Thank you for taking care of our dogs and the assurance that they were well cared for allowed us to truly enjoy our vacation.”

About: Hello! My name is Diane Kelly and I would love to care for your pet. I live in Palmetto, Fl. I would welcome traveling to your home to walk your dog, feed them, give medications if necessary and dog or cat sit overnight. I also would love to care for your cat or cats! I am very active and enjoy walking. Currently, I have a very flexible schedule. For walks, I prefer not to drive more than 20-25 minutes. For overnight sitting, I will drive further. If you are looking for a responsible caregiver for your animal, I would love to help. About this sitter: I would love to help you take care of your pets! I have had a great deal of experience caring for pets. I have volunteered at shelters; have walked, boarded and cared for dogs for many years; founded New England's first Cat Cafe; have veterinarian ultrasound scanning experience and expertise; and have worked on a very large, private animal rescue. I am a very active lady who loves to walk and will provide your dog with plenty of exercise if you like. I would be happy to meet with you and your dog, or cat before you hire me to give you assurance that your special friends will be loved and pampered. I provide daily photos of any pets I housesit, or for any new clients to assure you that your pet is being properly cared for. I have been an animal lover all of my life. But, I have cared for many cats, dogs, horses, bunnies, chickens and roosters, and even a pig called Bulldozer. I have experience with administering medications, orally and subcutaneously. Currently I am working for myself only and have a fair amount of time. Once I commit to care for your fur baby, you can trust me to take excellent care of them. I will care for your pets just as you ask me to. I provide videos and photos to assure your pets are in great care while they are in my care.
About: I have always had a dog in my life since I was born but my caretaking journey started when a little corgi entered into my world. She was an escape artist, food fiend, she couldn’t be left for too long and she battled anxiety her whole life, but she brought me the most joy. She taught me attentiveness, and limitless love. She recently crossed the rainbow bridge so I have been missing the presence of my fury friend but am excited to hang out with doggies again!!! Skills include: puppy care, senior care, special needs. During the school year, I am a grad student and my weekends are usually free. I have class 9-5:30pm tue-fri with a 2 hour break 12-2pm everyday. Mondays are always free. I appreciate a list of instructions specifically stating your pets schedule and needs. The more detailed the better:) I love to take videos and pictures to keep you updated through the process. I know how important it is to have peace of mind when leaving your baby with a stranger.
“My dog stayed with Karlee for 4 nights recently and he had such a great time! She brought him on multiple adventures including the beach and made sure to send many pics and update me daily. I would highly recommend Karlee for dog watching and sitting!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
