“Betsy is awesome. Thank you so much for watching Zoey so we could spend a couple days at the beach, without worrying if we left her alone at our rental! Highly recommend. A++++”

“Adela was truly amazing! She was super communicative and responsive, friendly, and attentive to my pup while I was away. I really appreciated how genuine she was from the get go bc I felt very assured and confident my dog would be in great hands - which turned out to be exactly right. She went above and beyond, even taking her on multiple extra walks and trips to the park each day which I know my pup LOVED. Definitely someone I recommend and will be rebooking with again in the future!”

About: I specialize in shy, nervous, and sensitive pets who need a little extra patience and understanding. My calm energy helps animals feel safe and open up at their own pace. Even the ones who “don’t like people” usually end up loving me 🐾 I plan my weekly routine around my pet care commitments to ensure reliability and consistency. I’m organized, punctual, and mindful of each pet’s schedule, whether that’s feeding times, walks, or medication. I take this responsibility seriously and make sure every pet receives dependable, quality care. Your pet’s safety and emotional comfort are my top priorities. I create a calm, secure environment and take the time to understand each pet’s unique personality, especially those who are shy or sensitive. I’m very attentive, gentle, and communicative, so you can feel completely at ease while your pet is in my care.
About: I have been a veterinary technician and am a life long animal lover. I have my associates degree in veterinary science. Comfortable with medication and older animals. Taking care of pets since I was a kiddo. My schedule is very flexible and I am available for most jobs. The career I have is sales and I am able to set my own appointments/hours. I have a fenced in yard and am able to crate if needed. We do not currently have any dogs in our home, one cat who is friendly.

“SO MANY GOOD THINGS I COULD SAY!!! My boyfriend and I look at our two dogs, Hope (almost 2) and Zeus (3 months), like they are children. Our girl Hope can be an escape artist at times and is very active, so we have a collar for her with gps and tracking of her steps. With that being said, in the past I have not re-used some people off rover because Hope simply would not move the entire time!!! At Donnas, Hope and Zeus both ran and ran (after all I could tell). And had an absolute blast. Her yard is fenced in so no dog could get out, even our little lunatics. She knows so much about dogs I have never felt so confident with leaving our babies with someone before. Hope and Zeus will be back!! Truly a gem!”

“I believe our boys have found their new best friend! We have a couple of rescues and one of them is high energy, high anxiety. We really needed someone who could help him become more comfortable around other dogs—needed lots of patience! Tara is an answer to a prayer! We had two meet and greets with her dog, and we just picked them up from their first day of daycare. They did great and we are so happy to recommend Tara!”

“Our miniature dachshund "Monty" went to Olga for daycare a couple of times. He liked her very much and was well cared for by Olga and her family. Unfortunately we aren't able to book her anymore cause we just moved. We wish Olga and her family the very best.”

About: Hi! I’m Allyson, dog mom to Woody and Birdie. 🐾 We absolutely love having dogs come stay and spend time with us in our home! My yard is fully fenced as safety is a priority for me. I’m a lifelong dog lover and formerly worked as a veterinary assistant, giving me lots of hands-on experience with dogs of all breeds, sizes, personalities, and energy levels. Our home also has a pool, and I spend a good amount of time each day exercising my own dogs in it. If your dog already loves to swim, they’re welcome to enjoy some pool time too! And if you’d like me to help teach your dog how to swim safely, I’d be happy to work with them at their own pace. I was previously on Rover and am so happy to be back! “Thank you Audrey and Carson!! I know Mia had the best day (she’s currently out cold on the couch) It was a super last minute reservation and they were more than accommodating and answered very quickly. Thank you too!”

“Charlie awas very responsive, and accommodating. His wife took Halo for a walk as soon as we arrived. Charlie sent pictures and updates on Halo. I would definitely recommend them.”

“Our little baby doesn’t get to play much with other animals and he had his first experience here and it went amazing. Tatiana was very caring. She provided amazing picture and video. We would definitely book with her again very soon. Thank you so much for being such a great help and provider for our little boy.”

“My dog is very timid with new people and except for an hour at the groomer, she had never been left with anyone else. Justin was willing to take her on short notice for an unexpected daycare need two days. Justin helped her feel safe and she came home with her tail wagging.”

About: I’ve had dogs in my life since I was 4 years old and have been dog sitting for the past 10 years. I currently have two dogs of my own, ages 1 and 3, and I recently cared for my senior dog through age 15. I’m happy to follow your dog’s normal routine and make their stay feel as comfortable and familiar as possible. “Jewell is a jewel! She took perfect care of my 15 year-old 10 lb fog. She is attentive, understands dogs, caring, and even after our first visit, I know I can trust her with my little old soul Zorro completely.”

About: I’ve taken care of pets since I was a little girl. I simply adore pets of any kind. If given the chance with your fur baby, I will treat them like my own. I currently live on the island of Longboat Key full time so this makes it perfect for individuals who work or are snowbirds and need a sitter only during certain months. I have a fully fenced in property and love to be outside and having fun with your pet. I also travel to your home too, if needed.
“Fumiko was a blessing!!! She treated Luna like her own and was constantly sending pictures and videos of her having a good time. I recommend her with my eyes closed… your fur baby is in good hands. Thank you so much for giving me peace and being so accommodating with me and Luna. I will call you again when in the area.”

“Jewel was and is amazing with our pups! Sent many pictures of them so mom was very happy. One of our dogs tends to be very picky about who he stays with, he loved Jewel immediately. My husband and I couldn’t believe it. We will be booking with her again. They came home so happy and tried.”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
