“Danielle watched my dog for a couple of nights and made the entire process comfortable for me and him, it was my first time leaving my dog without a family member and I was super nervous, she made sure to always communicate, she sent pictures while I was away and even accommodated him when he wouldn’t eat his food, couldn’t have asked for a better sitter as she took care of him like her own! Thank you Danielle!!”

“She was amazing! She handled my doggo so well and took such good care of him! We got constant updates and a multitude of pictures and videos. She is very well rehearsed in handling dogs!”

“Fran is my go to cat sitter and every experience has been great. She is reliable, trustworthy and incredible caring. I never worry when I’m away because I know she will take great care of Carlisle. From feeding to administering medication Fran handles everything with ease and professionalism. I can’t recommend her enough : )”

About: I have attended formal dog training classes. I have fostered 40 rescue dogs for the past 3 years. I currently have three of my own and two fosters at home. I believe fostering is not just about providing a home, but is also about building trust and respect, teaching the rescue dogs basic obedience and social skills. I hope I can help you with your pet care needs with my experience. I currently work at home full-time with a flexible schedule. I can provide dog walking service any time of the day including weekdays and weekends. I have a fenced - in backyard. Doggy day care dogs will have multiple play sessions with my pack outside. They will also get walks daily.
“This was our first time using Alicia and our 11 year old dog had previously been going to another lady for several years. His first night with Alicia he was a little sad and unsure but he acclimated quickly. Alicia was very responsive to us when we reached out and made him feel safe and secure.”

“Great sitter! They've got kids and dogs at the house, and I think all that company made Cotti really comfortable — she settled right in. Easy to communicate with, no stress on our end. Would definitely book again.”

About: I’m an animal lover but dogs hold a special place in my heart. I get excited to see any dog and enjoy giving them the attention they deserve. I’ve owned dogs of my own for most of my life and have experience caring for older dogs with special needs. I work remotely and travel part time for work. While I’m in town my schedule is very flexible to fit your pet’s needs. I’m happy to be someone you and your pet can depend on I care for pets as if they were my own. Dogs are easy to love so giving them attention is the simple part but dog owners can rest assured as I’m detail oriented and can keep up the same schedule they have when you’re home
“Carol is amazing! We’ve used her twice now. Both times last minute and she’s accommodated us. She sends updates throughout the stay. She takes amazing care of our pup and we’re so grateful to have found her.”

“Audrey and Karson were amazing with our dog, Panda! He’s over 100 pounds and a big, strong boy, but they handled him so well. Even though he’s almost 10 years old, he still acts like a puppy, and they were incredibly patient and attentive with him. They watched him for two nights, and we felt completely comfortable knowing he was in great hands. It’s not always easy finding someone confident with a large dog, but they exceeded our expectations. We would absolutely recommend Audrey and Karson and hope to use them again in the future!”

About: I have raised and cared for dogs my entire life, so anticipating a pup's needs is second nature to me. From managing daily feeding and exercise schedules to administering routines with patience and love, I treat every dog like family. Growing up with dogs means I understand their subtle body language and know how to keep them comfortable, safe, and happy while you’re away As a medical student with a mostly home based schedule, I offer near-constant companionship and flexible care. My campus is just 5 minutes away, and my in person classes top out at only 1 to 2 hours a day. The rest of my time is spent studying right from home, going on daily walks and runs, and relaxing outdoors, meaning your dog gets plenty of attention, frequent potty breaks, and an active, attentive companion all day. I live in a quiet apartment complex with an on-site fenced dog park, which gives pups a safe spot to run around off-leash right near home. Inside, I keep things clean, calm, and dog-proofed, with plenty of room for them to relax while I’m studying. Whether I'm hosting at my place or staying at yours, I take safety seriously and doors stay secured, routines are followed to a T, and I'm super attentive to how a dog is feeling. Plus, you can count on regular photo updates so you know everything is going smoothly.
“Lorena had taken top tier care of my senior guy Luke and my bernedoodle Noelle. I’m always nervous leaving them but she had provided outstanding updates, communication and over all experience for them and myself 10/10 would recommend!”

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover with three cats of my own, and I’ve created a comfortable space on my 5-acre property specifically with pet sitting and boarding in mind. Your pet will have plenty of space, attention, playtime, and a cozy home-away-from-home while you’re away. I love getting to know each animal’s individual personality and routine, whether they’re energetic and playful or happiest relaxing and getting lots of attention. I’m also happy to send plenty of photos and updates so you can see how your pet is doing throughout their stay! I have a flexible schedule and spend most of my time at home, so your pet will get plenty of attention throughout their stay. I’m available throughout the week for boarding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and lots of one-on-one attention. I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and at home. I’ve set up a separate guest house specifically to provide pets with a comfortable, peaceful home away from home. My property has plenty of outdoor space for supervised walks, playtime, and exploring, while the guest house gives pets their own cozy space to relax indoors. I’ll always follow your pet’s normal routine, feeding instructions, and any special care needs, and I’m happy to provide plenty of photos and updates throughout their stay.
“We had such a fantastic experience with Anna taking care of our little Belle. She was incredibly attentive, responsible, and clearly passionate about animals. Belle came back to us after a week happy and well-cared for, and we couldn't be more grateful. We got 2 updates a day with pictures and we really appreciated it. Highly recommend Anna for anyone looking for top-notch dog care.”

“Laurie was a tremendous Rover sitter for our Peaches. Peaches looked happy in all the pictures we received. Laurie was true to her word that she would send multiple photos a day, which is exactly what we loved the most. She is very responsive and caring. I would Highly recommend anyone looking for a Loving Family for their pet to choose Laurie. She will be our #1 chosen sitter from now on!!”

“John and Gemma were amazing!! They made me feel so comfortable leaving my pup with them. They sent updates throughout his stay and were very accommodating for his needs. I would definitely book with them again!!!”

“Viktoryia was flexible and accommodating with our tight travel schedule and kept us updated with plenty of photos while we were away. Finn looked happy and well cared for. Thank you!”

“Jewel was so kind and detailed taking all the info I had for Luna since she is Diabetic and on special diet. Has a fenced in yard and walks the dogs. She brought out her two precious little princesses to meet Luna and they were so adorable. Her detailed text with pics of Luna’s daily events made my day. Thank you so much Jewel. I can see Luna was super relaxed since picking her up and her usual cry whining just didn't happen. It usually takes her three days to get chill again when I leave her. Thank you and your pups for her great stay away from home. 💖 You were the perfect pick for Luna.”

Carla was amazing with our sweet boy!!! This was our first time leaving him and she took such great care of him! She sent me many videos and photos of him and that made me feel at ease while on vacation. I highly recommend her and this will be Brownie’s go to place for sure whenever we travel!

Hannah is simply the very best! I wanted to have our senior dogs in a calm environment and Hannah's home was the perfect spot. Hannah sent updates/photos and I never had a moment's worry about our "old men" being well taken care of. If Hannah's calendar is open for your dates - book now!
Maggie had a great time at Daniel's. Of course she did. Daniel knows dogs. He is attentive and caring. He provided frequent updates and photos. Maggie enjoyed spending time with her new friend Kahana, running and playing in Daniel's large fenced yard. She told me she is looking forward to her next visit.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
