About: Hey, I'm Charlie. I live in the Wares Creek area. I have a partner, no kids, and best of all, I have a flexible "real" job that allows me to do Rover also. My partner Lisa and I love animals - esp cats and dogs. I can hold adult conversations - whether on email, text or in person. I look forward to meeting you and your pet(s) down the road. I have a flexible real job so I’m able to work during day. I also have reliable transportation and I’m not a flake who will disappear on you. We have a fenced yard and rooms within the house where we can keep pets separate if that is needed. I am seeking doggy or kitty day care or boarding short or long term stays.
“Kym and Glen have been wonderful caring for my dog during my long work hours! It’s clear they truly love animals, and my dog is always excited to see them. They provide a safe, fun environment and keep me updated with photos and messages throughout the day. I always feel at ease knowing my dog is in such good hands. I highly recommend Them for anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter!”

“Tasha had a great time with Michelle! She is a nervous girl but Michelle made sure she felt safe in a new environment. Tasha even met a few new doggy friends! Michelle communicated well prior to Tasha’s visit and throughout her stay. Her feedback certainly helped me feel at ease. This was my first time using Rover and Michelle and will certainly book again. Thanks Michelle for welcoming Tasha into your home”

About: I grew up on a farm and have taken care of every farm animal from horses to chickens. My sister said I was like the Pied Piper. Animals would just follow me around. I have trained therapy dogs and one service dog. I love all animals and they love me. I often say I'd rather spend time with dogs than people. (I like people, too) I was a certified teacher for 38 years and just recently retired. Oh, kids like me, too. I'm currently retired and spend a great deal of my time at home. I teach music lessons one afternoon a week but other than that your dog will have lots of attention. I have a 1/4 acre fenced in yard with an electronic gate that is always locked and can only be opened with a remote gate opener. I live in a very shaded area of the historic part of a quiet neighborhood. . I have a neutered husky that loves dogs from 4 to 150 pounds.

“I believe our boys have found their new best friend! We have a couple of rescues and one of them is high energy, high anxiety. We really needed someone who could help him become more comfortable around other dogs—needed lots of patience! Tara is an answer to a prayer! We had two meet and greets with her dog, and we just picked them up from their first day of daycare. They did great and we are so happy to recommend Tara!”

“SO MANY GOOD THINGS I COULD SAY!!! My boyfriend and I look at our two dogs, Hope (almost 2) and Zeus (3 months), like they are children. Our girl Hope can be an escape artist at times and is very active, so we have a collar for her with gps and tracking of her steps. With that being said, in the past I have not re-used some people off rover because Hope simply would not move the entire time!!! At Donnas, Hope and Zeus both ran and ran (after all I could tell). And had an absolute blast. Her yard is fenced in so no dog could get out, even our little lunatics. She knows so much about dogs I have never felt so confident with leaving our babies with someone before. Hope and Zeus will be back!! Truly a gem!”

“I contacted Justin on the same day that I was in need of his doggie daycare services. Justin was wonderful with my baby Cargo. He was extremely patient with me. He met every need that Cargo needed as well as taking care of all my requests or concerns. He brought cargo to the dog park twice and sent me pictures. If and when I go back to Longboat Key, Florida I will contact Justin to take care of my Cargo again.”

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover with a natural connection to pets of all kinds. I grew up with Yorkies and cats, and today I share my home with two retired rescue greyhounds. I’ve also spent time around large breeds like English Mastiffs, so I’m confident handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I bring a calm, patient energy that helps pets feel safe and comfortable—whether they’re shy, senior, or full of puppy energy. I understand how important it is for your pet to feel at ease while you’re away, and I’m fully committed to creating that sense of home and routine for them. From administering medications to taking gentle walks or simply being a warm presence, I treat every pet as if they were my own. My love for animals started at a very young age—I even worked at a veterinary hospital at age 14 as a dog trainer, which gave me hands-on experience in caring for and understanding pets. That early passion has only grown stronger over the years. Pet care is now a natural part of my daily life. I start and end each day with walks and quality time with my two retired greyhounds, so caring for animals is woven into my routine. Whether it’s feeding, walking, giving medication, or simply offering comfort and companionship, I genuinely enjoy every part of it. I work from home and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets the attention, care, and consistency they need—whether it’s daily drop-ins, overnight stays, or weekend visits. Making animals feel loved and secure is something I take pride in, and it never feels like a task—it’s something I truly love. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, my goal is always the same: to make them feel safe, loved, and as comfortable as possible. I follow each pet’s routine closely—feeding schedules, walk times, play preferences, and any special needs like medication or extra quiet time. In your home, I’m respectful of your space and keep things tidy and consistent, so your pet feels secure while you’re away. I take the time to get to know their personality and provide calm companionship, play, and affection based on what they enjoy. In my home, pets are treated like family. I create a peaceful, pet-friendly environment with soft spaces to relax, lots of love, and a routine that helps reduce stress. Whether they need extra snuggles, slow-paced walks, or a little patience, I meet them where they are—physically and emotionally.
“Thank you so much Jessica! You were wonderful in greeting my puppy and keeping her active and safe. She had a great experience and came home happy and tired. Thank you also for the care in helping me with my car battery giving up on me today- you were very caring.”
