About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats for my entire life, including my current two dogs and three cats, so I’m very comfortable with different personalities, routines, and energy levels. I’m used to feeding schedules, walks, playtime, litter boxes, water bowls, cleanup, and keeping a close eye on how pets are acting day to day. I’m patient with shy animals, happy to give energetic pets extra play and attention, and comfortable caring for senior pets or pets who need a little extra gentleness. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pets, so I’ll always follow your instructions closely, communicate clearly, and treat your pets like they’re my own. Pet care is already a big part of my everyday routine! I have two dogs and three cats of my own, so feeding schedules, walks, playtime, water bowls, litter boxes, and little pet check-ins are second nature for me. My schedule is flexible, and I’m happy to work with your pet’s normal routine as much as possible so they feel comfortable and cared for. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and general pet care visits, and I’ll always make sure your pet gets attention, patience, and updates while you’re away. For both cats and dogs, I focus on keeping their routine as normal, safe, and low-stress as possible. In your home, I’ll follow your instructions closely for feeding, water, walks, potty breaks, litter boxes, medications, crates, gates, treats, playtime, and house rules. I’m careful with doors, leashes, windows, fenced areas, and making sure pets are secure before I leave. For dogs, I’ll pay attention to their energy level, leash behavior, and comfort with people or other animals. For cats, I’ll respect their space, check hiding spots, keep litter areas clean, and make sure each cat is accounted for. I’ve cared for both cats and dogs for many years and currently have both, so I’m comfortable with different personalities, ages, and routines. I’ll send updates and photos so you know your pets are safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away.
“Joan took amazing care of my two miniature dachshunds! I was so appreciative of all of the photos and detailed reports she gave me from each drop-in visit. Very professional and trustworthy! My dogs absolutely loved her! I will definitely be using her services again!”

“Jamie did an excellent job taking care of my Truley, six-year-old female cat. I appreciated her daily photos so I could see that Truley was well and behaving normally. That made me much more comfortable about leaving her for a few days, knowing she was in good hands. I can fully recommend Jamie for pet care, twice-daily drop in visits were just the right thing for me and for Truley.”

“Dylan is awesome!!!!! This was our first time using him and we are already booking him again. He is so good! Very thorough, communicates exceptionally well, pays attention to detail and took great care of our baby. Definitely 5++ stars!”

“Angelina is amazing, can’t thank her enough for handling the adversity of my baby getting sick and dealing with last minute unexpected apartment situations. 10/10 would recommend again and again.”

About: Hey there! I am looking forward to sitting, walking, or playing with your fur baby. We just moved here from Hawaii so I am getting used to living in the states but so far I love it. I have experience talking care of dogs since I was 10 and have a furry baby of my own. I am in nursing school so I am able to functionally use any critical thinking skills to take the best care of your animal💛 I am wide open to fit your schedule. I am also an online student in college but that is very flexible to fit your schedule. I have a big living room for your pet to stay and I have a labradoodle terrier who is very sweet but we would need to introduce him to your dog to see did they’re compatible:) I love playing fetch and go find in the house and I would be taking them for multiple walks a day.
“Tatyana was amazing with my boys. Showed them lots of love and took lots of pics while I was gone. She went above and beyond. I will definitely use her again in the future!! Michelle smith”

“Fran is awesome with Toby. She plays with him and send detailed updates. Fran is also willing to make schedule adjustments and stop by at early morning or late night visits which is very much appreciated.”

“Daisy is an exceptionally skilled petsitter, who loves animals and goes above and beyond for all the pets in her care! She took great care of my two cats and made the time to play with them and also send photos every day!! I highly recommend Daisy to anyone who wants a dedicated and conscientious sitter for their pets!”

