“Angelina is amazing, can’t thank her enough for handling the adversity of my baby getting sick and dealing with last minute unexpected apartment situations. 10/10 would recommend again and again.”

About: I offer a safe and fun place for your dog(s) to visit while you’re away. No meet and greets are required if I can accommodate your booking request, however, if you prefer to have a meet and greet prior to making a booking for boarding, I ask that you please book a drop-in visit so that I can get to know your pup 😊 I have always had a dog growing up. Your pupster will be in loving hands with our family! Traveling? I have weekends available. If you need weekday service let’s talk to see if I can accommodate you and your pup! We’re a pretty active family and the pups are generally free to roam. I have a fenced backyard and my neighborhood has plenty of sidewalk space. Your pup will be loved on by me, my 6 year old, and our pup from the moment they enter our home. Don’t be alarmed if your pup is spoiled by the time you pick them up :-)
About: I’ve volunteered at rescues, worked for a guide dog school, grooming salons and pet food stores and learned a lot of tricks and wisdom in my 13 years of owning and working with animals. Rescuing cats and dogs has been part of my life since I was 12, I know how to care for them at any stage of their life! I can handle giving medication, topically or orally. I can trim nails and bathe as an extra service and brush out a coat if given the right tools and opportunity. Walking around the neighborhood is no problem for me and taking pictures to update you is my specialty! I currently work part time and work full shifts Monday and Tuesday until 7pm; Wednesday and Saturdays are partial and end by 3pm so afternoons with your pup or kitty should be fine with me :)! Thursdays and Friday are free for me and I should have ample time to check on your pets more than once! Leaving me with a list through text or paper to follow about your little ones feeding regimen and/or medication will allow me to double check that everything is done with you before I leave. I will want to stay with your pet for at least an hour or more and give them the enrichment and socialization they need and will update with pictures to make you feel included :). I will take them outside for a potty at least 2x (once at the beginning and once at the end) and a walk in between to ensure they have an ample chance to use the bathroom. I will check around the house where they have access to ensure they haven’t gotten into anything or made a mess and if they have I will report it promptly to you through text or call depending on the urgency to not leave you with any surprises! At the end of the visit I will take a picture or short video of the pet to give you the peace of mind that they are safe when I leave.
About: I love dogs! I have had dogs my whole life & have cared for so many over the years. We currently have a 9 year old corgi/lab and a 4 year old Aussie doodle at home. I am a nurse full time, so hanging out with dogs makes my off days so much better! I work night shift, so am available throughout the day when needed usually. My schedule is very flexible and the nights I work change every week In my home, my dogs own the house haha just kidding. My dogs have a very relaxed, free lifestyle they live. I will care for the pets of others like my own, but will follow requests of the owner!
“Jessica is amazing with my German Shepherd, who can be very dominant with new people. She handles him confidently and gets him to behave every time. I highly recommend her.”

About: We have grown up with different breeds of dogs, cats and birds. We have grown so fond of all fur-babies. We would like to provide a space for your fur-baby when you have to leave them behind. Making them feel at home and comfortable while you are away from them is my goal. We are a close knit family of 3, that will make them part of our family. We have worked from home for the last past 10 years and will continue to do so going forward. If your fur-baby is with Gaston and I, I plan to use my time to walk around the neighborhood or make a point to take a walk in the backyard. We currently have a 4 year old bichon frise mixed named Maui, 3 year old male Figi and their baby Kona who is 2 years old. Your fur-baby will have a wonderful friend to make once here. They love everyone. I currently work from home, but my work is not demanding. I am able to take breaks and spend time with your family pet. I can follow the same routine you have. I have a fenced yard and will walk them if needed a 2-3 hours. Just let me know the routine you follow and I can do the same.
“My puppy, Miss Daisy, met Jennifer today. She has separation anxiety and is only 10 months old. I had no worries leaving my home and found her in great spirits upon my return. She paid extra attention to her with a couple of walks and lots of cuddling, too. Thanks, Jennifer, you will hear from me soon!”

