“Awesome experience for Bentley and us! Frances texted us daily and sent us pictures of our little dog. Her home was warm and inviting and she had a huge, fenced in backyard for Bentley to play in. We will most definitely use her in the future!”

“We were so happy with Kendal and Dre. Dexter seemed so comfortable with them and their pup, Zeus. They were excellent keeping us informed with text messages, pictures and videos. Kendal even gave him a goody bag with homemade treats and a toy bone. We have already booked them for another stay next month. Thank you for making us feel comfortable leaving our baby with you both.”

“Linda was a wonderful sitter for my 1 year old Cockapoo. I was a little nervous about finding a sitter when we moved in September. Thanks to Rover and Linda I found a way to be comfortable about leaving my baby. After having a meet and greet with Linda, I was sure that I found the right person. I was happy when she advised me during the day and sent cute pictures. It made my weekend away so much better knowing my puppy was well taken care of.”

“Felicia is kind and caring. I always felt like my dog was in great hands. Always appreciated her updates, photos, and videos. Would Definitely recommend her to others and would use her again myself.”

“Terrific care and love generatedfrom Tracy to Millie. Plays ball and takes walks with Millie on a daily basis. She asked for permission to take for car rides and trips, that Millie thoroughly enjoys, and I enthusiastically approved. She relieved the apprehension I had about leaving, enabling me to enjoy my vacation.”

“Cheri is so caring and knowledgeable about animals, dogs in particular! So thankful that we found her to care for our 4-legged baby. Our pup had a great time with Cheri, and we received photos of their time together. Cheri was flexible and super responsive; our dog came home clean and happy; and we highly recommend Cheri!”

“Lori was great with communicating and sending pictures of our dog throughout his stay. She took care of him like he was her own. We will definitely use Lori again!”

“James was awesome. He took in our Ellie and treated her as his own!! We relaxed and enjoyed our visit at the beach knowing Ellie was with James and very well taken care of. Lisa E.”

“I am thankful to have found Faith & Tanner! Our pups seemed to get along with Levee and seemed at ease during our meet & greet. Both Faith & Tanner were attentive, sending us pictures and videos throughout our pups’ short stay. I look forward to having the pups stay with them again!”

About: I grew up with all kinds of animals and have always had a doggie companion. I have been dog sitting now for more than three years and love it! I take pride in welcoming your fur babies into my home as another member of the family. I have two Maltese boys that love to play with other furry friends as well. I also have a cat and while she may not be as big of a fan of dogs as I am, she tolerates her dog-acquaintances gracefully. I welcome your doggy into our home and do our best to make sure they are loved, played with, and well-cared for. I also welcome any questions! I work from home and am available all day to take the babies out for walks, make sure they get plenty of love and attention. Many will curl up in my lap to nap while I work. At night, we have plenty of doggy beds and one large human one where all are welcome to join. My home is located in a safe and gated community. Moreover, I have a healthcare background and am attentive to doggy nutrition, activity, and overall health.
“My dog stayed with Karlee for 4 nights recently and he had such a great time! She brought him on multiple adventures including the beach and made sure to send many pics and update me daily. I would highly recommend Karlee for dog watching and sitting!”

“Mikayla is wonderful! She’s so good with all pets, she just gets them. She cared for our 6 month old puppy and 1 1/2 year old and they were so happy. Great space to play and her dogs were kind and loving. We received photos and updates that allowed us to know all was well. Mikayla communicated beautifully when we reached out in need and was accommodating to our flight schedules. It’s comforting to have found her and we will certainly reach out again. Thank you, Mikayla and family!”

“Stephany came very highly reviewed and for good reason! She was incredibly communicative throughout the entire process from booking through pick up and took fantastic care of our dog. She didn't miss a day of photos and provided consistent updates, which is always a great relief when entrusting someone to care for your loved one. She provide Rex his own space so that he could have quiet and solitude when needed, but also ample play and outdoor time. Rex left a happy and healthy boy. Can't recommend her enough!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
