank you! We will always recommend you and use you in the future.”

“Danielle watched my dog for a couple of nights and made the entire process comfortable for me and him, it was my first time leaving my dog without a family member and I was super nervous, she made sure to always communicate, she sent pictures while I was away and even accommodated him when he wouldn’t eat his food, couldn’t have asked for a better sitter as she took care of him like her own! Thank you Danielle!!”

“Nicholas was awesome with Zeus. For the 2-1/2 weeks we were gone he kept us infor.ed and sent pictures frequently. I realized the day after we left that I had missed Zeus' heart worm protection and Nicholas went out of his way to pick up a dose at my vet. We highly recommend Nicholas and will absolutely use his services again”

“This was the 5th time leaving our Dash with Salta. She is amazing and she takes good care of him. He loves going over and staying with her. This time he was there for 4 nights and he was so happy!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Wimauma
Kaity and Sebastian are truly wonderful! We have used them twice now and we have been thrilled with the care that they have provided for our two dogs. It is clear that they have truly bonded with them and it is so nice to have peace of mind, knowing that they are in capable and caring hands. Thank you so much, as always and we look forward to our girls staying with you again!

I was really nervous about boarding my dog in someone’s home because he can be reactive around certain dogs and prefers to be the more dominant dog. Karley let me bring him over before booking to see how he did around her dogs and he was great. He had such a wonderful time with her and her dogs. She gave me lots of updates, pics and videos which made me feel good about how he was doing and also behaving as a guest in her house! I’ll be using Karley again in the future. Thank you!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
