Betsy watched our dog, who has separation anxiety, so we could attend a baby shower. Since we don’t live in the area, we really appreciated how accommodating and responsive she was throughout the whole process. When we picked our dog up, she was very calm and comfortable, which gave us great peace of mind. Betsy is very sweet and attentive, we would definitely recommend her!

Fantastic dog care Very impressed with how Janette handles dogs It was our first time and Griffin was relaxed and peaceful when I picked him up, which is unusual using a first time sitter I highly recommend her, but not so much that I can’t find space to use her again!!! 5+ stars

Jewel was and is amazing with our pups! Sent many pictures of them so mom was very happy. One of our dogs tends to be very picky about who he stays with, he loved Jewel immediately. My husband and I couldn’t believe it. We will be booking with her again. They came home so happy and tried.

Our miniature dachshund "Monty" went to Olga for daycare a couple of times. He liked her very much and was well cared for by Olga and her family. Unfortunately we aren't able to book her anymore cause we just moved. We wish Olga and her family the very best.

I believe our boys have found their new best friend! We have a couple of rescues and one of them is high energy, high anxiety. We really needed someone who could help him become more comfortable around other dogs—needed lots of patience! Tara is an answer to a prayer! We had two meet and greets with her dog, and we just picked them up from their first day of daycare. They did great and we are so happy to recommend Tara!

Adela was easy to work with and made our dog, Nala, very comfortable. Nala has separation anxiety and is usually very wound up and hyper when we pick her up from a sitter. This wasn't the case after her time with Adela. She was calm and didn't seem stressed at all. Nala didn't demonstrate any separation anxiety the second day we left her with Adela, which is uncommon for her, even with people she knows and likes.

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover with a natural connection to pets of all kinds. I grew up with Yorkies and cats, and today I share my home with two retired rescue greyhounds. I’ve also spent time around large breeds like English Mastiffs, so I’m confident handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I bring a calm, patient energy that helps pets feel safe and comfortable—whether they’re shy, senior, or full of puppy energy. I understand how important it is for your pet to feel at ease while you’re away, and I’m fully committed to creating that sense of home and routine for them. From administering medications to taking gentle walks or simply being a warm presence, I treat every pet as if they were my own. My love for animals started at a very young age—I even worked at a veterinary hospital at age 14 as a dog trainer, which gave me hands-on experience in caring for and understanding pets. That early passion has only grown stronger over the years. Pet care is now a natural part of my daily life. I start and end each day with walks and quality time with my two retired greyhounds, so caring for animals is woven into my routine. Whether it’s feeding, walking, giving medication, or simply offering comfort and companionship, I genuinely enjoy every part of it. I work from home and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets the attention, care, and consistency they need—whether it’s daily drop-ins, overnight stays, or weekend visits. Making animals feel loved and secure is something I take pride in, and it never feels like a task—it’s something I truly love. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, my goal is always the same: to make them feel safe, loved, and as comfortable as possible. I follow each pet’s routine closely—feeding schedules, walk times, play preferences, and any special needs like medication or extra quiet time. In your home, I’m respectful of your space and keep things tidy and consistent, so your pet feels secure while you’re away. I take the time to get to know their personality and provide calm companionship, play, and affection based on what they enjoy. In my home, pets are treated like family. I create a peaceful, pet-friendly environment with soft spaces to relax, lots of love, and a routine that helps reduce stress. Whether they need extra snuggles, slow-paced walks, or a little patience, I meet them where they are—physically and emotionally.

I contacted Justin on the same day that I was in need of his doggie daycare services. Justin was wonderful with my baby Cargo. He was extremely patient with me. He met every need that Cargo needed as well as taking care of all my requests or concerns. He brought cargo to the dog park twice and sent me pictures. If and when I go back to Longboat Key, Florida I will contact Justin to take care of my Cargo again.

About: Hi! I'm a lifelong animal lover who has been caring for dogs and cats since I was a kid — so pets have always been a huge part of my life. Honestly, I'm at my best when I'm among animals. 🐾 I've run a small rescue shelter for stray animals, personally funding all of its operations out of my own pocket — from caregiver salaries to food and medications. As a medical doctor, I was also able to personally administer medications and vaccines to the animals under my care, strictly following the vet's recommendations. That hands-on experience means I know how to spot when something's off, keep animals calm and comfortable, and give them the attention they truly deserve. Whether your pup needs a good walk and some playtime or your cat just needs a calm, caring presence while you're away — I've got them covered. I treat every pet like my own, and I'd love to do the same for yours! 🐶🐱 I am currently available for dog walks and boarding dogs or cats as I work as a freelancer. I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule and I am interested in providing care while getting some physical exercise alongside. For boarding pets, I have a condo where your pet is more than welcome. We can do walks in my gated community. A dog park is across the street from my community if your dog loves running.

About: I have grown up with dogs my whole life and currently have 3. I have experience with small and big dogs, ranging from a yorkie to a golden retriever. I have taken care of different family members’ dogs and love to play and snuggle with them! I work part time and my days vary so I will make my availability around my work hours. When I work, it is between 7-3:30 on the week days so I could stop in the morning before a shift and right after if it works for you. When I do not work, I have full availability and can coordinate with you how often I should see your pet! I’m very flexible with the wants of the client! Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priority! I make sure your pets are always supervised, kept in a safe and clean environment, and cared for according to their normal routine to help them feel comfortable. I will gladly send pictures throughout the day if you want updates and see your pets!

About: Hello! My name is Diane Kelly and I would love to care for your pet. I live in Palmetto, Fl. I would welcome traveling to your home to walk your dog, feed them, give medications if necessary and dog or cat sit overnight. I also would love to care for your cat or cats! I am very active and enjoy walking. Currently, I have a very flexible schedule. For walks, I prefer not to drive more than 20-25 minutes. For overnight sitting, I will drive further. If you are looking for a responsible caregiver for your animal, I would love to help. About this sitter: I would love to help you take care of your pets! I have had a great deal of experience caring for pets. I am a very active lady who loves to walk and will provide your dog with plenty of exercise if you like. I would be happy to meet with you and your dog, or cat before you hire me to give you assurance that your special friends will be loved and pampered. I provide daily photos of any pets I housesit, or for any new clients to assure you that your pet is being properly cared for. I have been an animal lover all of my life. But, I have cared for many cats, dogs, horses, bunnies, chickens and roosters, and even a pig called Bulldozer. I have experience with administering medications, orally and subcutaneously. Currently I am working for myself only and have a fair amount of time. Once I commit to care for your fur baby, you can trust me to take excellent care of them. I will care for your pets just as you ask me to. I provide videos and photos to assure your pets are in great care while they are in my care.

About: I've owned and trained large and small dogs for more than 20 years. I love meeting and caring for others pets as well as my own! My schedule is extremely flexible and can accommodate almost all requests! I only work two days of the week in the office and those can be rotated to fit most schedules. I have two pet parks in my neighborhood and a lot of places to walk and play. I do prefer a more quiet and low energy atmosphere to keep pets calm and happy.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Bradenton Beach commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 1,357 sitters in Bradenton Beach, 86% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
