“Mylena is amazing! My dog Tessa has never been around children and let her know I was worried about that and she put me at ease the morning of drop off. This was my first time putting my animal in boarding before. Mylena texted me EVERY day with pics and updates. My heart broke leaving her for 2 weeks, but I knew she was in great hands. I will ALWAYS go back when I need a pet sitter. Thank youuuuu so much for making my girl feel right at home. Highly recommend!!!!!!!”

“She was awesome! She stayed communicating at all times made sure my puppy was comfortable. Sent lots of videos and pics. I’ll definitely book with her again! Recommend 💯”

About: I’m very active who works from home with my own 1.5yr old Lab who’s an absolute angel with no mean bone in his body. There is a large dog park 30 yards from my apartment and a large lake your dogs will get to enjoy plenty as I always aim for 15k steps a day. I watch another large Lab and Golden frequently so very used to handling large, strong dogs! I work from home Monday through Friday and always up by 7am. I take my dog on a long morning walk, lunch and evening with dog park visits sprinkled in between. I along with your dogs love to get sun and fresh air as often as possible. I use the apartment gym for 45min daily and have a Furbo camera to view dogs. My place is 1,005 sq ft inside always cold from the Florida heat with a large fenced in dog park just 30yds from me your dogs will enjoy multiple times a day! I understand how nice it is for a dog to have fun and get all their energy out so you can have extra relaxation and peace of mind!
About: I have trained my dogs since I was fourteen and have a love for pets. I don't work and live in a home with a large backyard so your pets will have my full attention. I have two friendly loving dogs I take care of who would love to have extra friends to play with. :) Sorry but no pit bulls or aggressive breeds will be accepted. Thank you for your understanding. I stay at home but of course may go out for groceries or a small amount of time to the gym. My doggies are well taken care of and spoiled and would love some furry friends to play with. My backyard provides a good area for bathroom breaks and is cleaned on a regular basis. Dogs are allowed on the furniture and bed and are an integral part of my daily life and routine. They are very loved and they know it! :) Bathroom breaks are frequent as I keep an eye on their needs and the water bowls are always clean and available for them.
“I highly recommend Yohanna and Mark. They truly love dogs, and the pictures they sent realty showed my dog as a member of their family. I liked that they only watch one pet at a time, so i knew mine was well cared for.”

“This is Cooper’s 2nd stay with Amy and we are extremely happy! He adjusts well and enjoys having her family giving him lots of love! We also appreciate the frequent photos of Cooper while we are away. Thank you!!”

“Jeffrey and Stephanie are fantastic dog sitters — I couldn't recommend them more highly! From the very first meet-and-greet, they were warm, attentive, and clearly dog people through and through. They kept me updated with photos and messages throughout every stay, so I always knew my pup was happy, safe, and having a great time. My dog absolutely adores them. It's such a relief to have sitters I trust completely — they treat my dog like family. Highly recommend booking with them!”
“Tiana and her daughter took great care of Minnie. Tiana was also very responsive, kind, and sent plenty of photos/videos. We were at peace knowing our dog was cared for and given plenty of attention and snuggles. Would highly recommend!”

“Laurie was amazing! She communicated well, set up a meet & greet on very short notice, and made our pup feel right at home. She was super understanding of all his quirks and did a great job sticking to his routine. I will definitely be using her again soon!”

“Tina was great with my boy Iverson. She was extremely patient and understanding when it came to his puppy tendencies. She took a ton of pictures for me and gave me some great feedback on how he did during his stay overnight.”

“Nicole and her family were wonderful with my pug and French bulldog! They are a true dog family and Nicole has prior dog experience that was very helpful in terms of gauging behavior, interaction with other dogs, and any individual needs. They gave them lots of playtime as well as breaks/rest, asked good questions, and shared photos & videos. Nicole has a large fenced-in yard that my dogs loved tearing around in. Their family also were able to help on short notice when I had a family emergency out-of-state, which made a huge difference. Thank you SO much for caring for my pups!”

“Hope was able to take my dog on short notice after a different sitter cancelled at the last minute. There were lots of dogs for my pup to play with, and lots of space indoors and out for him to move around. She was communicative and provided updates and photos.”

“Lis was able to keep my three babies last minute while I finished my move. She was very friendly and I'm very grateful for her flexibility and willingness to help! She was very comfortable around my cats and had other animals as well. I would recommend her!”

“We have a 5 year old French Bulldog named Bella. She needs a little bit of extra care. Her face wrinkles need cleaned and protected daily. She also is on a special diet. Bella recently stayed with Sharon for a week, while we were on vacation. Sharon was recommended by my daughter and son-in-law and did not disappoint! Bella had a lovely time with all the dogs there. She was very well taken care of, Sharon did all the extras and more. Sharon gave us daily updates with a few photos. Sharon is fabulous! We will use her for all of our boarding needs. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lakewood Ranch
Lori and her husband welcomed my Louie and Natty into their home this past weekend. This was our first Rover experience and it could not have been better. My boys were well taken care of, happy and I received regular progress updates and pictures which I loved. Lori was also very accommodating when our flight home was running late. I would highly recommend Lori, and I will do so to family and friends in the area. If you want the best care for your pet, I would book Lori. This was a wonderful first experience with Rover!

Ashley was wonderful with Lulu during our 6 night trip. She had great communication, sent daily photo updates, followed all of our care requests, and made us feel completely comfortable boarding our pup while we were away. Lulu was happy and well cared for when we picked her up, and Ashley even packed up all of her gear for pickup, which was so thoughtful. We would absolutely book with her again!

We had a wonderful experience with Amy! She provided daily photos and frequent updates, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Her communication was excellent, and it was clear she treated our dog as if she were her own. We couldn’t have asked for better care and would highly recommend her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