About: I’ve been caring for animals my whole life- it’s a true passion that shapes who I am. From growing up with my own dog and regularly helping neighbors with walks, feeding, and playtime, to currently sharing my home with my energetic Aussiedoodle, Bodhie, I’ve built hands-on experience that lets me adapt quickly to each pet’s unique needs and personality. I’m equally comfortable with cats, having lived with them for years and handled everything from daily feeding and interactive play to litter box care and administering medication when needed. For small animals, I grew up with hamsters and have been a dedicated guinea pig mom to three wonderful piggies in my adult life, so I know exactly how to provide the specialized care, fresh veggies, and gentle handling these little ones thrive on. I’m actively working with my own high-energy young dog on leash skills and calm behavior around distractions, so I’m comfortable supporting your pet’s training routines too. What truly sets me apart is my deep respect and individualized attention for every animal I care for- I treat them as if they were my own. Whether it’s tailoring the perfect walk for your dog, giving your cat those essential snuggles, maintaining a consistent routine for your senior pet, or ensuring your small animal gets enrichment and the right diet, I’m committed to keeping them happy, safe, and loved while you’re away. I’m currently on a leave of absence from my job, which means I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to caring for your pets. I will be able to give your fur babies the attention, care, and companionship they deserve throughout the day. Your pet won’t just get the basics- they’ll get quality time, belly rubs, and lots of love! I make it a priority to maintain a safe, familiar, and stress-free environment. I know how important routines are, so I closely follow your instructions- from feeding and medication to walk schedules and favorite toys or games. I take time to build trust with your pet, always moving at their pace and making sure they feel comfortable while you’re away. I also respect your home just as much as I respect your pets- keeping things tidy, secure, and treating your space with care. You can feel confident knowing your pet is in good hands and receiving plenty of attention, love, and care while you’re gone.
About: Hi everyone! My name is Hannah, and I’m a lifelong animal lover with years of experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. 🐾 I work from home part-time and create my own schedule, which gives me very flexible availability for drop-ins, walks, and boarding. I’m home often throughout the day, so your pup will get plenty of attention, care, and company while they’re with me! I have a dog of my own who is extremely friendly with other dogs. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, and loves having new friends around. I’m happy to provide vaccination records if requested. I also have a 4-month-old baby, so for boarding in my home, I can only accept dogs who are comfortable around both other dogs and young children. Your pet’s safety and comfort—as well as my family’s—is always my priority. For walks and drop-in visits, my baby may occasionally come along with me in the stroller. If you would prefer that I visit or walk your pup without my baby, just let me know when booking and we can discuss what works best! I know how important it is to have someone you can trust with your pets, and I’ll treat your animals with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. ❤️ I work from home part time and create my own schedule so it’s very flexible! I am home all throughout the day. If i do step out, it’s only 1-2 hours at most. I can do drop ins and walks same day requests ! Also available on weekends/ holidays. I live in a home with a fence that has locks and I also have plenty of leashes. I will make sure your pup is safe at all times! My dogs Maya and Hunter are very comfortable with other dogs and both service dogs. We foster often as well. My dogs are both vaccinated and Maya my female husky/shepard is spayed.

About: I have cared for or been around almost every dog breed that exists. Every time I meet a new pet, it very easy for me to get comfortable with them and show them the respect they deserve in order for them to get comfortable with me. I have owned 3 different dog breeds, each different sizes. Big, medium, or small, I am able to walk and play with them all! I am currently in flight school, flying Saturday to Tuesday every week for 3 hours out of the day. I can attend to your pets before and after a flight, or any time on the days I am not flying (Wednesday to Friday). I will follow your instructions to the last detail. How I walk and play with your dog is how you would walk and play with your dog. I have experience with elderly pets as well and will work with you to get them active without pushing them too much.
“Stefania was the absolute best! So kind and attentive to our cat… although we took our dog with us on our trip, she also met him during our “meet & greet” …showed love to both! We not only recommend her to others, we hope she’s available for our future needs!!”

From iguanas and hamsters to cats and dogs, I’ve cared for just about every kind of furry, scaled, and whiskered companion along the way 🐾 I’ve especially spent most of my life caring for dogs, so understanding their personalities, routines, and needs comes naturally to me. You can trust that I’ll treat your pets with the same attention, affection, and care I give my own. Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
