About: I bring over 15 years of professional caregiving experience as a nurse, along with hands-on experience in pet sitting, professional dog walking, and veterinary support. Caring for animals is truly a passion of mine, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I am comfortable caring for dogs, cats, senior pets, and animals with medical needs. My medical background allows me to confidently administer medications (oral, topical, and injections when needed), monitor for health changes, and respond calmly in emergencies. I am currently available weekdays and weekends. I’m available from 6 AM to 6 PM. I am available for both drop in visits and walks. As a caregiver by profession, safety, reliability, and compassion are my top priorities. Pet parents can feel confident knowing their animals are in the hands of someone with medical training and a lifelong love for animals.
“Tristin is amazing. My dog Kairo loves her and enjoys going on walks with her. She has been our house sitter for about 2 months now and I have nothing but great things to say about her. Communication is amazing and you can tell she genuinely cares for him.”

“I cannot say enough good things about Anna! When my original travel plans fell through at the last minute, and I was suddenly without a sitter, Anna was an absolute lifesaver. She responded quickly through Rover, arranged a meet-and-greet almost immediately, and took detailed notes on each of my cats’ care routines. One of my boys requires oral medication, which can be tricky, but Anna handled it like a pro. Even more impressive—my most skittish cat, who usually disappears whenever someone new enters the house, actually came out during one of Anna’s visits. That’s never happened before. Throughout my trip, Anna was attentive, compassionate, and extremely thorough. I got regular updates, photos, and little notes that showed she was truly paying attention to each cat’s personality and needs. I highly recommend Anna to any pet parent, especially if you have cats who need medication or are shy, picky, or overly particular (like mine!). I returned to a calm, clean house and five very content kitties. Thank you, Anna!”

“Naisha was excellent. Understanding, helpful and on time. She walked my dog daily and I was able to see how happy he was. Respected my hime and kept things very professional. Thank you.”

“Elaine kept me informed with great communication and pics every day! My cat was in great hands and I’m sure that she enjoyed Elaine playing with her while I was away! Thank you Elaine!!”

“This is my second time booking with Lisa, she did a great job. When she came over to get the keys my dogs were so excited to either hear her voice or smell her sent Niko was crying and howling. They would have remembered if it wasn’t a good experience for them and wouldn’t have been eager to see her. I definitely will have her watch my babies again.”

“Donna was amazing! She was able to get me out of a pickle last minute and for that I am forever thankful. She was very intuitive in asking questions to make sure she properly cared for my babies. She did an amazing job and the zoo was very happy with her and greeted her every day. To include my most skiddish cat!! Thank you Donna! I look forward to having you back!”

“Linnea did an amazing job. I needed a last minute sitter to drop in and check on my dogs and she was very communicative, efficient, and caring. She was also very flexible and went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. I appreciate her so much.”

About: My extensive professional training in animal handling and behavior sets me apart. While many sitters enjoy pets as a hobby, I have dedicated my career to their welfare. I am a National Animal Control Officer (Level II), which provides me with advanced training in safe animal handling for both dogs and cats, as well as emergency response protocols. My Special Skills Include: Certified Behavioral Knowledge: I hold a certification from Jackson Galaxy (since 2016), allowing me to manage anxiety and behavioral issues with a fear-free approach. Senior & Medical Care: Through my non-profit rescue work, I am highly skilled in caring for senior animals, including administering varied medications (injections, fluids, pills) and managing mobility issues. Trust & Reliability: I run a professional organization, so you can expect the highest level of communication, punctuality, and attention to detail. My schedule is entirely flexible because pet care is my professional focus. As the founder of a non-profit rescue, I have the autonomy to adjust my daily workload to ensure I am available for early mornings, critical medication times, and unexpected last-minute needs. Reliability is guaranteed. I care for every pet with the rigor of a professional rescuer and the heart of an advocate. Safety First: My background as a National Animal Control Officer (Level II) influences every decision I make. I am trained in risk assessment, meaning I proactively identify hazards (loose screens, toxic plants, escape routes) before they become problems. I am also fully trained in pet CPR and First Aid. Building Trust: Trust is built through consistency. Running a non-profit organization requires impeccable ethics and reliability. Whether in my home or yours, I adhere to strict feeding and medication schedules. A Low-Stress Environment: Using my Jackson Galaxy certification, I prioritize the pet's emotional well-being. I don't force interaction; instead, I use positive reinforcement and body language cues to build a bond. I am experienced in maintaining a sterile, healthy environment, ensuring that food bowls, litter boxes, and living areas are kept to rescue-grade standards of cleanliness.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
