Pet care experience

Fully dedicated, reliable, caring

Hello! I’m Carla, a dedicated stay-at-home mom and reliable dog sitter. I’ve been caring for dogs on Rover since February 2018, and I’ve loved welcoming many pups into our home during that time. As a lifelong dog lover and owner myself, I truly enjoy meeting new owners and learning all about their furry family members. We recently added a sweet Golden Retriever named Obi to our family—he’s brought even more joy and tail wags to our days! Our home is happy, peaceful, and pet-friendly, with kids (14+ years old) who adore playing, cuddling, and helping care for guest dogs. Everyone here treats visiting pups like part of the pack. I specialize in incorporating your dog’s routine into ours while respecting what matters most to you—whether that’s specific feeding times, walk schedules, medication, or quiet downtime. My top priority is ensuring your dog feels comfortable, welcome, loved, happy, and fully cared for every moment. I provide daily exercise (like backyard play and scenic walks), plenty of attention, scheduled feedings, and regular photo/video updates so you can relax knowing they’re in good hands. Meet & Greets are essential for me, for you, and especially for your dog—it helps everyone feel at ease and builds trust right from the start. I don't skip this step because I want you to feel completely confident that your pup is with someone dependable, flexible, and accommodating. I’d love to hear more about you and your lovely dog! Message me to set up a Meet & Greet—I’m excited to chat and see if we’d be a great match. 🐶

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience for our beagle, Luna. Throughout her stay, Carla provided regular updates, photos, and videos about how Luna was doing. Carla created such a warm and welcoming environment and you could tell that Luna was genuinely cared for and treated like part of the family. What really stood out was Carla’s attentiveness to Luna’s routine and personality. We would absolutely trust Carla and her family again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and genuinely loving care for their pet.

Carla is the absolute best! Leaving our dog for multiple days with someone outside the family was nerve racking and terrifying! But Carla welcomed him into her home like he was part of her family and loved him so well while we were away! She kept consistent communication, updating me and sending me plenty of videos and pictures him playing and going on long walks. Any time we need someone to take care of our boy, we'll definitely be calling Carla!

Tremendous care for our golden retriever! Kept in communication daily to put us at ease during our travels as our pup was still in recovery from being spayed. She was very well taken care of and came home very happy! Very grateful for Clara and her family ❤️

I can’t thank you enough!! After a last minute cancellation from another Rover pet sitter I contacted Carla late in the evening the night before my trip. She responded immediately and agreed to care for my pup. Rosie spent an extended weekend with Carla and her puppy Obi!! She played her heart out and had a great time!! Thank you for everything!!

Schedule

We spend most of our time at home during both weekdays and weekends. My husband works remotely, so there’s always at least one person present. Short outings for kids’ activities are planned around your dog’s routine—meals, walks, potty breaks, and backyard play. Any alone time is limited to about on weekends. This setup provides consistent supervision, multiple daily interactions, exercise, cuddles, and photo updates so your pup stays happy and secure.

Safety, trust & environment

We have a big backyard and there are also nice walk paths, nature and dog park. I love to be outside and provide as much exercise as your dog needs.

Pets

A typical day

We start with morning potty in the backyard, breakfast, and a short walk around the neighborhood. During the day there’s backyard play—fetch, running around, or just hanging out. If they’re chill, it’s mostly couch time, belly rubs, or puzzle toys for treats. Evening brings another walk or quick backyard romp, more potty breaks, and lots of attention with photo updates sent to you. Everything stays relaxed and flexible so your dog gets exercise, love, and rest without being over-scheduled. 🐶

1) Does your dog have separation anxiety? 2) How does your dog react to other dogs? Since I accept more than one dog at a time, I can't take dogs that won't get along with other dogs. 3) Do they need a lot or little exercise? It is important for me to know so I can add more walks/exercise if needed. 4) Are they house trained to pee/poop outside?
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