About: Hello, my name is Melanie! I've had dogs all my life both small and large. Over the past 12 years I have been pet sitting and dog walking for both friends and family. I am an experienced sitter who you can trust to take amazing care of your pup. I take any (and all) opportunities to snuggle and go on fun adventures with dogs. If you have an athletic or active dog we can do walks, swimming, even to a play date at the park. If your dog is less active, we can bring our activity level to where your dog is most happy and comfortable I am currently a SAHM so my schedule is open and very flexible 7 days a week to care for dog walks or drop in visits. I will be happy to provide photos and updates during walks/drop in visits. Any and all instructions you leave for me will be followed with the utmost care to keep your little buddy happy!!
About: Hi! I’m a dedicated dog lover with hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages, temperaments, and energy levels — from young puppies to highly trained military and police working dogs. This range of experience has taught me how to confidently handle everything from playful, high-energy dogs to older dogs who need a calmer, gentler approach. I currently have two Dobermans of my own, so I understand firsthand the importance of structure, consistency, exercise, and trust when it comes to caring for dogs. Being a dog owner has strengthened my ability to read body language, understand behavior, and create a safe, comfortable environment for every dog I work with. I offer dog walking and drop-in visits with a flexible schedule, making it easier to accommodate your pet’s routine and your busy life. My training background gives me an extra edge in reinforcing good habits, handling strong or energetic dogs, and adapting to each dog’s individual needs and personality. Whether your dog needs a long walk to burn energy, a quick potty break, playtime, or just some dependable companionship while you’re away, I’m committed to providing professional, trustworthy care with plenty of patience and attention. I know how important it is to feel confident leaving your dog with someone else, and my goal is always to make both you and your dog feel comfortable, safe, and cared for every step of the way. I have recently returned from working overseas and am taking some time for myself; currently I am not working and am super flexible due to me being home all during the week. I have a fenced in backyard, and have a little dog that is super friendly. Or if your dog likes to be active we can definitely spend a good amount of time out walking.
About: I grew up all around pets, both big and small, energetic and chill! Growing up, I had 3 dogs and now I have my own domestic, long-haired cat, as well as a German shepherd mixed dog. When I was 11 years old, I started looking after my neighbors' pets for weeks at a time! This included: -Administrating ear drops -Administrating oral medication -Feeding/hydrating -Walking -Bathing -Playing!!! -And now, plenty of litterbox scooping I've also taken care of blind dogs and many senior dogs who need extra special care and gentleness. My neighbors and family have relied on me many times in the past to take care of their sweet fur babies, and I enjoy every bit of it! I am currently a part-time barista that works early morning shifts, and I will begin college courses in August! I will be taking online classes, so I can continue flexibility with my schedule for your little munchkins. I always allow your pets to approach me first so as not to disturb their peace. I come to them with gentle hands and a smile on my face! I will treat your furry babies like I would my own... With all my love and patience!
About: I’m a dog trainer, reptile educator and small scale snake breeder (so I have experience caring for hatching snakes), and have fostered cats, dogs and reptiles. I have worked with animals since I was a small child. I’ve trained my own service dog and love training with young puppies and giving them a confident foundation. I regularly go bike joring with my own dog. I’ve always lived with cats and am very comfortable caring for them. I own many reptiles and am experienced with snakes and lizards, I’ve also worked with horses (rode competitively for 9 years and managed the care of four horses) and other farm animals. I’m not afraid of exotic animals like invertebrates and have some experience with them and with fish. I moved recently from Georgia and so my schedule is a little sporadic but free, I have a car to get around and can travel with animals easily. I regularly take hikes with my own dog, and have a car kennel for safe transport (the brand is Ruffland). I always double check doors are closed and locked as I had a dog when I was a kid who escaped because of a sitter. I follow instructions very carefully and treat every animal I interact with the way I’d like someone to treat my own pets. I keep pet reptiles and can feed and care for yours if need be.
About: I’m an animal lover but dogs hold a special place in my heart. I get excited to see any dog and enjoy giving them the attention they deserve. I’ve owned dogs of my own for most of my life and have experience caring for older dogs with special needs. I work remotely and travel part time for work. While I’m in town my schedule is very flexible to fit your pet’s needs. I’m happy to be someone you and your pet can depend on I care for pets as if they were my own. Dogs are easy to love so giving them attention is the simple part but dog owners can rest assured as I’m detail oriented and can keep up the same schedule they have when you’re home

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Parrish
Carla was awesome! She took wonderful care of our two cats while we were away last week. She visited our home twice a day, was always punctual, fed them, played with them, and kept us updated throughout our trip. From the very beginning, she was friendly, responsive, and easy to work with, which made our first experience with a pet sitter a complete success. We would be very happy to have her care for our cats again!
Bethany was fantastic with our pups! She was so helpful— recognizing that there was a gap in drop ins while we were away (totally MY error— I copied over the wrong day!) and reached out to ensure the pups were covered during that gap(they wouldn’t have been!)— and filled that gap when needed. When we returned — the pups were happy and healthy — and even our normally anxious pup was in good spirits! Highly highly recommend Bethany!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
